Colchester Road Residential

A very 'homely' place. Brilliant attentive staff. The home is small with only up to ten residents which makes this place ideal for the carers to give the maximum attention & care needed to each individual. Nice & clean. The management are very involved & easy to communicate with at anytime. So glad we found this place.

My husband went to Colchester Road care home around November 2025. He had been in another home and we were far from happy with that. We found a closer home i.e. Colchester Road home and it's the best decision we made to pick this well run friendly home. So thanks to all who work there. My husband is well looked after and has settled in well. Its a pleasure to go and see him knowing he is happy and well looked after.

Smaller residential care which feels like a home, not an institution! As soon as we viewed the home, we knew this was the place that we wanted our mum to live in. Mum is thriving here, it is pleasant, friendly and warm, with caring staff. The bedrooms are light and airy, the lounge inviting to guests and residents alike. Home-made meals where possible. We couldn't be happier with the care Mum is receiving from the lovely staff.

I find the staff very caring and helpful, nothing is too much bother. The staff are friendly towards the residents and their family. I would recommend this care home to anybody. It's nice to see my father settled in such a short time, and this is due to the excellent staff.

My dad is now very happy in his good-sized room and is receiving good quality care, which is the most important thing. All the staff are excellent at their jobs, and I sleep much better now knowing he is in good hands. It always puts a smile on my face when visiting all the staff so friendly and helpful. My Dad has been at Colchester Road for 5 months. He has settled in extremely well and is enjoying his time there. He was very reluctant to leave home but since walking in the door he has consistently told me how lucky he feels to be living there. This is down to the excellent staff and management who have made him feel very welcome and looked after throughout his time there. The small nature of the home suits him. Staff and residents know him well and are familiar to him. Dad is quite active and independent despite his dementia. The home has been able to accommodate this by accompanying him on regular short walks which he very much enjoys. I have every confidence in the ability of the home look after him, manage his health and well-being and support him with enjoyable activities and companionship. He also really enjoys the food. The home are flexible in providing meals and snacks to suit tastes and preferred times of day.
