Overall Experience

My Step-Father has been resident at Dukes Court Care Home since Aug 16. He settled in extremely well, due to the fantastic staff getting to know him. Although suffering from Dementia all the staff, from the catering to laundry and direct-care teams, have taken the time to understand him and make sure that they are fully able to cater for his ever increasing needs. There are many activities to keep the residents engaged and active.

Dukes Court team moved my Step-Father into a room closer to the carers station ensuring that the night staff can observe him more closely and they provided a movable bed, minimising risk of injury. The Team have coped with his several visits to the hospital and genuinely welcomed him back with a smile and a hug. The staff are always happy and upbeat and treat all residents with the up-most respect and dignity.

I would happily move into Dukes Court if and when the time comes for me and I highly recommend them.

Thank you to everyone on the team at Dukes Court Care Home.

Overall Experience

My mother has used this home for respite care three times and each time I have been extremely satisfied with the care she has received. The staff are very pleasant and always helpful. One thing I would say I a little more information on what she has be doing would be good. Here are a lot of activities available and I'm never sure if she has taken part and if she has enjoyed it. I hope I will be able to continue to use this home for respite care.

Claire Keen
Claire KeenJob Title:Home Manager

I have been the home manager for 3 years now, and I am incredibly proud to be the Home Manager at Dukes Court and feel truly privileged to lead such a compassionate, dedicated, and talented team. Every day, we are committed to creating a home where residents feel safe, valued, respected, and supported to live life to the fullest. It is a privilege to be part of so many special moments and to make a positive difference to the lives of the people who call Dukes Court home.

With over 20 years of experience in health and social care, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles, each of which has shaped my passion for delivering exceptional, person-centred care. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to ensuring that older people are treated with dignity, kindness, and respect, while being supported to maintain their independence and continue enjoying the things that matter most to them.

As Home Manager, my vision is to create a warm, welcoming, and vibrant community where every resident feels a true sense of belonging. I firmly believe that outstanding care is built on meaningful relationships, genuine compassion, and taking the time to understand each individual. By getting to know our residents, their life stories, interests, preferences, and achievements, we are able to provide personalised care that celebrates who they are and supports them to continue living a fulfilling life.

Supporting and developing our team is something I am deeply passionate about. I believe that when colleagues feel valued, inspired, and empowered, they provide the very best care for our residents. Creating a positive, inclusive workplace where everyone feels appreciated is incredibly important to me, and I take great pride in fostering a culture of kindness, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Outside of work, I have a real passion for interior design and creating beautiful spaces. I also love travelling, experiencing different cultures, and discovering new places to eat with family and friends.

I look forward to welcoming you to Dukes Court and showing you everything that makes our home such a wonderful place to live, work, and visit. We are incredibly proud of the warm, friendly community we have created and would be delighted to welcome you into our Dukes Court family.
