I could not recommend the home higher. It is very nice like a hotel. The staff are friendly and caring. The management is on the ball and she is very approachable. The whole place and staff could be no better, if I was awarding a medal it would be gold.

This is a wonderful care home, the best we have visited by a long way. The staff make it such a nice environment. They have - without fail - been smiley and friendly and caring towards my grandma. The layout of Beaumont Manor is light and airy and there are plenty of comfy places to sit.
My only area
of concern is that prior to lockdown, we had noticed that it had begun to smell. As it is a new home, it would be amazing if it could keep that 'sheen', which could be achieved with super cleaning. Thank you for everything Beaumont.
Reply from Kay Farrell, Manager at Beaumont ManorThank you for your lovely comments, I have listened to your comment regarding the smell on your visit, I have employed more housekeepers and Care Concern have purchased the home an ozone machine to keep the environment fresh.

My Mum was a resident of Beaumont Manor for 18 months and in that time she received amazing care. Every time I visited her I was treated with kindness. We also celebrated Mum's 70th birthday here and all the staff were kind and helpful. I appreciate everything done for Mum and the lovely memories made
with her care.

Beaumont Manor does not have the look or feel of a care home at all, it’s a hotel atmosphere.
The staff are all friendly, caring yet professional.
My mother-in-law is in the early stages of dementia and stayed a week for respite. Although she was unsettled at times the staff did their best to reassure
her and make her stay a pleasant one. We will definitely use Beaumont Manor again and would highly recommend to all.

We, as a family, cannot praise this care home, Manager and staff highly enough. My Mother in Law received great care and compassion for the last 2 months of her life, which made that difficult time more bearable. Nothing was too much trouble. The nurses and carers treated my Mother in Law (and us, as
a family) as they would a member of their own family, above and beyond the call of duty. A brilliant care home.

My Uncle was resident at the home for 7 weeks before he sadly passed away. During this time he received a very high level of professional care. The nursing staff were superb in caring for my Uncle, with empathy, on a day to day basis. He was treated with dignity and was nursed to ensure he suffered
as little pain and discomfort as possible. The Manager and supervisors invariably made the time to discuss my Uncle's medical condition and general welfare with me. I would certainly recommend Beaumont Manor to anyone considering using their services.

The home is built around a central atrium which created a real sense of community for my sister and for us as her visitors. We all felt cared for and supported during my sister's demise. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to make her comfortable or make her husband and I at ease. I honestly
don't believe there could have been anywhere better for her to spend her last days.

The nursing and care staff all went out of their way to care for our mother (who was terminally ill) and us family members.
They involved us in decisions about mum's care and supported us to care for her.
The home was welcoming at all times and responded to our concerns and questions.
Only once did
they take longer than expected to respond to us and our mum calling for help.
The admission procedure seemed to be prolonged which caused some distress and confusion about mum's needs, both dietary and regarding her bed.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.427)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.427) out of 10 for Beaumont Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 17 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.551 for Beaumont Manor is calculated as follows: ( (134 Excellents x 5) + (38 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (9 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 185 Ratings = 4.551
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.876 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beaumont Manor is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 82 registered maximum number of service users is 16.4. 16 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.4 = 0.976
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
