Thank you so much for your wonderful review of Elm Vie Care Home. We truly appreciate your kind words and are delighted to hear about your positive experience. Your feedback means a great deal to our team and encourages us to continue providing the highest standard of care. Thank you for your support.
My 96 year old relative fell ill over Christmas 2025 and was admitted to hospital early January 2026. She was discharged on 14th January and needed respite care. I found Elm View care home on the same day. I was welcomed into their reception lounge, given refreshment, which made me feel calm and relaxed, introduced to their customer relation manager, explained the background, had a show round of the premises and was very impressed and felt certain this was ideal care home for my relative. A room was available, was admitted for 2 week respite. She fitted in very well, was comfortable and secure. Six week trail was booked in, and she asked to stay permanently. Very happy/successful.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience.
We're really pleased to hear that you and your relative felt welcomed and supported from the moment you arrived, and that the initial respite stay helped provide comfort and reassurance during a difficult time....
It was quickly evident that all the team know each resident as an individual and care is tailored to fit the person, ensuring they maintain their identity and dignity.
Whilst we never wanted to be in this position, it is easier knowing we are part of a community that included Dad, other residents and families of Elm View.
hank you for your review. Your kind words and support mean so much to us.
We understand how difficult it can be when choosing a care home for a loved one, and were so pleased that Elm View felt like the right place for your family from the very beginning. Its especially meaningful to hear that...
We are really pleased with Elm View. Dad has settled in well, and also his companion dog, Toffee. It was such a relief to find a lovely home for both of them. Dad is pleased and relaxed, and Toffee has certainly made himself at home. The staff are absolutely lovely, kind, helpful and professional. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that your dad has settled in well and is happy and relaxed at Elm View. It's also wonderful to know that Toffee has made himself at home too!

The staff are so welcoming and friendly, it makes it a real pleasure to visit. Also, they work hard to ensure Mum enjoys plenty of interaction and stimulation. Furthermore, the home is always spotless and super clean.

After looking at many care homes in Somerset, we found Elm View Care Home in Bishop's Stortford near my brother's home. We have been nothing but impressed by all the staff from carers to management. Kind caring helpful and efficient. The care home is clean and wonderfully kept, making a difficult transition way easier for both my mum and dad. I would not hesitate to recommend Elm View to anyone looking for a wonderful and caring environment where nothing is too much for the amazing staff.

My husband is very cared for. Everywhere is very clean. Food excellent, nothing is too much trouble when speaking to staff, all are very helpful. He is very happy here and enjoys all the activities.

The care she has received is more than we could do at home. We are now back to being her children, and here mum classes Elm View as her home and family.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We know how difficult the move into care can be, so we're delighted your mum settled in so well at Elm View. Hearing that she now feels at home and that you can simply enjoy being her children again means so much to us. Thank you for trusting us with her care.
They have been a wonderful organisation full of love, support and empathy whilst they remain totally professional.
This standard is from the housekeeping staff, carers and management. The only question not answered is VFM and that is not the care home but our govt (any of them) not giving right level of support for our care services. The care home is exceptional. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that you felt supported throughout your dad's care journey. Your comments about our team's compassion, professionalism, and dedication mean a great deal to us all.
Thank you again for your trust and support - we wish you all the best.

Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. It truly meant a great deal to all of us to care for your mum, and we feel honored to have been part of her journey. She was very special, and it was a privilege to support her and your family during that time. Your appreciation will be shared with the whole team and will be deeply valued. Our thoughts remain with you and your family.
Mum was at Elm View for two years. From the moment she came through the door, she was given the greatest of care, love and dignity by all of the wonderful staff. Her clothes and room were always spotless, and she was extremely well fed with a lovely and varied menu. When mum's end came, the staff were wonderful, giving mum all of the care, love and dignity she or her family could have wished for. As a family, we were also supported with a great deal of love. We can't thank you enough.
It was an absolute privilege to care for your mum during her time at Elm View. Knowing that she felt cared for, respected, and dignified from the moment she arrived is incredibly important to our entire team.

Warm, friendly, family orientated team. Care was brilliant.

Mum arrived in Elm View for respite, and settled in very quickly, much to our surprise. We soon realised that our mum needed permanent care, so it was a no brainer to stay in Elm View. The staff are so kind and caring. Every member of staff I've met greets me with a smile.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Elm View. We're so please that your mum settled into the home and that you have entrusted us with her care going forward. Your review will mean a great deal to the staff in the home.
Having visited several homes, we were tentatively very impressed with Elm View. And we have not been disappointed. Mum, having just lost her husband, was unsure of moving to a home. However, she has quickly settled loves her surroundings, has made several good friends and is really fond of the staff. A specific member of staff always gets mentioned when we visit as mum says she is so very kind. We feel very fortunate to have found this place.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased your mum has settled in and made some good friends. I will share your feedback with the team.
My father became a resident at Elm View in February following the death of my mother. He loves the home and the staff & residents. He calls it home now and says he will never move, which is brilliant. We are more than happy with the level of care from all staff. The food could do with some attention to make it more attractive to elderly residents whos home it is. Also I feel that some variation in tea time menu would be nice.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The Home Manager will be in touch to discuss your feedback. We are so pleased your Father considers Elm View his home and you are happy with the level of care from all the team.
Elm View is a lovely home. My mum has settled well. The team are very helpful and caring. Can't thank them enough.

The kindness and caring attitude of the staff was excellent. They were unfailingly calm and respectful and inspired trust. My husband ended his life here and his last days were so peaceful. We were cared for as well as he was. Thank you so much.
We're so pleased to receive such wonderful feedback, and cannot thank you enough for taking the time to share at such a difficult time. Our team work incredibly hard to ensure our residents receive the very best care. We appreciate your kind comments, which I will pass on to the team.

Leon has worked for Quantum Care for many years starting as a Carer in 2003 and working his way up to a Home Manager position. All he wanted from a young age was to look after people. He has undertaken various training courses in Management and Leadership which has given him the knowledge and direction to be effective in his job role. He believes that people should be cared for holistically, taking into account what makes them who they are. He takes pride in championing others to be the best they can be in their job role. It is important to him that he develops meaningful relationships with residents, staff, relatives and other stakeholders to facilitate working in partnership to benefit everyone involved with the home. He sees himself as an advocate for the residents making sure that they receive the best care possible, especially those who can no longer communicate their needs or those living with dementia.

The Deputy Manager shares responsibility with the General Manager for running the home. Deputy Managers will each bring their own skill set to the home, some offering more assistance with the business side of things, while others focus largely on care. However, whether they look at it from a business or care perspective, the focus of the Deputy is always to ensure that their home is offering the very best quality of life for our residents. Experienced and either holding or working towards their qualifications, Deputy Managers are driven to provide the best of everything for their residents.

Brian has a hospitality background and has owned his own restaurant in South Africa. He moved to the UK with his family and worked in care during the COVID-19 pandemic. He then left care and moved over to private member golf clubs, where he was responsible for the clubhouse, meals, and service, ranging from small informal functions to large silver service events.
Brian really wanted to get back into the care sector as he is passionate about it, and after a couple of years, returned to the industry. He has taken on a role within Quantum Care as the first hospitality manager for the group and is slowly starting to put his expertise and systems in place to meet Quantum Care's mandate for their beautiful homes.
His main focus is the residents and their wellbeing, which includes the housekeeping, maintenance and meals within the home, as well as following the vision that Quantum Care has for the home. You will see the subtle changes within Elm View he slowly introduces things to make the home as special as its residents.

The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes.
