Dad is well cared for. Good nursing, caring and helpful staff.
Our mother first attended Eliza Palmer at the height of Covid and we were immediately impressed with the duty of care and hygiene levels in the newly built facility. The last few years mum has experienced a cognitive decline, with communication difficult at times. However, she has always been very content and happy with her carers, the food and room facilities. Kingsley Healthcare have recently acquired the home and I cannot express enough gratitude and admiration for the levels of care and regular communication we have about mum and her condition. The team are first class and we have complete confidence in mum's care and safeguarding.
We love the home and surrounding village and it is great that we can pop mum in a wheelchair and go for a walk to sit in the garden. Mum is very happy at Eliza and joins in the activities when she can. She recently went on a riverboat trip and loved it. Generally, the staff are very good and caring, especially on a one-to-one basis. It would be nice to have more interaction with residents at weekends from those watching TV and for those who prefer to stay in their rooms. It seems they occasionally lack company. The food whilst satisfactory at the moment could be improved, however we understand moves are underway to ensure food is cooked fresh on the premises. The nursery staff are excellent and alert us promptly if mum's health or medical needs change.
I consider this to be an extremely good event carried out in a very happy and friendly environment.
Thank you for your review and kind words. We are so glad to hear that you find these get-togethers useful and it really boosts our hardworking team to hear such lovely feedback! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experiences of the Eliza Palmer Hub.
The care he has received has been outstanding and I mean outstanding.
After 3 months of residency, I feel so comfortable and reassured knowing that he is receiving the best possible care.
The staff are so caring to me as well as my husband and I visit at all sorts of times but the greeting is always the same.
Warm and welcoming.
I highly recommend you visit and decide for yourselves.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It is a delight to care for your husband in the Eliza Palmer Hub.

Meet the Team (4)

I have lived in Walton with my family for over 30 years. Family is very important to me, I have a son, a daughter and a partner. I value a good work-life balance and enjoy reading, eating out with friends and spending time with loved ones. Caring for my father, who lived with Parkinson’s Disease was a deeply rewarding experience that reinforced my passion for providing person-centred care. This commitment led me to a career in adult social care, where I have worked for over 15 years. My vision for Eliza Palmer is to empower our team to continue delivering outstanding care, ensuring that every resident feels happy, valued, and achieves positive outcomes. I also look forward to strengthening our connections with the local community and making Eliza Palmer a true home for all who live here.

After a career in Hospitality and catering, I joined the care sector during the challenging times of COVID in 2020. I realised that I really enjoyed being a carer and continued until joining Kingsley Healthcare in 2024 as activities coordinator, a role that I love. I feel that I make a real difference to the daily lives of our residents through planning regular activities as well as spending time with them on a one-to-one basis. Getting to know the residents is a delight, and I feel it is important to include them in the planning of our weekly activity programmes as well as consulting them on matters of the home through our resident representatives.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my 2 grown-up sons and friends. Cooking is a passion of mine, which is reflected in our regular cookery club activities. I also enjoy quizzing and keeping fit, also reflected in our activities.
