My dad who suffered a stroke back in July is now a permanent resident in Harlow Hall, as he needs 24 hour care which I am unable to provide for him. It is something we both didn't ever want to happen, but there wasn't really any choice. Dad is very limited as to what he can participate in with the activities,
as he is visually impaired and hard of hearing, but the staff have made him so welcome. He seems to have settled in very well, even though he still thinks at times he's coming home. Harlow Hall is very clean and tidy, and the food is good. Snacks are always available. The carers are absolutely brilliant with my dad, and they tell me it's a pleasure looking after him. That is really nice to hear, as I still feel guilty about having to put him in a care home 5 months later.
I would recommend Harlow Hall to anyone looking for a care home.

Dad attends every Monday, plus goes along to some of the activities on other days. Everyone so friendly, and fun. I have no worries leaving dad there, I know he is safe and well cared for. Very wide range of activities to suit every taste. Community welcome to join in too. Dad enjoys his days there,
loves the food. Residents I talk to tell me say they are always being fed! It gives him a fun day out, mixing with others, with staff watching out for him and encouraging him to join in and experience new things and companionship. Family made just as welcome even though dad only attends 1 day a week. All one big family, lovely atmosphere.

Mum has been on respite care at Harlow Hall for 5 weeks now. She has settled in well overall and interactions with staff have been excellent. The lounge is light, spacious and welcoming to visitors. Her room overlooks the garden and has ample storage for clothes and shelving for home comforts. Bathroom
is very spacious with walk in shower.
Staff are in constant attendance to all the residents needs.
As a visitor, Harlow Hall is a calming place to visit. Staff are highly trained and have years of experience in care. Their knowledge and advice is invaluable.I have felt fully supported at all times.

Mum was always very clear that she never wanted to go into a care home, and as a family we worried about how she might adjust if the time ever came. However, within just a few days of being at Harlow Hall, she completely surprised us - she settled in so well and quickly began to love it there. The environment
is warm, welcoming, and feels more like a home than we ever imagined.
The staff have been nothing short of amazing. They treat Mum with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion, making her feel valued and respected. Their gentle approach and constant attentiveness have given her a real sense of comfort and belonging.
For us as a family, knowing that Mum is safe, cared for, and happy brings such peace of mind. We no longer carry the worry of whether she is being looked after properly. We are so grateful to Harlow Hall for giving her this quality of life.

It was always going to be difficult to find somewhere nearby to look after my mum who has dementia. It's not something in our lifetime that we have to do very often therefore, is very important to get right. I was aware of Harlow Hall and just popped in for a chat. At the time my mum was in a home 150
miles away therefore the logistics were never going to be easy. I spoke to staff regarding my situation I immediately felt reassured that they would guide us through the procedure. This included getting her assessed to ensure they could provide the right care for her.
Having toured the residence I was impressed with the clean, modern and welcoming vibe within. The ambience was pleasant and the staff bright and cheerful. A lovely room as well as other facilities available and the decision was easy. The arrangements were completed with the minimum of fuss and within a short space of time mum was there and settled.
Plenty of activities, lovely staff and much more. Highly recommended. Thanks

Coming up to a year now, we remain so impressed with the care our mum is receiving at Harlow Hall. It has exceeded all our expectations. She settled in far better than we ever imagined, which we believe is down to the genuine kindness and excellent care from the staff.
As a family, we truly value
how warmly we're always welcomed when we visit. It's clear that the staff care and respect not just the residents, but their families too.
Thank you to everyone for creating such a positive and compassionate environment. We can see the difference it's made in our mum's life, and it gives us real peace of mind.

Thank you to everyone at Harlow Hall for your exceptional care and support during Dad's transition to residential living. Your professionalism, kindness, and patience made a difficult time so much easier for the both of us.
Thanks to your compassionate approach, Dad has settled in well. There were
a few hurdles along the way, but nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Your facilities are excellent, the activities are engaging (loved the VR experience and petting zoo), and the meals definitely deserve their 5 star rating! Most importantly, you've made Dad feel welcome and valued. He's never lonely, and that means everything. Thank you for all you do.

Mum was not able to enjoy the facilities of Harlow Hall for very long, due to an unexpectedly rapid decline in her health, but we were very grateful that she was so well cared for during her last days. The admission process was very smooth and she was able to move in three days after my initial enquiry.
Rooms are modern with en suite wet rooms, the corridors are wide and carpeted. The communal lounges are nicely furnished and there are several smaller areas and rooms where you can sit and have a quiete chat with family or friends.

Above all, without exception, the Staff and Carers were all amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they treated Mum and us with the utmost kindness at every stage. They did everything they could to ease us through her last days. I cannot recommend Harlow Hall highly enough to anyone looking for a caring environment for a loved one.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in Mum's care, you're doing a fantastic job.

The whole experience from beginning to end was efficient warm and welcoming. The home is bright and has a lovely homely feel. The staff couldn't do enough to care for my Aunt for 4weeks respite,to joining in with activities to eating with others encouraging her be part of their family feel. To take
time to have a chat and a cuppa so important in her wellbeing. To have her so close to us for that short time really helped us as a family in many ways.
Thank you all.

My Dad stayed at Harlow Hall for 2 weeks respite care, and also visits for day visits once a fortnight.

Dad was apprehensive about his stay, but said how delighted he was with Harlow Hall, he spoke about how clean and modern it is, that the food was excellent, and he would be delighted to stay again.

This is high praise indeed as my Dad does like to find fault, and has very much lost his filter!

Dad is 92 and has mobility challenges and needs a frame or if going outside needs a wheelchair, he can also be reluctant to get involved with activities. Whilst we were away we kept up to date with Harlow Hall through their social media page and were delighted to see him appearing in photos and videos of numerous activities, thoroughly enjoying himself!

The staff always greet my Dad by name, they are very caring and appear to really enjoy engaging with the residents

We have been super impressed with Harlow Hall and all the staff. We found ourselves in a tricky situation which required urgent respite care. With the help of lots of staff we were able to move mum in the same day. The rooms are lovely and light with great en-suite facilities. They offer a wide range
of activities to keep everyone occupied from gardening, exercise classes, music/singing, dancing, make and mend, cinema room. Every time someone pops in, mum is happy and safe. All the staff are friendly and approachable. If you need a care home would definitely recommend this one.

Our mum has been attending day care and the many community events organised at Harlow Hall. She really enjoys the company and the activities. Mum likes the various speakers and entertainers who come to Harlow Hall, admittedly some more than others based on her musical taste. All the staff are very welcoming
and supportive to Mum and the whole family. They take mum's personal needs and preferences into consideration while providing professional and respectful care. After going to Harlow Hall for the activities and day care for several months, Mum is now looking forward to a holiday (respite care) there and is considering it for a long term home.

My mum and dad moved into Harlow Hall in March - they have own rooms very near each other. There have been bumpy moments along the way (and probably more to come) but the team at Harlow Hall have navigated them with care and kindness. The family have been kept informed about problems as and when they
have arisen. My parents seem happier and have settled in, and their quality of life is so much better than where they came from. Their rooms are lovely, and the facilities and activities are excellent. Thank you to the Harlow Hall team for the cheerful and respectful work you do.

My husband went into Harlow Hall in January 2025 for 2 weeks as I was going out of the country. The place was amazing, everything one could wish for and more. Lovely bedroom with en-suite bathroom. A movie room that was so comfortable and luxurious. Dinning area and lounge with 5 star facilities. But
the best of all was the staff, they were the" cherry on top", welcoming ,caring, and happy. I could not have asked for more.
Knowing that my husband was in such good hands enabled me to relax and enjoy my time away.
Not long after my return. We had an emergency situation which needed my hubby to be put into respite again.
Harlow Hall were great. They took him back without any problems and he stayed with them for a further week, making sure he felt very special and welcome. I can only recommend that if you are undecided about where to put a loved one that you visit Harlow Hall, they are the best.

Upon my first visit to this beautiful new home, I knew that my mother and the family would be happy with the decision to send her here.
The process of transferring my mother to the home from hospital was incredibly smooth thanks to regular communication, and updates from Harlow Hall.
Harlow Hall
is modern, clean, bright with a friendly team who add that personal touch.
My mother is looked after well with regular carers and carers understanding her needs.
She has flourished immensely since leaving hospital 6 months ago with weight gain, colour to her cheeks and general overall well being and mood improvement.
I can honestly say this was the best decision we have made and are delighted that she gets the care and support in this wonderful home which is local to the family.

My grandmother moved into Harlow Hall in February after having a pretty terrible time of carers in her own home, and was very skeptical about moving into a care home. However, she hasn't looked back. She tells me she is treated like a Queen and they all work incredibly hard. Everyone she comes into
contact with treats her with kindness and dignity. She is so happy and she is no longer lonely as the staff regularly pop in her room to have a chat with her. The food is also really good. After months of half cooked frozen meals she now has delicious and healthy food.

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.866 for Harlow Hall is calculated as follows: ( (427 Excellents x 5) + (41 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 479 Ratings = 4.866
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Harlow Hall is based on 41 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 41 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

We are very excited by the brand new care home coming to the heart of Aldershot in Summer 2023. It's the first care home to come to Aldershot since 2016, and, with such a central location, we're aiming to play an important role within the local community. As with all our homes, the main objective at Aldershot will be enabling our residents to live their lives to the fullest, carrying on with the interests they love, dining on exquisite meals, and spending time with friends and family.
