Bletchingley & Wellington nursing home opened in July 2017 and is a purpose-built nursing home focusing on specialist nursing care for residents with dementia.

The home provides a safe and secure environment, especially for residents who may have challenging behaviour or who may be difficult to place in most residential or nursing home settings.

There are 56 bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities with a wet room shower and a call bell system to help residents retain as much independence as possible.

Staff have been carefully selected for their friendliness, experience and professionalism.

Unfortunately, I am not able to visit as often as I would like but my brother seems so much more relaxed and happy in his new environment due mainly to the lovely staff. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. On one occasion there was music and a m\le singer and it was obvious that the patients (and
visitors) were thoroughly enjoying it with the tapping and mouthing the words. One lady, helped by a member of staff, danced the whole time, she looked so happy. You seem to have found the answer in caring for those that need that extra bit of care. Well done and thank you.

We have visited quite a few times and on each occasion we have found all of the staff to be so welcoming. There seems to be sufficient staff numbers for them to provide the care and attention that the residents need. It is nice to see that entertainment is provided which the residents seem to enjoy
a great deal and provides stimulation to their brains and exercise to those who decide to dance a little.

Mum spent six weeks at Wellington House for reablement after a fall and received excellent care and support throughout her stay. The staff are a truly wonderful team, they work incredibly hard but always manage to be cheerful and kind. Mum was encouraged to join in the daily exercises as far as she
was able to and she was seen regularly by an occupational therapist. Her stay at Wellington House has enabled her to return home with confidence and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others in a similar situation.

My mother-in-law was a resident at Bletchingley & Wellington for about eighteen months during which time she was well looked after and treated with care and respect. The staff are friendly and attentive to both residents and their families, taking the time to learn the names of regular visitors.

Fabulous! The care my mother received was exemplary at Wellington, everyone was so friendly and always helpful with my mother's needs and went beyond and above. We even received help with form filling which is a minefield, to say the least, and made the process more comfortable. My mum was apprehensive
when she arrived but quickly made friends with some of the residents and although she is now in hospital she still keeps in touch with the residents, she loved the activities and visits from outside petting animals and entertainment nights she looked forward to and raved about afterwards. We were always greeted with a smile and a welcome as if we were their own family, I would have no hesitation in recommending Wellington it deserves more than a 5-star review, thank you.

Our dad was initially transferred from hospital to Wellington House for rehab but it quickly became apparent that his needs were too great and he would not be able to return home. We were so impressed with the care he received at Wellington and were delighted when he was offered a room in Bletchingley
where he stayed for another 15 months. The care he received was first class; he was always treated with respect and dignity and all the staff gave him (and us) the best care and support we could have wished for. We have no hesitation in recommending Wellington House and Bletchingley.

My dad was at Bletchingley & Wellington for over a year and a half and I cannot fault anything the wonderful staff did. They were always kind and polite and treated Dad with dignity, respect and love until the very end. Their communication with me was also excellent throughout and I am forever in their

My mother was in Bletchingley & Wellington for nearly 4 months and the care from all of the care staff was first-class. Everyone was caring and compassionate, and cared for Mum with kindness and dignity, there was a lovely activities coordinator who engaged everyone in movement activities and lots of
crafts. The care staff were friendly and always available if needed by mum to help with her daily needs.
As a family we were included and listened to and the Social Worker for this care home was outstanding! Thank you, you are all amazing!

From the time that my wife first moved to Bletchingley & Wellington, the staff were superb in every way. They quickly grasped what help she needed and the team always worked closely together to ensure the best possible care is given to all their patients. The staff are rightly proud of their “team“
approach and understanding of patient needs. The Wellington is absolutely spotless and no stone is unturned to ensure cleanliness means everywhere and every day. I am extremely pleased that my wife moved into the Wellington but I’m a little sad that I don’t see those happy and diligent staff and patients regularly! God bless them all.

Following a traumatic 14 weeks in hospital and the re-hab unit, my dad was delighted to be accepted at Bletchingley, following a friendly and reassuring chat with the manager who ensured a swift move to a bright, spacious and extremely clean room. Dad settled in quickly and during the 7 months he was
in residence he was always treated courteously by all the staff, from the cleaners through to the senior nurses, with the utmost care and kindness. Nothing was too much trouble and any health issues were addressed quickly and efficiently ensuring that Dad was comfortable and free of pain. Although Dad chose not to join in at meals, these were bought to him and he did join in the entertainment, both in the summer and at Christmas, which he thoroughly enjoyed. As visitors, I and the family were always greeted with a smile and an offer of a hot drink which was never too much trouble. In summary, the wonderful staff at Bletchingley made my dad’s final days both comfortable and enjoyable.

I was happy there, everyone looked after me very well. Friendly staff. The day room, entertainment, and residents all were good. I spent my time doing activities and walking exercises. Loved this home very much, visitors are welcome always.

If I could give 6 stars I would! Everything about this care home exceeded my expectations. The manager and all the staff treated my relative with such kindness, compassion and dignity. Nothing was ever too much trouble and all special needs were catered for completely. I would not hesitate to recommend

I came to Bletchingley & Wellington Care Home following a short spell in hospital, I was there so that I could build up my confidence and strength prior to going home. I was there for eight weeks in total. I found all the staff to be very kind and courteous. they were very good at encouraging me to
do the morning exercises and to do the exercises that had been set as a goal by the occupational therapist. I enjoyed the activities that were set by the activities co-ordinator. I also enjoyed doing crafts and helping to make the decorations for the summer party. While there, I enjoyed the variety of meals that were provided and if there was something that I didn't like then something else was provided for me. While staying at Wellington, when I had visitors they were always offered a drink. I enjoyed making a pair of penguins, one of which is in the residents' lounge. I was always encouraged to do things for myself. I am now back home and settling in well. I now have in place the aids that were suggested by the occupational therapist.

The staff and service at Bletchingley and Wellington was absolutely first class and nothing was too much trouble. My sister received excellent health care for the two years that she was a resident. We also thought that the fees were quite reasonable in comparison to other nursing homes.

My 76-year-old mum stayed at Wellington House for just over 5 weeks for a period of rehabilitation after a short visit to hospital. This was to gain strength and confidence before returning to her own home.
All the staff were warm and welcoming. the home administrator was kind and helpful with any
questions I had. The care team were brilliant and treated Mum with respect and dignity. They also met her dietary requirements well (gluten-free). Mum did say that she felt there could have been more fresh veg, salad and fruit.
I’m very thankful for the time that Mum had. Particularly thankful to the occupational therapist who gave Mum so much time, both in the nursing home and at Mum's own home, making sure that on return it meet her needs. She was brilliant and efficient at putting in place what Mum needed. Mum gained confidence again, and is now settling back in at home.

Staff were super and the culture is caring and supportive.
Management and administration excellent.
Without the support, during a time of great difficulty for me, I'm not sure how I would have coped.

Job Title: Administrator Joined: 2017

I have worked at Bletchingley since December 2017. I am the first point of contact for all visitors to the home. Every day I liaise with in-house nursing, care and support staff as well as outside professionals which I really enjoy as well as talking to the residents whenever possible. I take pride in keeping the office side of Bletchingley in good order and am proud to be part of a warm and welcoming residential home.
