I have always found the staff friendly and helpful when I have visited.
The entrance to the building is very welcoming and the lounge is spacious and attractive.
My friends room is usually clean, the fact that she has lots of clutter probably makes it more difficult.

Beaumont Manor appears luxurious, but behind the façade, my parent's experience was very distressing. They endured repeated intrusions and interference with personal belongings from residents lacking capacity, leading to significant stress and a violation of privacy. Management dismissed these concerns,
citing "deprivation of liberty" while disregarding the right of others to feel safe. Door guards were ineffective or unusable; the one fitted in our case, couldn't be operated by either parent, creating a feeling of imprisonment, whilst others wandered freely, staff often struggled with it, raising safety concerns. When issues were raised with those in charge, I had to request voices were lowered during the meeting. Concerns such as uncleaned rooms, unchanged blood-stained sheets, were met with cold and patronising responses. One particularly memorable comment was, "This is a care home, not a spa." Whilst nurses and healthcare assistants were excellent, they appear to be stretched.
Reply from Monica Boldeata, Home Manager at Beaumont ManorHello PaulThank you for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear about your parents' experience and the distress caused. We understand your concerns regarding privacy, safety, and communication, and we're reviewing these issues with our team to ensure improvements are made. We sincerely apologise if you felt your concerns were dismissed-this is not the standard we uphold. Cleanliness and dignity are priorities, and your comments will help us address any shortfalls. We truly appreciate your kind words about our nursing and care staff. Your feedback has been shared with the wider team, and we remain committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all residents.

I first went to Beaumont looking for a care home thats not the usual of people sitting round the walls in chairs bored stiff. So imagine my surprise at Beaumont its beautiful great lounges wonderful dining rooms, library, cinema, family welcome at most any time allowed to make rooms to suit you lovely
wet rooms in the rooms - bath facilities you would want in your house. Caring smiling staff residents allow to go where ever they want.

Creating a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment where residents can truly feel at home is at the heart of everything we do. It's wonderful to hear that you noticed the attention we've put into not only the spaces - like the lounges, cinema, and wet rooms - but also into ensuring residents feel free, respected, and genuinely cared for.Our team will be delighted to hear your feedback, especially your kind words about their caring and friendly approach. We know how important it is for families to feel confident and reassured, and we're glad you felt that during your visit. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions, or if there's anything else we can help with.

My Father has been a resident of your care home since Dec 2023. Whilst the care he has received has been of the highest order imaginable, what we now realize in his last few days is how much more important has been his social interactions not just with other residents but the real loving caring attention
he has enjoyed with every single member of your people team. He needed more people connection than he received at home; here he has thrived and enjoyed himself with so many activities as well within the amazing facilities here. We have also experienced how fantastic the food and restaurant service is here as we have had to stay during the last few days! I am so impressed with this place, its people, and the standards of care they provide! Thank you to all the team; you are great because you are all great!
Reply from Kate Emery, Manager at Beaumont ManorThank you so much for your review, which I will share with the staff. Your comments whilst staying here, about living the experience your Dad had lived since December 23 were very profound for all of us and how you experienced what he did. We will miss your Dad and all of his family. Thank you for trusting us to look after your Dad, it has been a privilege and one we will never forget. Our thoughts and love to you all.

Christmas activities were excellent. Think the residents had more going on in their home than the rest of us! The Elvis Tribute Xmas event was very entertaining, followed by a beautiful buffet. Well done to all the staff for making it such an enjoyable afternoon. Thanks to all the staff. They also did
a charity coffee morning fundraising in November, the staff were amazing at cooking cakes to sell.

My mother has always been around family so took her some time to settle however the staff had been very patient and kind towards her. I, personally, have had no issues with my mother being here, we have only decided to take her out to be around her family again and we have put into place a care plan
however if things did not work out, I would be more than happy to have her back at Beaumont Manor.

My mum had been ill. The nurse and senior carer, who are fantastic, professional, loving and caring towards every resident in the care home, they are also always there for residents' families in need of advice.
Paramedics were called for Mum, also great people, I didn't want Mum to go into hospital
and the nurse and senior carer said Mum could be cared for there without going into hospital. The care Mum received was far and beyond their remit. Mum recovered fast with the love and care of the home. The manager runs a tight ship, superstar.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.427)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.427) out of 10 for Beaumont Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 17 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.551 for Beaumont Manor is calculated as follows: ( (134 Excellents x 5) + (38 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (9 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 185 Ratings = 4.551
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.876 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beaumont Manor is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 82 registered maximum number of service users is 16.4. 16 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.4 = 0.976
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
