I visit Folkestone Care Centre on a weekly basis with my PAT dog, Rolo. Folkestone Care Centre is an amazing care home, modern, state of the art, clean with lovely staff at all levels.
When I first visited, it put me in mind of a five-star hotel, classy, roomy, brilliant facilities and spacious en-suite rooms.
It is certainly a place I would love to stay when my time comes. The residents have various activities to do each day and regular visiting singers.

A truly excellent experience.

My stay at Folkestone Care Centre made my recovery after my knee replacement a very positive experience. I cannot fault any of the staff who were so kind, friendly and helpful, whether nursing, catering or cleaning team.
The two weeks went very quickly, and I hope to return when the second knee is replaced. I tried to stay independent, but it was nice not to worry about cooking or any help needed.

Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

A close friend spent only a few months in the Folkestone Care Centre as sadly her life came to an end after a fall. Her time being cared for by the home was special. She was treated with respect, and with dignity, and with some members of staff with affection. My visits to my friend were a pleasure to be able to share tea and cakes as we did in the past was important to both of us. I highly recommend the Folkstone Care Centre.

My mother-in-law has been a resident for two years and has been well cared for with all her needs met. Staff are understanding, patient and caring. The family have never known Mum to be so happy in her environment. Yesterday we attended a barbeque in the garden and this event confirmed to the family how happy and well cared for Mum is. We couldn't imagine another home that could be better than Folkestone Care Centre.

Having only recently visited three times we were very happy with how we were greeted, the staff were all so kind and our friend is so much happier there. Nothing seems too much trouble to ask for help. We are amazing how much time is spent with the people in residence and the activities they are encouraged to join in. We have no worries our friend is well cared for.

The wellness team arranged a lovely lunch at the Clifton Hotel. This was very well organised and allowed residents to spend time with their families. The wellness team also arranged other various activities in the lead-up to Christmas including a Christman Party.

My father has recently passed away. For the last three years, he was cared for on the dementia Radnor at Folkestone Care Centre. He was looked after with great dignity, and extreme care and very well looked after. The staff are amazing and make you feel very welcome. We would like to thank them all for their care and the way they gave my dad the extreme care he needed, right up to the very end.

The only problem I have is with contacting on the phone. Trying to book visits, no reception at weekends. I understand there is a problem with the phone lines.

Mum was moved into the care home from another care home that I was not happy with. After the initial period of adjustment, Mum started to look so much brighter and was so complimentary about the Staff and her surroundings. Her room was bright and beautifully furnished with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Her meals were of a very high standard and the resident's dining room and lounge are very welcoming. All of the staff have been so very kind and polite and any concerns I have raised have been dealt with promptly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

Not having a basic small television in place in the bedrooms seems out of modern times. A choice of blankets or a duvet was offered in a telephone conversation, a client was chosen. but the care centre did not stock them. We supplied our own as that is what my husband used at home. Otherwise, as a caring family we are very pleased we used Folkstone Care Centre.

Moving mum from another care home was a really difficult decision, but I am glad that we did. The home is well set out, and the staff have been brilliant with mum. Although there was a period of settling in to be done, this has happened and now mum seems happier. Unfortunately mum still has days of being bored, but that is mostly due to her having difficulty making friends. Once all the entertainment is back I am hoping she will mix more with the residents and start to feel happier. The staff are always very polite and make you feel welcome. Would certainly recommend this home for your older relatives.

Mum was moved into care once it became impossible for the family to continue caring for her at home. Having used the home before for my grandmother, I had no hesitation in trusting them to look after Mum. The staff are always kind and caring, and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are fantastic, as are the facilities, although Mum is unable to sadly participate in the activities. Definitely 5-star.

My experience with the above-mentioned care home has always been very good. The staff are always very professional, and nothing is too much trouble. Mum went into the home in April, originally as respite as she suffers from Alzheimer's, but we realised very quickly that she was in the best place, sadly in October she suffered a stroke and has now been moved to the nursing ward as she is now bed-bound. The staff are very patient with her, as it can take a while for her to eat her meals, and she is always very clean and well presented when we go to visit.
