I began my career in care at the age of 16 and have always had a real passion for caring for others. Over the years I have enjoyed working in various roles and have over 20 years of experience in the care industry. I hold a QCF Level 5 in health and social care business management as well as over 20 specialist courses. I pride myself in being able to make great relationships with residents, families, work colleagues and professional partners. I have always had a passion for caring for the elderly. Here at Bridgedale, I understand the importance of ensuring we provide the highest level of person-centred care to our residents, to ensure that they remain happy, content and as independent as possible. Angela has worked at Bridgedale since it first opened its doors in 2011. Angela has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the administration and care sector with over 20 years’ experience and holds an NVQ 3 in business & Administration. As our home administrator Angela is passionate about running our home and supporting the manager by maintaining the administration, and financial systems within the home, she always makes time for everyone by having an open-door policy and has built great relationships with residents, families, work colleagues and professional partners. “Bridgedale House is a lovely home to work in, where all the team strive to ensure our residents receive the highest standard of care and I am proud to be part of the team. Sarah-Jane began her career in care in 2015 first as a volunteer here at Bridgedale. Before Joining Bridgedale House Sarah-Jane had completed her NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4 in Health and Social Care, along with 18 specialist training courses since Joining Bridgedale House. She is a kind, caring individual who is passionate and enthusiastic about creating a positive, fun, engaging, family environment for all our residents, staff and visitors. Sarah-Jane loves to introduce new activities to the monthly programme always taking on board the resident’s interests and requests. She has established intergenerational visits with the local schools on a regular basis and introduced ‘resident of the day’ to Bridgedale. “Working at Bridgedale House, it is like having a second family. Every day at work is different, and I am enjoying my new role. I love that I can continue to support the residents, team and families in my new role”
Teresa has over 20 years of experience in care and has completed her NVQ Levels 2, and 3 in Health and Social Care, along with 18 specialist training courses since Joining Bridgedale House. Teresa has enjoyed working in many different roles over the years. She joined the team in 2013. Since starting she has built great relationships with residents, families, work colleagues and professional partners and is always going above and above making sure our residents are provided and receive the highest level of person-centred care and support they need. “I love working at Bridgedale House. I have always had a passion for caring for others,I enjoy building relationships and supporting our residents as well as their family and friends. Sharon Joined the team in 2013, before joining us at Bridgedale Sharon had worked in many different roles within the healthcare sector. She has a wealth of knowledge and over 40 years’ experience. Sharon holds her NVQ 2,3 and over 18 specialist training courses. As team leader Sharon takes great pride in providing compassionate and high-quality care, ensuring the wellbeing and dignity of every resident is supported. Sharon is dedicated to leading by example and is always there to offer guidance to the team and creates a positive and nurturing environment where both staff and residents feel valued. “My role allows me to make a meaningful difference in peoples lives everyday which is both a privilege and a passion.
Sophie Joined the team in 2023, before joining Bridgedale Sophie had worked in many different roles within the health care and public sector. Sophie started as a care assistant here and is now enjoying her new role as Team Leader, “Every day brings new challenges but also meaningful moments of kindness, connection and making a real difference in people’s lives. Seeing my team grow in confidence and knowing we are creating a warm compassionate environment makes this role incredibly rewarding. “
Fatima joined the team in 2016. She holds her NVQ 2,3 along with over 15 specialist training courses. As night team leader Fatima provides essential support and comfort to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being during the night. Her compassion and vigilance make a real difference in our resident’s lives, offering reassurance and quality care when it matters most. “Being a team leader is more than just a job – it’s a real privilege. I love guiding and supporting my team to provide the best care possible, ensuring our residents feel safe, valued and respected.”
Ancy Joined the team in 2024. She holds her NVQ, 2 ,3 along with over 15 specialist courses. As night team leader Ancy is dedicated to ensuring our residents receive the essential support and reassurance they need during the night ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. “I love my role as Night Team Leader here at Bridgedale because it gives me the opportunity to provide comfort and support when residents need it most. The quiet hours allow for meaningful one-on-one care, ensuring that everyone feels safe and valued. Knowing that I make a difference in someone's life, even in the smallest ways, brings me a deep sense of fulfilment and purpose."
Jess began her career in care in 2010 first as a social worker in Portugal. Jess joined the team in 2020. She is passionate about delivering the highest standard of care to our residents and always has a smile on her face. Jess loves to entertain, sing and create a fun and happy environment for the residents, staff and families “I love working in care because no two days are the same”.
Steph began her career in care in 2013. Steph joined the team in 2014 She is passionate about making a difference in the residents’ lives “I always want the best for the residents they are like a second family and love to support them daily to maintain their independence and individuality”
Siobhan joined the team in 2023. She always has a smile on her face and is passionate about making a difference every day to our residents. “Seeing smiles, and hearing laughter makes working in care special. You can go home knowing that you have made a difference to a person's day even if it was just for a few seconds”
Anu joined the team in 2021 she has her NVQ2 along with over 10 specialist training courses, as well as currently working towards her NVQ 3. Anu is passionate about providing compassionate and person-centred care to our residents, she takes great pride in supporting our residents with dignity, respect and kindness ensuring they always feel comfortable and valued. “My role allows me to build meaningful connections offering not just physical assistance but also emotional support. Knowing I can make a difference in someone’s day no matter how small is what makes this job so rewarding”.
Niamh joined the team in 2024, she holds her NVQ 2 along with over 10 specialist training courses. Niamh is a compassionate, patient and caring individual who provides a high standard of care and support to our residents always ensuring that our residents feel valued and respected. “Working in care allows me to make a real difference. Seeing a smile, hearing a thank you or simply knowing I have helped someone feel valued makes it all worthwhile. “
Tia joined the team in 2021. Before Joining us, Tia had completed her NVQ 2 in health & social care and since joining the team has completed over 10 specialist training courses. Tia always has a smile on her face and loves to care for and entertain our residents, her favourite activity is music and movement. “I truly enjoy working in care because it allows me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Helping others achieve comfort, dignity and independence is incredibly rewarding, and being a part of the team at Bridgedale that shares these values inspires me every day”
Megan Joined the team in 2015. She holds her NVQ 2 along with over 10 specialist training courses. Megan is a compassionate, patient and dedicated individual. She is passionate about caring for others and ensuring our residents always receive the highest standard of person-centred care, she always has a smile on her face and has built great relationships with our residents and their families. “I love working in care because it’s about more than just support, it’s about connection kindness and making sure no one feels alone.”
Agnes joined the team in 2024, she holds her NVQ 2 along with over 10 specialist training courses. Agnes is a compassionate, dedicated individual who brings warmth, kindness, and positivity when supporting our residents. “I enjoy working in care because every day is an opportunity to make a difference. Charlotte began her career in care in 2011 and has been a member of the team at Bridgedale since it first opened its doors in 2013. Charlotte has recently become our Housekeeper and is enjoying her new role. She prides herself on keeping the home clean and sparkling. “I find it extremely rewarding maintaining a clean, tidy and pleasant home-from-home environment for our residents, relatives and visitors”
Richard joined the team in 2024. Before joining us here at Bridgedale Richard had almost 40 years’ experience as an electrician and in the building trade. Richard is ‘the man who can fix it’. He enjoys helping the residents and staff with any requests they may have. “I love being a helping hand in every corner of the home and take pride in my work around Bridgedale because it allows me to ensure the environment is safe, functional and comfortable for both residents, staff and visitors”.
Evan began his career in care when he was 16 and joined the team in 2021. Before coming to Bridgedale he had worked in many different roles within the care sector. Evan is our head chef with a real passion for cooking. Evan takes pride, time and attention to making mealtimes the highlight of the day for our residents. Evan enjoys taking the time to work alongside the team to put on themed lunches, afternoon teas, and seasonal parties for everyone to enjoy. “I love being the head chef here at Bridgedale House. Food makes people happy, and I love to see people happy.”
Emma joined the team in 2024 and has over 15 years’ experience. Emma is a hardworking individual who pays attention to every detail whilst preparing nutritious, delicious and comforting meals tailored to our residents’ dietary needs. Emma’s meals bring warmth and joy to mealtimes, creating dishes that not only nourish the body but also evoke fond memories and a sense of home to our residents. “I love being one of the chefs here at Bridgedale because food is more than just a meal- its comfort, joy, and a way to bring people together. Knowing that my cooking nourishes and brightens the day for residents makes every dish I prepare truly rewarding”
Sandra joined the team in 2017 before joining Bridgedale Sandra had worked in several different roles within the healthcare sector, Sandra enjoys spending time not only assisting the chef in the kitchen but also assisting our residents and helping them to maintain as much independence as possible. “I enjoy helping serve nutritious meals to our residents and love to be able to offer a helping hand, I pride myself in in creating a relaxed, personal atmosphere for our staff, residents and relatives.
Adele joined us in 2018. Adele is always happy to help others and always finds time in her day to listen and chat with our residents. “I enjoy working at Bridgedale and pride myself in maintaining our resident's home ensuring it is a clean, tidy, comfortable and safe environment”.
Mandy joined the team in 2017. Trish joined the team in 2020, Before joining us Trish had worked in many different roles over the years within the healthcare sector, and she enjoys being part of the domestic team here at Bridgedale. Trish works hard ensuring a prompt laundry service is provided for our residents. "I enjoy working at Bridgedale because it allows me to make a real difference in people’s lives every day.
