Avocet House Care Home

Very welcoming, warm and inviting atmosphere. I felt at ease that my mother was in the best place for her. Nothing seemed too much trouble.

The welcome has been amazing. The care and food are lovely. All the trouble everyone goes to. I knew once I came over the doorstep I was safe. Always lots to do, great interest in the people being cared for. We are never missed or ignored. Staff are very attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. The building is like a 10-star hotel. It is an alive and wonderful place to be able to stay. Never been in a care home with so much life. Highly recommend.

A very close friend decided at the age of 98 to go into care full time, she was a very strong-willed lady who l thought would find it difficult to cope with life in a home. Well, I must say from the word go she settled into life very well, but it really helped with the staff being extremely helpful and nothing too much trouble. My friend gets involved with activities and is really enjoying herself, thank you Avocet House Care Home, Boston.

I visited Avocet House as my friend came for respite care and loved this home. The staff are fantastic, the food looked lovely and excellent cleanliness. The home was so welcoming, offered drink and snack, a pleasure to visit.

A wonderful home - when I first walked in I thought it was a hotel! Beautifully decorated and such a homely feel. The staff are incredible and really go the extra mile for all the residents. Would highly recommend.

My dad was the first resident to move into Avocet in November and since he has been well cared for and supported. Nothing is beyond the care staff and my dad's health has improved whilst he has been resident. The chef is happy to cater for dad's likes and baked a beautiful cake for dad's birthday. A home away from home and now a second family to ours.

This place provided a haven of peace and tranquillity when I needed it most. I cannot praise them enough.

My Grandfather went into respite at Avocet House at the beginning of January for 4 weeks, I was really surprised that we as a family were able to visit during the lockdown, visiting via a screen in the Garden Room which is very good for the residents' mental health. The staff welcome the family just as much as the residents by offering support, help and advice. Avocet House make it home from home by offering tea, coffee and homemade cakes to visitors, which gives the family an insight into the food provided to residents. My Grandfather says the food and care are excellent and couldn’t praise the home enough and says dignity is kept at all times. There are also activities offered each day which really helps breakdown the day for the residents.

Wonderful facility with such caring staff. I can sleep easy knowing that Mum is being well taken care of. Staff always available and attentive. Reception staff are fantastic. Families needs are taken very good care of too!

My Father went into Avocet House for respite care for 2 weeks but ended up staying for 4 weeks. The staff at Avocet are very helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. There was lots of support and advice to both resident and family. Both the home and the grounds are beautiful.

Looking forward to visiting her later this week in the Garden Room with all the Covid19 measures in place.

Mum was very poorly when sent to Avocet House from hospital. With the care and support of the lovely staff, my mum really picked up. She is now staying for respite by choice as she feels very safe in their care. The care and support my mum is receiving is of a very high standard and as a family feel mum is being very well looked after.

I moved here on 16.12.20 and at present, there are only 3 residents. Staff and management have been most kind - informative and helpful. I understand there is a cinema and given time the staff will make sure we are stimulated and entertained.

Grandmother was discharged to Avocet House from the hospital. Couldn't have asked for nicer staff who were always so pleasant and helpful to myself and my Mum who were unable to visit directly, due to covid. Warm and welcoming response. Emotional and therapeutic listening and assurance during a difficult time. Thank you - I know my Nan passed away in good hands.

My grandma was admitted 2 days ago, and the team could not have been more compassionate or caring upon her admission. We know she will receive excellent care during her stay. The environment is stunning and the team have been very attentive.
