I would like to thank the staff at Engelhard Lodge so much for the care, attention, and kindness they gave to my father-in-law when he needed end-of-life care. I am full of praise for their respect for his wishes and for the dignity that enabled him to be the person he always was right up until the end. Their support for the family and regular communication was faultless. In all respects, they went over and above what I would expect and helped to make a difficult time a little easier.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate it.
My stepdad is in Englehard Lodge Care Home. He didn’t want to go into a home but because social services couldn’t provide the care he needed we had to choose a home for him. We visited Englehard Lodge Care Home and the manager was amazing, she gave us a tour of the home and it was immaculately clean. The care home didn’t have any smells apart from freshness. I’ve been a carer for 30-years and I’ve never seen such a perfect home to put my stepdad in. The staff are absolutely wonderful and my stepdad is so happy there, he loves it.
Thank you for your honest review, it’s really appreciated.
My mother-in-law has been in Englehard Lodge Care Home since coming out of hospital in February 2022 and the staff have been fantastic with her, she has settled in really well. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming, the home is really clean and she gets a good selection of food which she likes. Her bedroom is really spacious and clean. She always has a good word for all the members of staff that work there.
Thank you for your kind and honest review, we really appreciate it.
My stepfather has been at Engelhard Lodge for just over a month now and the transformation in him is very noticeable. In his previous care home, he was quite withdrawn and did not show much propensity to interact with others. Since being at Engelhard he is much more responsive and alert and even his physical demeanour has improved. I am very much aware that this is due to the care and attention he is receiving and could not be more grateful to the staff. Thank you Engelhard.
Thank you for your kind review, we really appreciate it.
My father, unfortunately, had to move into care due to needs and declining health. The staff have been extremely understanding and supportive towards my father as his needs have been quite challenging health-wise but on the account of the staff's dedication and compassion my father's health has slowly improved. I feel the manager along with all staff have been understanding, supportive, honest, genuine, and friendly right from start. The home is extremely clean along with decor being pleasant and inviting. I would to thank every member of staff along with the manager for their continuous support and dedication.
Thank you very much for your kind review, we really appreciate it.
My Grandma has been in Englehard Lodge since the end of 2021 and I cannot express just how positive the experience has been for her. After deteriorating both physically and mentally during the months she was in another care home, since moving to Englehard she has found a totally new lease of life and is healthier and happier than she has been in years. The staff are dedicated, authentic, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure residents feel at home and included and are treated with dignity and respect. They have also been incredibly accommodating to family visitors - my children love visiting their great-grandma and a big part of that is how warm and welcoming the Englehard staff team are. I cannot recommend Englehard highly enough.
Thank you for your kind review, we really appreciate it.
Since moving my grandmother to this care home, she’s a changed woman. She is so much happier and able to do so much more. The staff are lovely and friendly and treat my grandma with respect. The building is always so clean, well kept and feels very welcoming. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones to be well looked after.
Thank you for your honest review, we really appreciate it.
I can't thank the staff enough for the care, thoughtfulness, and attention they have given to us as a family. They are always so welcoming and understanding and their dedication and professionalism are first class. The rooms are bright and comfortable and the whole ambiance is warm and welcoming. Engelhard Lodge has a mission statement 'Our family caring for yours' and they certainly deliver this in every way. They are to be commended for everything they have and continue to achieve.
Thank you for your kind review. We really appreciate it!
Since my mother moved into Engelhard Lodge her health has improved and I put this down to the excellent care she has received from the care home’s staff, who are all very pleasant and friendly. The care home itself is very bright and clean and there is a family atmosphere, meaning we feel very welcome when we visit. They take covid very seriously and we are tested every time we visit, which I am very happy to do. I highly recommend Engelhard Lodge Care Home.

It’s a fantastic homely environment, to five-star standards. The meals are amazing and the staff look after each and every resident with care and patience. Cleanliness is up to high standards and the staff are so kind and proactive. They give all residents that feeling of independence.
Thank you for your honest review, we really appreciate it.
In January 2022 my wife was due to be discharged from the hospital, although she was still very ill, I was told by the hospital doctors she would need twenty-four-seven care. A conversation by phone with Social Services told me my wife would be going into Engelhard Lodge Care Home. On my first visit to see my wife, I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the care home. My wife’s room was very nicely decorated and bright, she had her own television, fully furnished, and also a wet room. My wife’s health has improved since she has been a resident and I think it is down to the care and patience of the carers since she has been in Engelhard Lodge Care Home. All the staff are pleasant and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble for them to do. The residents are given a menu each morning and the choices are first class. I visit Engelhard Lodge Care Home 6-days a week and I am met with a cup of coffee and biscuits. I could not have chosen a better care home for my wife than Engelhard Lodge Care Home.
Thank you for your honest review, it’s really appreciated.
Been very happy with the patience and care given to my father. His condition is challenging and they appear to me to be doing their absolute best. I feel comfortable and confident that he is safe there.
Thank you for your review Helen - once we are in a better position with Covid-19 we will have a jam-packed activities schedule.
