Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level

Since Dad arrived at Dashwood Manor mid August this year, I really cannot express my gratitude to all the care staff overseeing dads needs. It has been an extremely tough few months but the relief knowing dad is now well cared for and I can do my daily visits back to being his daughter again, is priceless.
Everyone
is very kind and willing to answer any questions we might have and we are always greeted with a smile.
The variety of meals cooked fresh every day are superb along with the complimentary coffee/cakes that are in reception. Dad has never eaten so well!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dashwood Manor and I'm glad dad gets to call this home.

My mother has Alzheimer's and has been a resident for 2 years. As a family, we can see that she is happy and very well cared for. Dashwood provides regular activities for the residents that can be tailored to their needs. Who would believe that an 84-year-old could go ice skating in a wheelchair and
have the time of her life? That is a picture I will keep. The staff are friendly and willing to answer any questions I have. I am kept updated regularly on her health and can access/request a copy of her records at any time. I also know that they will continue to support our family as my mother's disease progresses. Dashwood truly is a home.

We have been so happy with the care that dad has received at Dashwood Manor. From the outset, all of the staff have been wonderful - from the management and admin team, all of the care staff on Kempshott, the entertainment team, the chefs, the cleaning staff - everyone contributes to making Dashwood
the great place that it is. Dad always seems happy and well looked after, has clean clothes, and immaculate clean bedsheets, and all of the care team and other staff are so kind. On the above date, my car wouldn't start as the battery was flat. I received immediate help from 3 staff members. My car was parked in the home care park and in no time jump leads were produced so I was able to return home. The care and kindness was second to none. Thank you to these outstanding members

Dashwood Manor is a lovely, relaxing and well kept home for Dad who recently took up residency in the Austen Suite.
All of the staff are very friendly and helpful.
There are numerous activities and trips organised to participate in which the staff encourage.
Rooms are spacious and very well maintained
as are all areas of Dashwood Manor.
Food variety on the menu is excellent as are the complimentary drinks and snacks in the cafe!
Overall an excellent place for Dad's residency.

Overall, very happy with the care my mother is receiving, the staff are friendly and provide great care and entertainment for the residents.

Overall we are very pleased with the care our father receives at Dashwood. However we were dismayed with the content of his recent care plan review. It was inaccurate in many areas and we were compelled to put our concerns into writing. We received an immediate apology and the inaccuracies have now

My mum has been in Dashwood since January 2022. I can honestly say that Mum has flourished since going to Dashwood. I am very aware of all the departments and people involved that it takes to achieve this.
I expected at some point that Mum would say she wanted to come away - this has never happened.
Mum loves her suite and is very content. I would also say that this is no mean feat. Mum never wanted to go into a home, but fortunately, Dashwood was built in her local area.
As Mum has had Alzheimer's for nine years, staying local helped. I always said to Mum it is more like a five-star hotel, and it is. Mum does see certain members of staff as family, and for Mum, that is an enormous accolade. I can see why.
I am beyond grateful that many of the staff, including the manager, have been there from the start. For me, knowing Mum is, and she quotes, 'happy' to relatives is invaluable. I know that Mum is always in safe hands, and I have no hesitation in stating how amazing Dashwood is to anyone.

I’ve found the admin and nursing staff to be very efficient, caring and friendly. Both the building and public areas as well as residents dining, community lounges and library rooms are of a very high standard. The quality and variety of home-cooked food created by in-house chefs who provide 2 or 3-course
meals 3 times a day 7 days a week is commendable.
Having on-site or visiting GP, physiotherapist, hairdresser and chiropodist are all worthy of mention. I am also impressed with the entertainment provided each week including a summer BBQ in the grounds for residents and their families. Also popular is a day each month when family members can bring along their dogs to refresh both the resident's and pets' memories of each other. I would especially like to thank all the nursing staff, especially the carer on the 2nd floor and the lady in reception whom I’ve had most dealings with.

My wife has been at Dashwood for a year now and we are so happy that we chose this care home. The staff and other residents are all so kind, and there is always a friendly face and someone to chat with.
There are lots of activities to keep residents (and visitors!) busy and entertained.
I would recommend
Dashwood as there is a real family feel and the residents are well cared for.

My wife has dementia and has been looked after by Dashwood for at least 12 months in this home. When you enter there is a feeling of security the reception is bright and clean, the receptionist is very pleasant and organised. The whole reception area is large and one corner of it is set out like the
living room of anyone's home with a TV. Other activities go on in this room. The care staff are wonderful and their dedication is total. You can use the lift to access the upper floors or the stairs, these are accessed by using a security code. The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed and have alarms.
The dining room is bright and airy with a good menu to suit all tastes. The patients are encouraged to take part in the many activities that go on every day. During the summer there are parties in the very extensive and well looked after gardens. The patients are taken down for a walk or in their wheelchairs.

We visited Dashwood Manor to see our lovely friend recently, and she has dementia. It was our first time visiting a care home, and we were surprised to see how beautifully managed the nursing home. The lady receptionist was very kind and took us to where our friend stayed. Everyone we met there greeted
us with a smile. Our friend looks well and clean. Even her nails are coloured with her favourite purple colour. We had nice coffee and cake on our way back in their cafe for free of charge. When the time comes, I will definitely come to this nursing home.

This is a different class of nursing home. We moved Mum here in February after spending a year at a different home which we felt was not delivering the personal care they promoted. What a difference! The room was stunning, the bed linen was pristine and soft and the home just had the feel of a five-star
hotel.
The entire team were welcoming and treated us like part of an extended family. Big thanks go out to the customer relations manager for finding a place for Mum and to the staff member on the suite who took such loving care of Mum, over and above anything we expected.
Unfortunately, Mum didn't get to enjoy this place for long, after developing an illness and passing away shortly after but I will always cherish the memory of sitting with her in the cafe area, both enjoying a latte from a proper latte mug rather than a plastic beaker and her enjoying life as a human and not as a patient. We valued our time with her and with you. Thank you.

This place is amazing. My mother has been here for five weeks and now looks younger than she did beforehand and is smiling all the time. I am so glad that we were able to get her a room here as it is like a four-star hotel with the amenities and care that is given to all the residents. Nothing ever
is too much trouble for all the staff and the family are always kept in touch with what is going on. The staff make life enjoyable for the residents. There is a weekly programme of events that ensures that no one gets left out unless they want to, they go on trips, have meals out and are generally living a full life.
The home is always clean, smells nice and the food is excellent. It has a philosophy that they are caring for the residents but are also caring for the family as well.
Lots of people are trying to get a room here now as it is known locally as the best place ever for those that need being with others and receiving specialist care.

My wife's grandmother recently moved into Dashwood Manor and she absolutely loves it, we visit regularly and the staff and residents are all wonderful.
Good food and having the on-site hairdressers and nail bar, as well as the cinema room are added bonuses for sure.

My mother was only at Dashwood Manor =for the final five weeks of her life, but she was looked after with great care, kindness and professionalism by everyone there. At all levels of the staff - managers and care staff alike - there is a real sense of "the residents come first", and they certainly rose
to the challenge of helping me and my mother through those final sad weeks. The home is big and bright and modern, and offers a wide range of facilities and events - my mother was not really able to enjoy these, but clearly, for residents who go there in better health there is much to enjoy. I have seen a number of other care homes in recent years, but this is the best. I am most grateful.

Job Title: Home Manager

I have worked at Care UK for several years, and I have always appreciated the company’s visions and values. Their desire to help residents continue living fulfilling lives aligned with my own values.


I joined Dashwood Manor after several years as Deputy Manager at another local home. I am looking forward to being a part of the already great team at Dashwood and continuing to offer exceptional care together.


Being in a managerial role within the home requires very good listening and communication skills. You also need passion and care for the residents and the team you work with.


Each day I enjoy getting out of my office and onto the units, having the opportunity to interact with residents, relatives and colleagues.


I am excited to continue to get to know all the residents and their wonderful families.
