When I have come to visit everyone seems to be so lovely and friendly, the atmosphere is great, everyone having a good giggle with residents and its nice to see smiles on the resident's faces. I will be back soon to visit when lockdown is over as the home is so welcoming.

My aunt has stayed in multiple homes in the Aylesbury Vale for respite/permanent care and this was one of our families and her favourites.
The care staff were exceptionally caring, really felt that they wanted to get to know her and ultimately treated my aunt like she was a family member of their own. She still talks about the staff at Byron to us now! The manager really was outstanding, appearing to have time for everyone, residents, staff and relatives. Overall the home seems to benefit from it's smaller size than these modern 60+ home builds, giving it a more welcome and intimate feel, something the home seems to have perfected.

If it was my cousins and my choice and not hers, she would still be there!

Unusual circumstances meant Mum was transferred rapidly. The staff, management, and all have been so kind, caring, and understanding. My Mum was very happy and said all the carers were lovely. Thank you so much for your care.

My Stepmother has been at Byron House for the past 18 months. The treatment and care she has received have been amazing. The facilities and activities encouraging the patients have kept everyone totally occupied and involved including relatives. The staff are so caring and provide every possible need the patients need and wish for. The manager is a kind and lovely person.

My mother has been a resident at Byron House care home since July 2019. She has late-stage Alzheimer's and is bed-bound.
Initially, I had some reservations about transferring my mother from her own home to a care home. However, I have been very impressed with the level of care and support which she has been receiving in this care home and I am glad that my mother is now being well cared for at Byron House. I believe that this is mainly due to the excellent management and nursing staff, who are always available to help and are willing to listen with care and compassion about any concerns.

I would strongly recommend Byron House as an excellent care home.

I visit my friend who has cancer and every time I go all the staff from manager, nurses, HCA's - everyone is so helpful and caring. Most of the residents have Alzheimer's and some can be very difficult at times. But I have only seen compassion and patience from the staff. Truly impressed.

My father came to the home after 8 traumatic weeks in hospital. It was a haven of peace and calm for him and all our family. He was only here for 2 weeks but it really made all the difference. Thank you all so much.

My wife was a resident at Byron House until September 2016 when she sadly passed away.
I keep in contact and visit Byron House from time to time.
This, in my opinion, is still an excellent home.
Nowhere is perfect but myself and our family were very pleased with my wife's care there.
She was one of the first 2 residents.

The only problem, like many homes, is retaining the best staff!

The care is second to none. The nurses, manager and care team are very skilled and dedicated to the residents. The home is very clean throughout. Visitors are made to feel very welcome, and kept up to speed with how their loved ones are. The decor is very good and the activities are always there for the residents to get involved in. All in all, an excellent choice for your loved one.

My wife has been a resident at Byron House for four months now. We were impressed by the cleanliness and helpful staff when first viewing the home. She has now settled in and is well looked after. Her appetite is poor but the staff are patient and always looking for ways to tempt her. She has had a few falls but strategies are in place to minimise these. At times the laundry is slow to return clothes to her room and an extra person employed on this duty would aid matters greatly.

My wife and I chose this particular nursing home because it was a small one and felt it would better serve my mother's needs. From the moment we walked in to view the home it radiated a very welcoming and homely atmosphere. We felt this was down to the small size of the home and the friendliness and hospitality of all the staff. They certainly appear to work as a team.

My mother was only in the nursing home for an extremely short period of time during which she was treated with the utmost dignity and care. I must also comment on the understanding and kindness shown to us by all staff members we came into contact with.

My father was in Byron House for the last 6 weeks of his life and as a family we were so impressed with the care and dignity that he received from what is an exceptional team. My father settled in so quickly to what is a very homely environment and he was full of praise for the staff who helped him. The catering was of a very good standard with different choices every day. From the management, nurses, catering, care and maintenance. The owners should be proud of the team at Byron House.

The home is welcoming, bright and airy. All newly decorated with attractive and purposeful displays on the walls. Furniture new and clean and environment pleasant without any odours. The staff are without a doubt dedicated, caring and giving, above a good standard. They made a big difference socially to my father, as he was bedbound and would rely on company visiting his room. The standard of nursing care at the home made my fathers last 18 months as comfortable and happy as possible. The family would like to Thank you all!

We viewed this home at the beginning of the year along with others, but this one stood out. In the meantime, my dad went into respite where he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was eventually moved to Byron House, we were over the moon.

The home is friendly with a homely environment, efficient staff, whom are professional, warm and caring, even down to the chef who laid on the floor when my dad fell, keeping him calm until the ambulance arrived. He is one wonderful person.

Alzheimer's is a very cruel disease, robbing the sufferer of pride dignity and all that made them special. Byron House delivered outstanding care with grace, respect and humour that helped us keep Ma and that made her the unique person she was for as long as possible.

Her passing was made a little easier to bear knowing how well she was looked after and the kindness she and all the members of her family were met with. We would all like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Byron House and would offer our recommendation.
