The accommodation was homely and the staff very caring and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very palatable.
The fact that the gardens were in the roof was attractive especially when the weather was fine, and the fact that the shops were so accessible was a bonus for long stays
who were still active.
Entertainment was well managed and readily available. I enjoyed my stay enormously.

My mother required respite care following a long period in hospital. We have been delighted by the level of care and crucially kindness from all the team. The rooms are lovely and the standard of catering exceptional. Whilst any private care is expensive, I found the cost appropriate and did not get
the feeling of a money grabbing approach which the sector can be known for. Using the family dining was great, they encourage family to be involved and charge at a modest rate for this. The location close to the town centre is also good, to get practical items but also take your family member for a walk (or wheelchair) around the shops.

The Pembroke House team have been professional and very caring in dealing with mum. They helped us both in what was a difficult time, getting mum from the hospital into the home and liaised with the ward to move things along more smoothly, after visiting mum at Frimley Park. Everyone there has worked
very hard to make Mum welcome and she has now settled well.

The home itself is wonderful with lots of great facilities, like a cinema room, hair dresser and activity team.

The restaurant and general catering are particularly good. If mum is not feeling like eating, they offer her pretty much anything she wants to get her eating. She is also visiting the restaurant regularly where again the staff are excellent and clearly caring.

At 92 this is the first time Mum has not lived independently and I've been trying to get her to do this for some years. I feared she'd hate it, but thanks to the Pembroke team it's been a great success and mum will now enjoy her final years in this wonderful home.

All of the staff at Pembroke House have been amazing in helping the whole family feel welcome and in giving my husband the best care possible.
We all feel my husband is safe, valued and respected and it has given us peace of mind and support at a time when we are coming to terms with my husband's changing
health needs.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I have visited my brother three times. The first time he was asleep initially when I went in, so I was given a tour of Pembroke House. I was impressed by the quality of the facilities and by the knowledgeable and caring staff. My second visit confirmed this view. Today when I saw my brother he recognised
us and said- "You don't want to end up in a home but if you do this is the place to be. The staff are lovely." It was very heartwarming to hear this after some very challenging times for him and his family.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.816) out of 10 for Camberley Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 34 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.816 for Camberley Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is calculated as follows: ( (338 Excellents x 5) + (47 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 397 Ratings = 4.816
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Camberley Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is based on 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 registered maximum number of service users is 20, which has been reached with 33 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
