The staff and facilities are excellent and the activities are amazing. A very well run home with the emphasis for the residents happiness and well being clearly evident. My mum has dementia and I can see a big improvement in her mood, always has a smile on her face.

Mum moved into Chetwynd House in 2024, and settled in right away.
The rooms are lovely with an en-suite, and as care home fees go, Chetwynd is reasonably priced.
The carers are absolutely amazing, treating the residents with dignity and respect, and also providing humour to add a bit of laughter to
the day. Nothing is too much trouble and I can't praise them enough.
Chetwynd also has an amazing activities team who engage the residents in fun games daily and organise various events with live entertainment throughout the year.
The office and reception staff are very open and friendly, working all hours to ensure the best care is in place for the residents and any special care needs are met. Again, nothing is too much trouble.
The staff at Chetwynd do genuinely care about their residents.
Mum is very happy there, and I have peace of mind knowing she is happy and well cared for.
A huge thank you to all the staff at Chetwynd for everything you do to keep mum safe and happy.
Reply from Michelle Chambers, Admissions Manager at Chetwynd HouseThank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review. We are truly delighted to hear that your mum settled into Chetwynd House so quickly and feels happy and at home with us. Knowing that she is comfortable in her room, enjoying the activities, and receiving care with dignity, respect, and even a bit of laughter means the world to our whole team. Your lovely words about our carers, activities team, and office and reception staff will be shared with everyone. They all work so hard to create a warm, supportive, and engaging environment, and it's wonderful to know their dedication is making such a positive difference. Most importantly, we're so pleased that you have peace of mind knowing your mum is safe, well cared for, and happy. That is always our greatest priority.

Had a wonderful afternoon at the Christmas fair in the care home. Great to see the place decked out with decorations and the residents engaging in different activities. It put a massive smile on my face to know how well everyone is looked after here.

My dad had an ITA at the weekend, the quick-thinking staff phoned for an ambulance and he was taken to hospital. The following day, after he had been discharged, he returned to Harrier House. The staff soon realised that my dad was worse than he was the previous day. They contacted the ambulance, which
went to Harrier House. He was re-assessed, and they discovered an infection had been missed at the hospital. Without the knowledge of my dad, they quickly knew he wasn't right.

Since my father first came to stay for respite, due to the onset of dementia. The care has been excellent. He is now in the home permanently after renal problems, which gave him not very long left in life. However, the dedication of all the staff has been second to none, and he is still with us a year
and a half later. His room is beautiful and always clean. The day room are a joy to be in and the staff provide plenty of daily activities to entertain the residents. I recommend Harrier House to anyone looking for high quality care.

The staff have helped settle my mum into Chetwynd from out of area. It could have been very complicated but all staff from first enquiry staff to maintenance staff have been exceptionally helpful and kind including Mum in all activity opportunities and supporting her move, it's been truly lovely. If
there is a request for something it's met with 'I'm sure we can sort that for you' which is refreshing in this age of care home providers. Chetwynd is lucky to have the staff, they've got a great bunch.

My mother has been resident at Harrier House for over 2 years and is now 104 years old.
I very much doubt she would have reached this milestone without the care and support she receives at Harrier.
She think of it as home and the staff do all they can to make her feel at home.

Excellent in every way. The staff do everything they can to make life as good as it can be. I was a temporary resident, but was treated equally as well as the permanent residents. The atmosphere was very welcoming and I was treated with dignity and respect at all times. The food was excellent and plentiful.
The choices and variety were to my taste and I think would be to most peoples satisfaction. Every aspect was though of, leisure, activities, laundry, and medical requirements.

My mother moved to CH from hospital for respite care with a view to permanency. Unfortunately she got an infection just before leaving hospital and only survived 2 days. The staff were wonderful. Very caring and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend this home to anyone considering
a home. My sister and I checked 3 homes before choosing CH and what a brilliant decision that was.

We have been so impressed by the facilities and quality of care on all of our visits. It is so reassuring to see our grandma has so many fellow residents they can chat to. The kindness and genuine care of the staff is evident. We arrived this morning and were included in the resident's New Years brunch
which made our visit feel more comfortable and relaxed. Thank you for everything you do.
