Overall Experience
Dad moved to Ashton Court on October 2025 from another care home. The difference in him since his moved to Ashton Court is noticeable.
He is happier, healthier, cleaner and contented.
The staff are very caring and capable. They treat each resisdent as an individual knowing their likes and dislikes. Taking time to meet their needs. My dad had quite swollen and sore legs when he arrived, the difference is marked. Swelling has gone down and his skin looks much better. Dad has Dementia but he is always treated with care, dignity and respect.
I am kept well informed on how he is doing , there are lots of activities for residents to participate in. Not only do the staff care for Dad they care about families too. I am always greeted well from entering the home to leave I feel welcomed and part of the Ashton Court family.

They an amazing bunch of people who show great care and compassion to all. I would highly recommend Ashton Court for any loved one. They are all heroes!

My sister and I were very worried and felt very guilty about putting mam into care home. The staff are very hard working, very caring to both visitors and residents. They help us all the time. The care home is very clean and bedrooms really comfortable.

My dad is treated with care and respect. All of his needs are met and the staff go out of their way to ensure he is clean, well fed and happy. We couldn't ask for better treatment even though the staff are overworked, it does seem as though more staff are needed. But I must stress that the staff do an amazing job, my dad loves them all.

I would not hesitate in recommending Ashton Court to anyone wanting first class professional care for their loved ones. Every member of staff from reception through to care, nursing and management are all second to none. The standard of one to one care in particular is exceptional. The Care Assistants that looked after my mother were well trained, diligent and hard working and also among the most kind and compassionate people I've ever met.

Great concern for all residents on floor 2. Observed horrendous overall care and in particular dementia and end of life care. Some individual caring staff. Staffing levels not adequate. Staff would benefit from education and training. Would welcome opportunity to speak directly with home owner. Concerns discussed with Care Quality Commission.

Overall Experience
Mam was a resident from the summer of 2023 until she passed away at the end of November. She'd been in 2 care homes previously (one for respite and one we had to remove her from for her safety) and I can say hand on heart Ashton Court is a phenomenal care home.
We were always made to feel very welcome to visit at any time, kept up to date with mams care/health. Mam was really settled and happy in the home and every single member of staff cared for her with such dignity and empathy, the home gave me such peace of mind that Mam was in the right place (she had dementia and cancer) and that she was being cared for by a team that did go above and beyond.

Everyone had a smile for both Mam and me and Dad, and the food always smelled lush when we went in! The management and the office staff were always so friendly it really did feel like a home away from home and I don't think you could wish for anything more from a care home looking after your loved one.

My mother is in the last stage of dementia and she requires 24-hour care. Recently she become very poorly with pneumonia. The staff were very caring and were in contact with me throughout. The matter became worse when Mam returned to the care home and she was placed on end-of-life care. The staff have been regularly monitoring Mam, they also keep her dignity daily. She has mouth care and body care. They also took care of my family during such a difficult time.

My grandfather can no longer take care of himself so my mother and I decided to put him into this adorable care home. Best decision we have made.
My auntie said it's the best care home she's ever seen and she is so thankful to us for putting him into this care home.
It's the most modern care home I've ever seen in my life!

Can't fault it at all 10/10, outstanding!

Staff are wonderful. My mum is well cared for. She may be in mind 'garden' of her own, but the staff are the gardeners, and without them, our mum won't flourish like a pink rose. From reception to caring staff, cleaners, kitchen staff, and nurses. A huge important 'cog' of an amazing working 'clock'. Without you, our mum would lose her smile. Thanks guys.

Cannot fault the care from the staff and nurses but a lack of activities for residents. A list of activities is on the notice board - bingo, quizzes, chats, exercises etc but very rarely happen. Keeping the brain active helps these people.

Our father has been at the home for a year now and is extremely happy with the care and attention he has received. The last year has been very difficult with covid but all the staff have been excellent keeping us informed of what has been happening. There is a pod now so we are able to visit which is proving very popular. Thanks again to all at Ashton Court.
