On 5th July Kiwi House held 'Kiwi Fest', a day festival of music and entertainment for the residents, and their family and friends. What a fantastic event. The music and entertainment were excellent and there was glitter stands, food stalls as well as singing and dancing. The garden was decorated with
streamers and balloons and the patio turned into a stage. It was fantastic because Kiwi provided us with such a happy relaxed environment to share fun times with our loved ones. I am sure an amazing amount of effort has gone into preparing and delivering the day, top marks! As well as this event, over the past 2 months Mum has had trips out to a riding school for afternoon tea and Newstead Abbey for a picnic, again lovely activities she has really enjoyed. All the staff we deal with are so helpful, kind and caring. I would recommend Kiwi House to others who may be looking for a care home that both cares and is a home.

My mom has been at Bowood Court for over a year now. The care that she has received has been exceptional. Each member of staff that I have encountered is very commited to providing the very best for residents.
It's very difficult to put a loved one into care but from the very start of my moms experience
at Bowood, the staff have all been so reassuring even on the most difficult days, the staff are kind + conscientious. I always leave feeling reassured that mom is getting the best care

Having made my first review in September 2023 as my mum began her stay at The Old Vicarage, I'm sadly making my final review as mum has now passed away.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their dedication and compassion in mum's final weeks. What I failed to realise that this care and compassion

isn't just for the resident but encompasses the whole family. I'm in total awe of these amazing people and the work they do. This isn't
a job to them but a vocation.

Anyone considering a care home for a loved one should have no reservations in choosing The Old Vicarge.

We are so grateful for the care and affection our mum received from the amazing team at the Old Vicarage. She lived there for the last two years of her life as her Alzheimer's worsened and she needed more and more support. From day one, we saw a high level of professionalism from themanager, and the
rest of the team, but on top of good training, we saw good people who genuinely care for those living there. This care extended to us too, from helping us deal with the worry of having a parent move into a care home to ensuring we were supported (and had tea & biscuits!) as our mum reached the end of her life.

Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. It was truly a privilege to care for your mum and to support your family during her time with us at The Old Vicarage. We're so glad you felt the warmth, compassion, and support from our team - it means everything to us. Your mum will be fondly remembered, and we're grateful to have shared those final years with her and with you.

Really felt I needed to submit a review after visiting a friends relative in the last week.
I have to say I was completely bowled over when entering Moat House. I felt I was in a luxury Hotel, the quality, style and ambience was second to none. It really does have the wow factor. I was greeted by
a professional reception/ Team who booked me in for my visit.
I then went through the corridor to find my friends relative and was able to see some of the rooms en route which were spacious, bright and immaculate.
I was able to wander around the kitchen garden, with tables, sitting areas and is clearly tended and loved.
It was an enjoyable and refreshing visit to be in this lovely place.
Hats off to the team who were friendly and professional.

Having to place my dad into respite care was one of the most difficult decisions I've had to make, especially given how poorly he has been. However, from the very beginning, the team at Moat house have made an incredibly hard situation so much easier to bear.
Every member of staff we've encountered
has been nothing short of wonderful-caring, compassionate, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring my father's needs are fully met. They've taken the time to understand him not just as a patient, but as a person. His medical and personal care have been handled with professionalism and real kindness, which has given us such a relief.
What has truly stood out, though, is the way they've supported him socially as well. They've made sure he stays engaged and connected, and that he never feels isolated or left out. That kind of attention to emotional and social wellbeing is something you can't put a price on.
I'm deeply grateful to everyone at Moat House for the respect, dignity shown to my Father

It means the world to us to hear that our team's compassion, professionalism, and dedication have made a difference during such a challenging time. We're especially pleased to know that he feels supported not only medically but also socially and emotionally - that's exactly the kind of care we strive to provide every day. Moat House are wonderful. They are very caring and helpful. Two staff members stand out in particular. I cannot thank the staff enough for making a difficult, emotional decision to trust care to strangers.
The open air spaces with the garden and aviary make Moat House more like a park than a care home.
I would definitely recommend Moat House if you have to make this difficult decision.

My dad had an ITA at the weekend, the quick-thinking staff phoned for an ambulance and he was taken to hospital. The following day, after he had been discharged, he returned to Harrier House. The staff soon realised that my dad was worse than he was the previous day. They contacted the ambulance, which
went to Harrier House. He was re-assessed, and they discovered an infection had been missed at the hospital. Without the knowledge of my dad, they quickly knew he wasn't right.

Since my father first came to stay for respite, due to the onset of dementia. The care has been excellent. He is now in the home permanently after renal problems, which gave him not very long left in life. However, the dedication of all the staff has been second to none, and he is still with us a year
and a half later. His room is beautiful and always clean. The day room are a joy to be in and the staff provide plenty of daily activities to entertain the residents. I recommend Harrier House to anyone looking for high quality care.
