My mother has been a resident at Bridgedale House since March when she moved up from another care home in the South East. As well as being hugely less expensive than Mum's previous care home, Bridgedale House is so much better in every respect than her previous home, from the management and care staff to the facilities and comfort of the home. It is obvious that everyone at Bridgedale House actually cares and the caring, happy environment that they provide for Mum is truly excellent. We are kept well informed at all times of Mum's needs and any health issues. My brother has just arrived from overseas and visited Mum at Bridgedale for the first time. He too is bowled over by the lovely staff, the caring environment and our mum's obvious happy life here. We can't praise the place highly enough.
Cannot praise this residence enough. The staff and management work really hard to keep the residents safe and entertained and regularly post photos on a private social media page. They are quick to act on health issues.

There is excellent leadership and during covid, the home has been managed extremely well. I have been kept well informed by telephone, email and zoom meetings. When I couldn’t visit in person, there is a booth to visit which worked well. There are activities every day as well as visiting singers (when rules allow). I would highly recommend Bridgedale.
Excellent facilities and care provided by lovely staff. Bridgedale is the perfect place to look after my mum and I could not be happier with the support and peace of mind they provide. They have gone above and beyond during the Covid period to make sure all the residents are safe and well.

Exceptional care, kindness and professionalism. All the staff work together. We are fully informed of my mother-in-law's care and any issues. The management have followed covid regulations meticulously throughout the pandemic.

Bridgedale provides a lovely environment for residents, high quality rooms, sitting rooms etc and the garden is lovely. It’s difficult to know what happens in the home as my mother doesn’t remember anything, but what I’ve seen when I visit are caring, respectful staff. I’ve also seen staff responding very sensitively to residents who have become angry or agitated. From the photos I’ve seen on Facebook I can see that staff have arranged activities for residents in the home, and before the recent increase in covid restrictions my mother had been on trips out.

I am so pleased that my sister is being looked after in Bridgedale. The staff are so kind and supportive, not only with her physical welfare but in keeping up her spirits and watching out for and being supportive to any change in her mood. The staff have had a difficult time during the past two years, but throughout this time the standard of care has not faltered. In fact, they have gone above and beyond on many occasions. Bridgedale is clean and comfortable, providing lovely meals. The staff are always polite and cheerful and the management are efficient and approachable. Their standards should be a benchmark for the care across the whole social care system. Thank you, Bridgedale, for looking after my lovely sister.
Friendly, welcoming staff, who are professional and caring.

From the very beginning, the staff made me feel welcome and at home, nothing was too much trouble whether day or night. Other residents all seem happy and the house has a very homely feel.

My wife has been a resident in Bridgedale House for the past seven months. The home is beautifully appointed with a home from home feel. The staff are professional and well managed. Most importantly, all concerned are committed and hard-working, looking to ensure the residents as well cared for in a loving environment. Many interesting and amusing activities are undertaken on a daily/weekly basis. Communication with families is excellent, by email and an informative web page.

Every aspect of the home from the management, day to day care, food, activities and coordination with the local go practice is outstanding.
The consistently high level of dedicated care provided by the carers is first class and testament to the excellent recruitment and ongoing training of staff at the home.
I cannot recommend Bridgedale too highly.

If I could give Bridgedale eleven out of ten, I would. My mum was only there for a couple of months before becoming ill and having to move, but the care she received was fantastic. In the days when you were allowed to visit homes in person, we inspected several, all with good CQC ratings, but Bridgedale was head and shoulders above the others, which is why we waited until a space became available for Mum. It seems to me residential care is a two-way street, primarily and most importantly looking after the person receiving the care, but running a close second is managing the relationship between care home and close relatives and this is a key area in which Bridgedale excels. The management and staff exude confidence and competence and create that unquantifiable feel-good factor. In short, when the time comes for someone close to you to need residential care, Bridgedale is the gold standard, your loved one will, quite literally, be better looked after than you could manage yourself!

My Mum was treated with such kindness and dignity which was a huge comfort at a sad time and all the family felt so well supported. The accommodation is superb and the chefs go over and above to ensure dietary preferences are catered for. We could not have had better care for Mum.
It would be very difficult to find fault with Bridgedale House. The residents are treated with respect and dignity and are genuinely loved by the staff. The choice of food is amazing and the chef really does go the extra mile to tempt smaller appetites. The lounges are bright, airy and spacious....

Relatives are kept well-informed and consulted. During the Coronavirus Pandemic, the commitment of staff in moving in to care for residents was incredibly selfless and inspiring. This is an excellent, outstanding care home (and I have visited many).

When you are choosing a care home for your nearest and dearest, it has to be right. Bridgedale House as a care home ticks all the right boxes without exception. I cannot speak highly enough of the way that everyone involved with the running of this home genuinely cares for their residents. In fact, they're not even viewed as residents, they are treated more like extended family, which is extremely reassuring especially during these unprecedented times. From the very first ad-hoc inspection visit, to present day, all of the staff at Bridgedale have consistently out-performed. I cannot praise their selfless actions and behaviour enough. I couldn't dream of my Mum being cared for anywhere else, she is happy, settled and incredibly well looked after at Bridgedale.
Recommended by friend whose mother was a resident. Currently in lockdown with 9 staff members resident as described in local media. It says a lot about the staff commitment to their residents. A lovely house with conservatory and accessible gardens. There seem to be activities every day and there...
Strong proactive management team. And communication.
When my brother, sister and myself were looking for a new home for Mum, we were very fortunate that Bridgedale was recommended to us by the family of someone already living there. From our initial visit, to moving Mum in and our subsequent visits we have always found the staff welcoming, friendly...
Bridgedale is always clean and the atmosphere here is wonderful. Mums happiness, safety and security are paramount and Bridgedale certainly ticks all the boxes.
During the Coronavirus outbreak, we have had the added reassurance that safety is of utmost importance as staff members have moved in to reduce the risk of infection to all. We could not ask for more. These guys have gone above and beyond and we cannot thank them enough. Amazing place. As a family, we would have no hesitations in recommending Bridgedale.
Where do I start, my mum was one of the original residents at Bridgedale and has been there for almost 7 years. In all that time the care she has received has been exemplary from the Management, carers, admin staff, kitchen staff, cleaners and everyone involved, I cannot praise them highly enough....
Even this has been surpassed now though as during the coronavirus lockdown, a team of 9 have moved into the home and will live there for 28 days doing 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week, which I think is above and beyond any of our expectations. We are eternally grateful to them for being mums family in our absence, despite having to leave their own families at home.
I cannot recommend this care home highly enough and send my thanks and love.
