My dad has been in Acer Lodge for 5 weeks and we have the staff to be very caring and supportive. They have looked after dad well in challenging circumstances. He is well looked after and as a family we feel supported too. They just need to keep a better eye on resident's belongings as dad has had a few things go missing while in there.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of our home and team. The people who work in Acer Lodge love to support and we are delighted to see that you have experienced this! Thanks so much S
It was only when I walked into Acer Lodge did I feel reassured and confident that this would be the place I would be happy for him to be cared for. All the staff were professional, respectful and could answer any of my concerns, the warm friendly atmosphere throughout my initial viewing gave me confidence I had found the right place. I was given the opportunity to speak with nurses who would care for my uncles needs and would be happy to take advice from the Motor Neurone Disease team where he was hospitalised and work together in my uncles best interests.
Thank you ever so much for taking the time to write such a beautiful and heartfelt review of Acer Lodge and it's team. We are so happy to have such an engaged, caring and lovely team and they will be so happy to read this. Thank you S
Our father was in Acer Lodge for 7 weeks. He was cared for by many staff, who were all very caring, compassionate, polite, knowledgeable and considerate, right up to the time of his passing away. Nothing was every too much trouble to help him and also anything we needed they sorted. The 3 young gents who looked after him mainly were so attentive to him and he seemed to enjoy them spending time with him. Overall, we would definately recommend Acer Lodge as a place to be looked after in your time of need.
Thank you so much for this feedback, the team truly care and we are so happy that you experienced this whilst your father was with us. Feedback such as yours is fuel for this team and they will appreciate seeing this. Many thanks S
Excellent in all areas.
Thank you so much for our lovely review of our home. We are so proud of the team and the outcomes achieved by them with the people who live in this home. We are so thankful to have been able to offer you and your family such a great experience.
I am incredibly grateful for the care my dad received during his two-week respite stay at Acer Lodge care home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure he felt comfortable and well taken care of. The care home itself was immaculate, providing a warm and welcoming environment that made him feel right at home. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The staff were attentive, always offering us drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. It's clear that they truly care about their residents, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking excellent care in a friendly, caring environment.
Thank you so much for taking the time to send this review. It is really heart-warming to see this and a great reflection on the team and the heart-centred care at Acer Lodge. The team really and truly embody what amazing care looks and feels like. Thank you. Samantha
Acer Lodge is a modern purpose built home and is bright, spacious and located on a canal side which my dad loves to look out upon. I was extremely nervous that dad wouldn't settle there but I needn't have worried, he loves that place. Dad has already taken up drawing again which he hasn't done for some time and has even joined in with singing and dancing when entertainers have visited, something that I didn't think my dad would do.
All in all Acer Lodge has proven to be an excellent choice.

Happy with how they look after my father. They keep him looked after well. Makes you feel homely and welcome. Thank you.
Thank you ever so much for your lovely review! It's so good to know that as a family member, you are very happy with the care and support at the home, we love to get feedback and really appreciate you taking the time to do this. This will make the team at the home very happy!
Everybody is very helpful and kind. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your review! We're so happy we can help.
Lovely place, the staff are really good management, they are really good. Any questions or worries we have get sorted asap. I do think they need more staff but that is ongoing at the moment. Activities for patients to join in are good, just need staff to help them join in more to get to where the activities are going on. Lovely place, highly recommended.
My mother moved to this care home in early November. Since she has been here, when compared to her previous care home, the staff have been fabulous with the interaction with her. She is very settled and there are lots of activities either put on by the care home or by the staff on a one-to-one basis which keeps her mind active and stimulated. I have been very impressed with every aspect of Acer Lodge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high class caring residential home.
Thank you so much for your review! We're so happy Mum is enjoying her time with us and we love spending time with her. We're so happy you chose us!
My dad arrived at Acer Lodge after the transition was arranged with the managers. They were extremely helpful and provided me with all the information I required. We were welcomed by a lady who was very obliging. We were taken to Dad's room which was very spacious and presented as very comfortable and Dad instantly felt at home. After a week in this tranquil setting, Dad improved considerably. The care team showed compassion and empathy and respected Dad's wishes. All the staff in the care home from admin to the chef are very approachable and always a pleasure to talk to. I visit numerous care homes with my job role for the NHS and I would like to say the home is outstanding and a pleasure to visit. Keep up the excellent work Acer Lodge and thank you so much.
Thank you so much for your review! We're so happy Dad enjoyed his time here!
Dad was admitted to the care home in October and after a bumpy start seems to have settled in reasonably well. There have been a few moments of concern but all resolved.
Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback and we're glad we were able to work together to get everything resolved. We're so happy Dad has settled in well.
Amazing wonderful place. People have stuck by me and helped me with my dad. They have made sure everything is done correctly. I appreciate every one. Thank you. 5 stars all the way and more!
Thank you so much for your review! We're so happy we can be there to support you and the family as well as Dad. We're so glad Dad is enjoying himself.
In August we were offered 5 possible care homes for my 94-year-old father. Acer Lodge had been open for 6 weeks but our overwhelming conclusion was that this was how care should look in the 2020's. The facilities are excellent with the use of technology to assist residents and staff. The rooms are well-furnished and there is a modern adaptive bathroom on each floor as well as ensuite facilities. The residents spend more time in a family-like environment with a modern lounge. The care is excellent and the staff are warm and welcoming to residents and visitors alike. I would strongly recommend Acer Lodge for its ethos, facilities and dedicated staff.
Thank you so much for your review! We are really proud of the home we have and the team we have who are so focused on giving the best care possible. We are so happy you chose us!
The management are pleasant, easy to talk to, and answers all my questions. The rooms are nicely decorated. Everywhere is very clean. The bedroom is nice and spacious.
Thank you so much for sending through this review. The team at Acer Lodge strive every day to ensure we offer heart-centred care and when families take the time to do these reviews, this means so much to the team. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I know that who leads the team, will share this fab feedback with them too! Thank you.
I can also state that our experience to date of his new home being able to provide for all his health and care needs has been a very positive one.
All staff are extremely professional and attentive and have shown a willingness and ability to intervene and adapt to any given situation presented. This has strongly displayed to us that providing a healthy and happy environment at all times is the main focus of the care they provide here. Nothing is too much trouble and my dad is treated like family.
I would not hesitate other than to highly recommend Acer Lodge to anyone who has a loved one continuing or starting their care journey.
My dad is happy and settled and we his family have complete peace of mind, there is no substitute for that.
Thank you to all at Acer Lodge you are fantastic.
My dad moved into Acer Lodge recently from another care home. He has settled in so well. He is eating and drinking so much better and is even back to walking with help from the ever-attentive team. The home is lovely, the attention to detail is second to none and such a homely place I couldn't wish for better. My dad's room overlooks the canal and is a lovely peaceful place for him. We are so happy that he has made this move. His quality of life is so much better and as a family we are happy with the care given to him we don't need to worry so much.
Thank you so much for writing this review, the team are fab at Acer Lodge and epitomises our heart-centred care philosophy. The person who leads the team will no doubt share this feedback with them, thanks ever so much.
