All the staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. No task was too much for them. I cannot fault anyone. I was treated with the utmost care the whole 4-weeks I was with them. I was in lockdown a lot of the time, so have not answered for activities.

My husband was admitted to Folkestone Care Centre in January 2020. He had been before twice for respite and that is the place where he was happy. From day one he was happy and smiling, doing activities and having a varied life with good food that he always enjoyed. He liked the carers and the carers
liked him. He was respected and treated with kindness and he appreciated a good sense of humour. His condition of Parkinsons-Dementia deteriorated and got to the final stages at the time of the Covid-19 lockdown and my husband was dying and died on 3rd April 2020. We were treated with humanity and compassion always.

The staff are warm and friendly. The home is always very clean and never smells, rooms are always clean and the food is very good. I always say its more like a hotel than a care home. There are always activities going on. I am always informed if anything is wrong with my mother, and her hair has never
looked better as they have a hairdresser there.

We were so impressed with the Folkestone Care Centre.
It has a hotel feel, with a professional reception welcome and as it was our first visit; we were taken to our friend’s room.
We were given a tour of the building and garden, and every staff member that we met was friendly and helpful. We finished
our tour with tea and cakes served to us in the dining room.
During our visit, our friend received a physiotherapy session, which has already made such a difference to our friend’s confidence and well being.
The facilities are excellent and maintained to a very high level of cleanliness.

All staff are very helpful and make visitors more than welcome. Care of residents is excellent and a close watch is kept on their health, weight, diet, etc. Exercises and games are also encouraged to keep body and mind as active as possible.
Meals are also very good and tables laid attractively.
If
it becomes necessary for a loved one to go into care, Folkestone Care Centre would be your first choice.

Since my father has been a resident he has been treated with dignity and allowed to express his own thoughts and feelings as an individual person. At first, he would not come out of his room or mix with the other residents but after time and with the encouragement of the staff he is now eating meals

Everything about this care home is first class. My mother moved onto the dementia suite from another care home earlier this year as her condition deteriorated, and we have been so delighted as a family at how well she has settled in. Due to my mothers increased need for nursing care, she had to be transferred from her care home to Folkestone Care Centre. From the outset, she was made to feel welcome and the worry of her settling into a new and strange environment was never an issue. All the staff have been fantastic, treating her
with dignity, respect and a lot of kindness. FCC work together with our family to make sure our Mum gets the best love, care and attention. We are kept well informed and consulted on anything that involves Mums well being. The staff and management treat us all as part of an extended family. The atmosphere in FCC always feels happy and friendly, due to all the hard work that the staff do, my Mum has become more responsive and is enjoying a much more stimulating environment, which for our family is a delight to see.

I came in for respite with a broken leg. The staff have been friendly and helpful. The bed was ideal for elevating my leg and there was always a cup of tea/coffee on demand for me and my visitors. The care I needed was fully provided.

My late mother moved to Folkestone Care centre on 18th February 2019, to the Radnor suite for people suffering from Dementia. From day one the staff were so caring and helped mum to settle in. They saw to her every need with great respect and dignity.
My mother had vascular dementia and propr to the
move she had been in hospital for over 7 months. The care home was clean, beautifully decorated and welcoming. The lead nurses on Floor 1 were outstanding they acted professionally, caring, friendly and kept us up to date with mums condition. They are a true asset to the caring profession.
