Heathfield Court is an award-winning care home that provides compassionate residential, nursing and dementia care.

The experienced team focuses on gaining a deep understanding of each of their treasured residents, alongside their medical and physical needs. They also seek to establish meaningful relationships with residents’ loved ones, involving them in life at the home.

There is a varied schedule of person-centred activities to suit all interests and abilities; from art afternoons and fun group exercise to gardening club.

Residents are supported to maintain links with the local community, building friendships with school children and visiting performers, as well as enjoying regular minibus excursions to historical sites, museums, tea rooms, and nature reserves. The home also runs a ‘make a wish’ initiative, granting residents’ wishes, big and small.

Set over three floors, the elegant and welcoming home features beautiful en-suite bedrooms, relaxing lounges and a bustling bistro. There is an on-site library, cinema, spa and hair salon, all surrounded by tranquil landscaped gardens and a sunny roof terrace. The home also offers the latest in dementia aid technology from Tovertafel digital games table to sensory spa bathrooms.

Heathfield Court is home to affectionate rescue dogs, Trixie and Lulu. Residents enjoy petting and grooming the lovable duo, as well as taking them for walks in the garden and surrounding countryside.

In September 2023, Heathfield Court was voted among the Top 20 care homes in London by carehome.co.uk, for the second-time. It was also a Regional Finalist for the Putting People First Award in the Great British Care Awards 2023.

I think the care home is very nice and has lovely people here.
My nan is very happy here and the carers are lovely.
The place is clean and friendly, lively and great company.

Nikki

Nikki Martin

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2023

Nikki began her inspirational career in care back in 1988 and joined Heathfield Court as a senior carer in 2018, a year after we opened. Showing a natural flair for person-centred care, Nikki’s talent was quickly recognised, as she progressed to a team leader, then later head of care.


Nikki’s dedication, passion and unwavering ability to bring joy to others, shone through year after year, and it wasn’t long before she took on the role of deputy manager. She even chose to move into Heathfield Court during the early days of the pandemic, to provide care and reassurance to our residents and wider team.


A graduate of our Management Academy, Nikki excelled in our training programme for aspiring leaders in 2021. Throughout this time, she was personally mentored by Carebase business manager and former home manager Gina Kitchenham. Nikki became Heathfield Court’s registered home manager in 2023.


Nikki shares that: “The best part of my job is making the residents laugh and providing them with the best possible experiences in the later part of their life. That’s what makes me happy.”


When she isn’t with her Heathfield family, Nikki likes to spend time with her husband Pat and grandchildren, Khloe, 13, and Finley, 6, as well as enjoying time with her son, Thomas, and daughter Stacey – who also works at Heathfield as our receptionist!
