Chetwynd House Care Home is a family-run, award-winning care home providing luxury quality care in Chilwell.

We delegated Mum's care to Chetwynd House Care Home over a year ago in the middle of the pandemic and we have not been disappointed. The team have supported all of us and Mum has been very well cared for. When we visit we are always welcomed by all of the team. We are able to make drinks for ourselves
and our family and we help ourselves to a biscuit or two that are always in good supply. These are simple things but it means a lot to us to be able to feel at home with Mum. Dad is welcomed to stay and share a meal with Mum in the evening and that means a lot to him too. Nothing is too much trouble and the team work hard to resolve any questions we raise. The team deal with any healthcare issues quickly and professionally and are persistent with follow-up appointments as and when needed. Both managers during Mum's time in the home have been so approachable and supportive to us and we feel like friends with all of the team when we visit.

I am so happy that I chose Chetwynd House Care Home for my mum who came into care last June. The homely ambience and dedication of the team at all levels are second to none and the care, love, patience and respect that the staff and management have shown Mum is faultless. Also, the staff's attention
to detail, as it’s the smallest things that can mean so much to residents and their families.
The food, cleanliness and dedication of all the staff is five-star plus.
The activities that the ladies in pink organise to stimulate and engage at all levels make Chetwynd House the best there is.

My father has settled in well to his new surroundings and is looked after extremely well by all of the staff here at Chetwynd House Care Home. They are always friendly and helpful, I have built up a good rapport with the admin/reception ladies and they have reassured me, on more than one occasion, when
I have asked them specific questions regarding my father's welfare. Nothing is too much trouble and they show me the activities he joins in with and the events he attends. They regularly give me updates on how he is, his health visits and needs and they are always there for me to chat to if I have any concerns as he can sometimes be quite difficult to deal with. The home itself is beautiful; lovely rooms and garden area. The facilities are great i.e. the pub, shop and cinema and there is always something going on to entertain the residents. I am comforted that my father is being cared for above and beyond by the lovely staff at Chetwynd.

Both parents settled immediately into the Chetwynd loving family.
Beautiful rooms and food. The activities are stimulating and fun, Mum calls all the staff her best friends!
Dad's end of life care was excellent, full of love, care and dignity from the staff. The continued love and support to Mum at
this difficult time is amazing.
I cannot thank the fantastic staff enough for the love and care given to Mum and Dad and also to us, their children.

Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Residents are well cared for and entertained. I have some of my own furniture here along with photo albums and art materials. I have my own plants on the patio to add colour and interest.

I am so happy I chose Chetwynd House a year ago. Dad is so happy and well looked after. What delights me the most, is that his mental facilities do not seem to have deteriorated at all during lockdown, partly due to all the situation and the provision of outdoor visits.

We are very pleased that our aunt was placed here. She is well looked after and the staff are all so helpful and friendly. The manager is always available and ready to arrange anything.
During the COVID crisis we have been kept well informed and they have done a brilliant job of keeping the residents
safe and well. We are now enjoying regular visits outside with Aunty.

The ambience of Chetwynd House is excellent. The staff and management are very kind and caring. Facilities are all very clean. My room is spacious, the bathroom is excellent for my needs. My patio area is lovely. You have a choice of food which is very nice.

My dad became unable to look after himself after a fall and having dementia. The choice of care home has been the most successful thing that we did as a family to keep him safe. He absolutely loves where he is and I couldn't be prouder of Chetwynd for the facilities, the love and care from the staff

My dear friend has lived at Chetwynd House for nearly a year now and has settled in so very well. It’s far the best care home that I’ve ever seen. The staff from laundry to manager are caring and professional, activities and themed days are in abundance. The residents are living their lives to the fullest.

After being in a home where all the other residents were dementia cases it was good being here where all the residents on one floor I could talk to and establish a friendly relationship. Plenty of activities (allowing for coronavirus), good outdoor area for walking and moving with others.

My mother moved into Chetwynd House recently and what can I say she has never been happier, the quality of care is exemplary, the whole of the staff team are ALL fantastic, particularly the Home Manager, office administrator, care coordinator and especially one certain carer who is extremely professional
and compassionate in all that she does. They have ALL been more than helpful. The food is of a very high-end restaurant quality. My Mother is encouraged to get involved in all the activity's on offer and I must say her social life is better than mine. I would recommend Chetwynd House to anyone who is looking for high-end care.

My daughter and myself had already visited Chetwynd House and decided this was the place for my husband's first respite care. He has dementia and went from hospital to Chetwynd House for nine days. In the home, there was an air of calm and everyone working there was very friendly and caring. The residents
were relaxed and happy. I also saw them engaged in different activities on my visits.


I was impressed by the monitoring day and night. Staff knew where everyone was and if someone was in their room at meal times they made sure they returned to the lounge/diner for food and drinks.


I believe that it is about the caring for the person first and the quality of the staff employed of which Chetwynd House has an abundance of both. This is a beautiful home and a role model for other care homes to follow.
My daughter and myself would definitely want my husband to return, should the need arise. It made the whole experience so much easier knowing that he was content and safe. Keep up the good work.
