The manager runs a very well effective care home. All the staff are very supportive and I would highly recommend Parklands to anyone needing extra care
My only criticism is the shower room dont work very well. A shower caddy to hold shampoo and gel would be helpful.

Parklands has proved to be a haven. Mum has dementia and has tried a number of residential respite settings but never settled. Many had the feel and appearance of a hospital ward which mum found especially hard. She describes Parklands as an hotel which, in fairness, reflects the warm and inviting environment.
Parklands seems to manage to balance their responsibilities to protect and keep residents safe with the ability for mum to investigate new areas and activities which has increased her mobility by comparison to her home environment. The staff (led by experienced managers) are warm and friendly and, more importantly, competent in administering a very demanding and complex schedule of medications. We now have the confidence that mum has the care she requires and deserves. With a chiropodist and hairdresser available our hectic home schedule has been eased and we can now plan (with confidence) for the day when she needs full residential care at Parklands knowing she'll get the best.

My mum was one of the first residents when the home opened, she's enjoying living there and the staff take get care of her. We are satisfied that when we go on vacation my mum has the care she needs and all the support.

Cannot praise this home enough. It is very well managed and staff are very caring and empathetic.
Food is excellent and caters for all needs.
Rooms are spacious and kept very clean.
Laundry is very good with a daily service.
Residents are treated with great respect.

Dad has been at Parklands for 5 yrs now. What we love about his care is that two members of staff, in particular, have been there with him since the beginning, and their love and care have been amazing. We so value their oversight to Dads' wellbeing and their genuine interest in our family and ensuring
he has the best care possible. Over the years the Haven staff have been so great for Dad, and with relatively little turnover, his care givers have been consistent which has made a huge difference. Its so important for us that the team we interact with have his history and wellbeing in mind as we continue to develop and evolve his care plan. We so appreciate the staff, with their dedication to the Haven residents, and our ability to feel less guilt about the situation we find ourselves in. No family wants to send their loved one to a care home, but the Haven team have continued to make the decision the right one for Dad and allowed us to feel confident he is in the best place for him. My Mum, and Father prior too, have lived at Beverley Parklands for several years now and overall we have been delighted with the care provided to both. Mum is now in The Haven, and it was a very difficult decision to move her to this floor, but we were fully supported by the staff and given plenty
of time to make an informed decision. Mum is very happy in her own world in The Haven and the staff like and support her very well. There have been some 'human' errors over the last couple of years, but these have all been discussed and sorted out to a satisfactory level. It is a huge relief to know that Mum is very well looked after and safe in her own environment. She very much enjoyed the Choir when I last visited and I know that she is encouraged to join in other activities. The staff are lovely, very open and honest and keep us updated with any issues which arise. They do work very closely with families and will help in any way they can.

Look up staff reviews for this home. Dad was neglected here in 2024 left in soiled bedding, clothing, unwashed and smelt as did his room. After complaining life here got worse. It's happened again Mar'25 and for 5days excrement was left on his bathroom floor. I am trying to move dad to a more suitable
home but the management won't support us, despite them writing a letter that dad cud live independently just a few months ago. Dad complains about the food, his laundry not being done and never being taken out. Other residents have complained to me about the food here too. It's grossly understaffed. Dad is practically left in his room 24/7. Also have been threatened by email with his eviction if I complain again. dad and I want him moved to a home in SE England but the home will not support us. Avoid this home and do research online. It's gone downhill and owners just care about profit not people. I even begged them to move dad to one of their other homes but the owner refused.

From the time my sister was assessed whilst in hospital, my realisation that it was thorough and professionally undertaken was a relief.
After two months in hospital, she was treated with respect, care and given the time to answer and ask questions with family support included in the discussion.
When
she arrived in the care home, she already had a plan of care and the room was set up to her current needs.
The home itself is lovely with friendly, hardworking and thoughtful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Within the first week, she has seen a chiropodist, had her hair done and is enjoying the varied menu.
As she has recently become a widow, she has already been made aware that bereavement counselling is available should she feel the need.
As relatives, we are already feeling she will happily settle in longer term.
Thank you for giving her such a good start.

My mum-in-law was resident for a few weeks only but she was looked after superbly. All the staff were most attentive and helpful and friendly. Every problem raised was always acted upon and overcome.

My 94 year old mother needed 2 weeks respite care whilst I was unable to look after her. Beverley Parklands was able to take her. From the minute we arrived, the staff were wonderful. The accommodation was excellent, both her room and the communal areas. The outside space was lovely too. My mum said
that the food was very good, and nothing was too much trouble. She needs a short respite stay again soon and I'm delighted that Beverley Parklands is able to accommodate her again.

I found the staff to be excellent and attentive. I felt listened to when discussing respite for my husband who has Parkinson's and dementia. My relative was a reluctant resident. She has had a fascinating life travelling and working abroad and until recently could no longer live at home. Fiercely independent, this was not going to be an easy transition. What struck me straight away is how the staff treated her; interested in her as a person,
her likes and dislikes, good listeners and was willing to give her time, which makes anyone feel important and valued. Staff have been very attentive when any illness has occurred and acted quickly when they needed to. My relative has her things around her, the handyman has put things on walls, and visitors are encouraged with cups of tea and cake. This was never going to replace a much-loved home but it is as close as it could be. My thanks to all staff who help make this a secure and happy place.

I am a friend (and attorney) of a permanent resident at Beverley Parklands. Following the death of her husband, my friend decided she wanted to move somewhere she would feel more secure and where there would be help with housekeeping chores. We looked at 4 different care homes in the area and found
Beverley Parklands offered exactly the right level of support for her at that time - secure, independent living without the worry and hassle of managing your own property.
It was a very fortunate decision as she began to develop dementia but instead of having to re-locate, she was able to move to another floor where there was more help and support available to her.
She is very settled and happy at Beverley Parklands and the staff work hard to provide a safe and comfortable home for the residents. It isn't without its glitches, mainly I believe due to staff shortages, but they work hard to minimise any disruption to residents and are quick to respond to suggestions or concerns.

I was lucky enough to secure a room at Parklands for my elderly step mum, who was suffering from Parkinson's and no longer able to live at home. We were told that her room was her home and that we were able to bring small pieces of furniture, pictures, ornaments and photos. It made the move so much
easier for my step-mum but also for family and friends.
Every member of staff treated her with care and compassion. As one staff member said, "They are like family to us, we grow so fond of them all". We couldn't fault it.
It's obviously a beautiful home, like a 5-star hotel, but it's the staff that really make it.
We are very lucky to have found it.

I used Beverley Parklands Care Home for respite care following a spinal operation. This was my first ever involvement with carers and care homes and I could not have been more satisfied. I had an excellent room (suite). Very good food and the overall care exceeded my expectations. The staff at Parklands
are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble.

My mother, who is now 97, has been living at Beverley Parklands on a permanent basis since my dad died over two years ago. She and Dad had also lived there together, for a period after Dad broke a hip. Although Mum is no longer as physically active as she once was, she still retains her full mental
faculties and would, as she always used to, complain if standards were below her expectations. Since arriving at Parklands her only real main gripe has been that some of the other residents are somewhat hard of hearing and they can't hear what she's talking to them about!
From my own observations, the relationship between staff and residents is excellent. The rooms are light and airy and are always spotlessly clean as are the rest of the premises. If needed, help is only a call away, whether you're a resident or a relative. I have always been able to speak to someone if I've had any minor concerns (there have been no major ones).
I have no hesitation in recommending Parklands to all who enquire.

Job Title: Home Manager

I have worked in the healthcare sector for 20 years, six of those in management roles. Along the way, I’ve achieved my Level 3 in Health and Social Care, my Care Practitioner Award, and a diploma in accounting. I’m currently completing my Level 5 Leader in Adult Care qualification. Before becoming Home Manager, I worked as a Care Practitioner and Deputy Manager, experiences that gave me a strong foundation for the role I hold today.


I joined Care UK through a transfer from another home, and after researching the organisation, I was excited to continue my career here. Care UK’s focus on high standards of care for residents and colleagues matches my own values. To do this role well, I believe you must be approachable, dependable, empathetic, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.


The highlight of my day is always time spent with residents, listening to their life stories and favourite memories. Supporting them to achieve their goals is especially rewarding. I’m proud to lead the team here at Beverley Parklands, where we work together to create a true sense of family and belonging.


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young daughter and reading.
