Mum has settled in really well, and seems very happy. The staff are really friendly, and mum's visit to Windsor was a great success. I feel confident in saying that mum is receiving an excellent level of care.
My dad moved into The Old Vicarage in March '25. In January '26 his mobility deteriorated, and I was so worried we would have to move him, but in Feb it was confirmed this would be his forever home. I cannot praise all the staff enough. They are so understanding and caring with their residents, especially the ones with dementia. Eventhough my dad needs to be hoisted, he still gets to go out on their trips - big shoutout to the entertainment team. Families are always kept updated, and treated with the utmost respect.
We are delighted to hear that your dad has found his forever home with us and that our team has been able to support both him and your family throughout his journey. Providing compassionate, person-centred care...
My uncle, Martin has been a resident at The Old Vicarage since Nov'25. He had a tricky start due to being dishcarged from hospital with an infection and needing to be isolated in his room. These challenges were dealt with in the best possible way by the staff and he soon settled in. I really enjoy visiting and have a good relationship with the staff and management. Communication is fantastic and any issues/ queries are dealt with promptly. We as a family are very happy with the care.
Our team always strives to provide the best possible care and support...
Very friendly and reliable staff who do care about their residents. Many activities for residents to participate in and refreshments always available. Overall very happy with the service provided and would recommend this home for other's. End of life care was also dealt with, with respect and residents well being. Many thanks for taking food care of Bill. Regards John.

Attended yet another wonderful Mothers Day afternoon tea. Lots of choice of freshly prepared cakes and sandwiches. Great atmosphere. After my father was in restbite we decided to make Old Vicarage his permanent care, still the same care and dignity hes always received. Hes happy with all members of staff caring and loving towards him.
My mum has veen staying at The Old Vicarage since December 2025. The home is warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, the food is good quality and my mums room is light, bright and airy, any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently and the communication is always forth coming and appropriate. Bronwyn, ellis and kacy are really caring. I am always made to feel welcome and part of The Vicarage family! Our first impression of The Old Vicarage was wow! What a lovely airy place it is. Welcomed by very friendly staff, clean and tidy and happy and relaxed atmosphere. Uncle had been living alone for many yrs we felt that @ 96 years old he needed some help. We couldn't have chosen better for him. He's come out of his shell and he mixes with the other guests, (we call them guests) Its just like a luxury hotel, staff are wonderful, very attentive and efficient on all fronts. Uncle calls The Old Vicarage his home, we are so glad we chose to bring him here and so is he. Thank you for everything, we appreciate all you do.

Mum was happy here and very well cared for. The staff were very attentive and had her best interests at heart when caring for her. They kept me up-to-date with any changes and always sought my opinion before making changes to her care plan. Her room was comfortable and tidy. Medical intervention was requested promptly when required and I was informed at every stage. I want to thank all the staff for their care and couldn't have wished for a better environment for my mum to see out her days.
Your kind words are a true reflection of the dedication and compassion our team puts into their work every day, and we'll be sure to share your message with everyone - it will mean so much to them. We're honoured to have been a part of your mum's journey and to have helped make her final days as peaceful and dignified as possible.
Having made my first review in September 2023 as my mum began her stay at The Old Vicarage, I'm sadly making my final review as mum has now passed away.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their dedication and compassion in mum's final weeks. What I failed to realise that this care and compassion isn't just for the resident but encompasses the whole family. I'm in total awe of these amazing people and the work they do. This isn'ta job to them but a vocation.
Anyone considering a care home for a loved one should have no reservations in choosing The Old Vicarge.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind words during what must be a very difficult time. It was an honour to care for your mum, and we're truly grateful that you felt supported as a family too. Your appreciation means a great deal to our whole team - caring is at the heart of everything we do, and messages like yours remind us why. Your mum will be remembered fondly by us all.
We are so grateful for the care and affection our mum received from the amazing team at the Old Vicarage. She lived there for the last two years of her life as her Alzheimer's worsened and she needed more and more support. From day one, we saw a high level of professionalism from themanager, and the rest of the team, but on top of good training, we saw good people who genuinely care for those living there. This care extended to us too, from helping us deal with the worry of having a parent move into a care home to ensuring we were supported (and had tea & biscuits!) as our mum reached the end of her life.
Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. It was truly a privilege to care for your mum and to support your family during her time with us at The Old Vicarage. We're so glad you felt the warmth, compassion, and support from our team - it means everything to us. Your mum will be fondly remembered, and we're grateful to have shared those final years with her and with you.
A truly superb care home with wonderful staff. The manager and her team are so attentive, caring and professional. The rooms are good and well-cleaned. Dad has dementia and he is well looked after. We are always informed on any status and kept informed of everything. The staff from all departments really do work together as a team, which is reflected in the care that all residents receive. There are a lot of activities and days out for the residents and a lovely garden to be in weather permitting.

My whole experience of the team at the Old Vicarage has been positive from the moment my mother visited them. We recently undertook a periodic review of her care and I was amazed at the detailed records and knowledge they have of every aspect of mums care. The whole team are caring, diligent and professional in all their dealings with the residents. I could not be happier.

An absolutely fantastic care home, with an excellent team of staff who run it. My first impression of The Old Vicarage team was incredibly positive when I visited them to set up respite care for my mother. I had looked at other places that day that had made my heart sink. They were professional, warm and informed. The home itself is lovely - clean, bright, lovely communal areas, and a choice of really nice rooms which meant that I could choose the one I thought was most appropriate for my mother. All of the residents I saw as I was shown around looked well cared for and relaxed. The Old Vicarage has not disappointed me. I cannot thank the team enough for their hard work, diligence and kindness - they are exceptional. This home is well-run in all aspects, from laundry and meals, to medical and care needs that are set up swiftly and delivered effectively. You can feel the care that goes into the residents here, and I would not hesitate to recommend The Old Vicarage team.

Unfortunately, my mum has not been well in the last few weeks, but the care home have kept me updated and informed almost on a daily basis. My mother now receives good doctor/nursing care and is steadily improving.
The staff at The Old Vicarage are all very caring and treat my mother with dignity and respect. My mother feels well looked after and "safe", which is all that can be asked.
The staff have a great sense of humour and always make me welcome every time l visit.
Excellent care home!

Dad spent his last few weeks at The Old Vicarage. The care that both he and we, his family, receives was outstanding. The staff were compassionate, respectful and attentive, and really did go the extra mile. They treated us and the other residents with dignity, and recognised each person as an individual, encouraging their worth. This was true of all staff - from the management to seniors, care workers activity coordinators, house keeping, kitchen staff etc. We cannot recommend The Old Vicarage highly enough.

My Dad was admitted to The Old Vicarage originally for respite, with a view to long-term care, but became unwell and received end-of-life care there. The staff from the manager to the care staff, activities coordinators and housekeeping team provided excellent care during his stay. He was treated with respect and dignity and the whole family were treated with kindness and compassion. The support we were given made it easier to cope with a very sad situation.
