The staff are very caring and professional. They take excellent care of my mam and are incredibly patient and kind to her. Due to Covid, this has been very difficult to maintain contact, but they have done everything possible to alleviate any concerns and reassure our family.
Good people as carers and admin staff very efficient. Mum's room looks out onto well-kept gardens and she can watch the birds from her window. All the furniture including carpeting is provided and kept clean by the staff. There is an internet service available to connect loved ones with absent friends and family who cannot visit in person. Medication is strictly controlled by house leaders and onsite management. Lovely place to visit.
I feel that my mam is extremely well looked after by caring attentive staff. They do their best during this challenging time to entertain the residents. My mam appears to be comfortable in her surroundings. I like the way she can freely walk around the building and gardens. The home has a cosy atmosphere, all areas are well presented. Her bedroom is nicely presented, large and comfortable. I have been in many care homes over the past two years and find Eothen to be up there with the best. I truly believe that the staff gives my mam excellent care, I know she is the best place as a result of having to live with Alzheimer's.
My Granny has been a resident at Eothen Wallsend for nearly a year now and I could not be happier with the care and staff members. They all go over and above the call of duty. I live in London so having peace of mind that Granny is safe and being looked after well really makes a hard situation a lot better. Thank you all for everything! You are amazing!
My Mam was lucky enough to get a place at this care home in December following high recommendation. She settled in so well and we are over the moon with her progress since moving in. This home has everything we wanted for Mam, I love the fact they live in small groups and literally every member of staff is so friendly and welcoming. In these hard times, I know the carers treat Mam like their own family to make up for us not being there as much. The home is miles ahead of others when it comes to dealing with covid 19 visiting etc, they have accommodated us so well. The regular contact via email/newsletter/social media is really comforting and we love seeing how Mam is getting on. There are so many activities for Mam to take part in, the residents are never just left alone in their rooms for hours on end like in other places. I wouldn’t want my Mam anywhere else!
After months of worrying and anxiety about the thought of my Mam going into care - I found Eothen Homes Wallsend. If only we’d known about this beautiful care home with the most caring of staff from Receptionists to Carers, we need not have ever worried. My Mams move was seamless absolutely stress-free the staff organised everything - nothing is ever a problem. I cannot praise them enough everyone is so helpful always cheerful and my Mam is settling in there so well! She asked me last week if she could stay! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. You are all amazing from the Manager to Carers you should all be so proud of the work you do and the support you give not just to your residents but the absolute peace of mind you give to their families. My family and I will be eternally grateful for the care you give our Mam.
My Mum has been a resident at this home for over 4 years. Her care has been consistently excellent and she is very happily settled. currently, the staff have made every effort to enable visitors whilst complying with health instructions. I would recommend Eothen to anyone considering a care home for their loved one.
Mum has settled well over the last year and is always happy and full of praise for the staff and the home itself. The activities are varied and stimulating. The staff are friendly and keep us informed.
My brother was a patient in the home for 4 1/2 years, in December he fell ill and the staff, for all the care they gave him, thought it wise to get him to hospital. This decision gave another 4 weeks with him. They looked after him going the extra mile and also supporting the family. Nothing was too much bother, to him it was like having him in a 5 star hotel. I can't find anything negative to say about the building or staff. I hope it is still around when I need it.
My father spent the last three and a half years of his life here. The care he received was outstanding. Every member of staff, from the reception staff, housekeeping to carers; are amazing. It is like a family, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eothen Homes. The not only provide first-class care for the residents but also support family members too; through some difficult times and decisions. Keep doing what you are doing Eothen!
I have been staying here for six weeks now and have found the staff very friendly and professional. My bedroom is like a small flat, very clean and comfortable. I have found the food very nice and varied. Lots going on every day, lots of group activities for us all to do. Although I miss my own home, this is the ideal replacement that I would choose.
The care that my Grandad receives is excellent. There is always activities and events going on at Eothen and I like that Eothen doesn't look like a standard residential care home. There is nothing clinical looking about the place and the staff don't wear uniforms, which creates a nice relaxing environment.
My Grandad has been a resident of Eothen for just under two years. The staff are outstanding. The care my Grandad receives is excellent. Activities are varied and residents are encouraged to join in and socialise. Staff are friendly and create a lovely atmosphere for residents. The interaction between my Grandad and the staff is amazing.
Excellent first-class facility. Staff caring, friendly, a can-do attitude. Well done.
This home is the best home ever. The staff are brilliant. The warmth hits you as you go through the door. Staff can't do enough for your family. Nothing is too much trouble. Our family are in the best hands. Thank you to all staff for being great. The ability of my mother being able to wander around with no restrictions into quiet areas activities that are organised daily is great. Why couldn't we find you first?
How very fortunate my sister was to spend her last few months at Eothen Homes - Wallsend. At all times she was treated with dignity and encouraged to participate in activities. It was a great comfort to my husband and me to know she was safe and in caring company. Thank you and God bless you.
This care home was fabulous and gave my dad an extra 2 years. He loved it and always used to say it was his hotel. We could sleep sound at night knowing my dad was well looked after and staff were 1st class to him. He loved each and everyone that cared for him in Willinton House in Eothen Homes.
Such a pleasure visiting my grandma is such a lovely place. What a relief knowing she's so well cared for. We couldn't wish for any more from the caring and friendly staff!
We are delighted with the excellent care Eothen Home - Wallsend gives to our mother. The staff are always smiling, very friendly and very caring to both residents and family.
Having had experience of three other care home I can confidently say that the model of care adopted by Eothen Homes is unlike any other in the locality.
My relative is loved and cared for by all of the staff at Eothen as if she were their own relative. We leave after every visit assured she is in the best possible location.
