My brother spent the last 5 months of his life in the care of Bramshott Grange, he saw it as his home and was treated as one of their family. During this period he received outstanding rehabilitation treatment from the Hobbs team together with exceptional personal care from every member of Bramshott
Grange Care Team.
His well being and dignity was maintained throughout a very difficult time for the family. My thanks to everyone.

My husband came to Bramshott initially for therapy, however sadly, this became end of life care. Throughout his time here, which started just after lockdown, my husband was treated with the utmost care and attention and with gentleness and dignity at all times. Hobbs Rehab Services provided therapy.
Every
single member of the team is fantastic, his room always spotless, he liked the food. Towards the end of his life, he was always clean, dressed and kept comfortable. We were kept informed on his health, the team looked after the family as well.
I am so grateful that he had come to Bramshott, he called it 'home'.
He was fond of his team, he had trust and respect for them all, which for a man that did not give his trust easy this is amazing, it speaks volumes about each and every person that works here and at Hobbs.
All handled our calls with dignity and empathy. The people here make Bramshott and Hobbs what it is, they are the core of this wonderful home. Above and beyond expected. Thank you, team.

Bramshott Grange were very accommodating when it came to relocating our 95-year-old Dad in mid-March. All members of staff we encountered were welcoming and friendly. Sadly, Dad’s stay was so short as his health declined rapidly so wasn’t able to make use of or enjoy any of the extra-curricular activities
provided due to lockdown occurring just a few days after he moved in. However, the staff managed well under extremely trying circumstances for them. We appreciated their help in ensuring we were regularly updated as to Dad’s health and circumstances. The rooms and facilities were clean and tidy, and the garden is well laid out with a small greenhouse and raised veg/flower troughs. One small gripe Dad had was the fact that his meal order would sometimes be incorrect. When this did happen, it was always corrected immediately and without any hesitation. We never worked out where the error occurred. I would definitely recommend Bramshott: the staff are exceptional and the setting is calming.
Reply from Maggie Griffith, Family Liaison Manager at Bramshott Grange Care HomeThank you for your kind review and also the feedback regarding meals. This observation is greatly appreciated, as we can ensure the necessary tweaks are made at meal times. Thank you for sharing both your father's and your experiences of Bramshott Grange.

Bramshott Grange provided our late father with an exemplary level of care and kindness. The home itself is delightful, modern, clean and hygienic surrounded by lovely gardens. All the staff, management, nurses, carers, catering staff and cleaners are extraordinary people, committed to providing a quality
service to residents and their families. Dad moved in just before the COVID-19 lockdown and was looking forward to a comfortable residency for his latter years. Sadly his health failed sooner than expected (not COVID-19 related) but throughout his stay he was cared for with unbelievable compassion which he was truly amazed by. Considering the home found themselves having to deal with the extra burden of lockdown as well as the anxieties surrounding their own health due to the pandemic, I am eternally grateful to them for all they did for Dad. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Bramshott Grange to anyone considering a residency for themselves or their loved ones.

My father was with Bramshott Grange for both respite and palliative care. Due to his condition, he was unable to access activities but these appeared to be varied and plentiful. The staff were consistently good and went above and beyond 'a job' in many cases. As a family we were made to feel welcomed
and cared for - it didn't just end with the resident's needs. The environment is purposeful, homely and calming. The food was good and varied. Most of all it is the staff that stand out. Money well spent.

My father has been a resident of Bramshott Grange for almost 18 months during which time he has received consistently good care. There always seem to be plenty of varied activities, the atmosphere is relaxed and there is a good level of facilities for residents and their visitors. I have visited unannounced
at all times of the day and evening (weekends and weekdays) and never see any significant changes in standards. The staff are friendly and I have received no feedback from my father suggesting that the good care standards I see differ when I am not present. Like many who will read this review, I looked at numerous care homes before choosing Bramshott Grange and after 18 months experience, I am sure that I made the right decision.

My Mother has been a resident at Bramshott Grange for over a year now. It was a difficult decision to make, but the staff at the home have supported my father and my family. They have ensured that my mother is well cared for; they have responded to any questions that we have had and have kept in constant
communication with me. A difficult decision was made as easy as possible.

Due to advancing Dementia, my dad spent the last 6 months of his life at Bramshott Grange, he thought of the place as home almost from day one.
This was because, without exception, the staff made him and us, as a family, feel so welcome.
When he first arrived, someone said that they thought of it
as a 5-star hotel with care, that is a good description and up to a point.
Where it differs from a hotel is that the staff treated my dad as if he was a member of their own family and he thrived in the warm and homely environment they create.
Particularly in his last few days, he was treated with such dignity, respect and at such a difficult time for us, it was a real comfort to know how well he was being cared for. Everyone was also, extremely considerate to us as his family and did everything they could to make the situation as bearable as possible.
All the staff should be very proud of themselves for the personal care that they offer at Bramshott.

I stayed at Bramshott Grange care home for four weeks while builders were building me a wet room at home. I got a lovely warm welcome from the staff. I also included physio in my package. This was very professional and I feel I improved a lot in my self-confidence and strength. The activities were fun
and varied. Thank you all very much.

Lovely friendly staff throughout - happy faces and nothing was too much trouble.
The food was not always good and they ran out of decaffeinated coffee for instance.
I was so pleased to be looked after there and would return if any accident befell me!

However, I was concerned to learn of your experience regarding food and in particular your favoured product not always being available. My father, aged 92, came to Bramshott Grange for a shortish stay to receive Neurological Rehabilitation from the Hobbs Staff.
Bramshott Grange staff, facilities and setting are excellent.
The Hobbs Rehabilitation team were superb, treating my father with care, respect and tact. They brought him to
a good point where he was able to leave and return to a care home nearer to where we live. We cannot express how highly we regard them.
We would highly recommend a stay here.

The whole experience started with the assessment which was so comforting, professional and efficient. Admission was efficient and very well organised. Almost every member of management and staff have been superb. When admitted we did not hold high hopes for an improvement in Dad's wellbeing. The transformation
has been remarkable and we took him home yesterday. The car staff have been exceptional, caring, extremely proficient and well organised. One key has been the support to our family - superb! Well done Bramshott Grange - long may you all prosper and help the aged.

My 90-year-old father stayed at Bramshott Grange for 7 weeks in December 2018 and January 2019 after spending 5 months in different hospitals with acute illness and long term health problems.
The care and comfort given to him at Bramshott Grange was exemplary. Every single member of staff was genuinely
caring, helpful and friendly and all the facilities outstanding. I would have no hesitation in dad staying here again, should it be appropriate for his circumstances again.
Reply from Maggie Griffith, Family Liaison Manager at Bramshott Grange Care HomeWhat a lovely review to receive and I am so happy that the Team were able to support your father and he was able to return home. I was resident for four weeks whilst receiving physiotherapy treatment so, although not a 'typical' client, I experienced the facilities on offer to all the residents in this relatively new home.
The staff were exceptional and, as I viewed them from a different perspective to most, I saw them deal
with some pretty difficult situations without any issue.
The place was spotless and food excellent and the fact that it was effectively an open house (to friends, relatives and dogs!) very much welcomed.
My only criticism would be that on some occasions the staff appeared stretched but generally, I saw that was down to some residents' overuse of their alarm calls!

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.799)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.799) out of 10 for Bramshott Grange Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.899 for Bramshott Grange Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (172 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 189 Ratings = 4.899
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bramshott Grange Care Home is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 67 registered maximum number of service users is 13.4, which has been reached with 16 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
