I opted to move my cousin to Heathfield Court after reviewing the facilities there. The deputy manager gave us a tour of the home and we were very impressed, not only by the clean and comfortable surroundings but more so by the care and respect shown to the residents by the staff. When my cousin left the previous home, she was deemed to be immobile and in need of nursing care but since being cared for at Heathfield is now able to walk with a frame and only requires residential care. The staff at Heathfield are enabling her to live the best possible life that she can and we have seen a huge improvement in her demeanour after just a couple of weeks. The staff keep us up to date with any changes to her care needs and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

My mother, unfortunately, was not in this care home for long before she passed away, but in the short period she was there the carers were extremely helpful, informative and more importantly very caring towards my mum's needs.

This home is excellent!
All the staff are extremely supportive, compassionate and hard-working from the manager to the volunteers that make the teas, and the gardeners that keep the grounds immaculate.
They not only look after the residents but the families too, keeping them informed and up to date at all times.

Would have no hesitation recommending this home to anyone.

This is a superior quality care home, which requires the payment of high monthly amounts for the provision of care and accommodation. Residents are treated in a caring, loving manner and everything possible is done to safeguard their health and welfare. The programme of activities keeps them fully occupied and stimulated. The furnishings are excellent, as is the quality of staff and their supervision. The dissemination of information to relatives is always excellent and has increased during the pandemic, constantly informing of conditions, test results and changes. In the event of any query arising from relatives, it is always immediately dealt with efficiently, courteously and pleasantly.

My Dad recently passed away in Heathfield after spending a wonderful 10 months in this outstanding care home. My Dad went into the home for respite following a hospital stay, within 5 days he was asking if could stay permanently. He was so happy. The home made such a difference to my Dad, everyone was amazing.
The staff were always attentive to his needs everything was so personalised. He had various medical needs and the staff were always well informed. The accommodation is excellent, food wonderful, none of this would count if the care did not match these standards but be rest assured the care is first class, Heathfield exceeds in everything.
All staff from nursing, carers, cleaners, cooks, activities team, maintenance, admin and the wonderful manager, are all involved in making residents feel looked after and amongst friends.

Relatives are also supported to excellent standards, nothing raised is ever trivialised and you are always kept informed.

Beyond exceptional is how I can describe this real gem of a care home!
My mother sadly passed away after spending 14 weeks here on palliative care she was treated with respect and dignity throughout her stay.
The manager and all her staff are the most caring I have ever met and the home is so spotlessly clean!

I can't name all of the staff individually but I send them my warmest thanks for looking after my mother so very well indeed!

The whole family are so grateful and appreciate all the lengths Heathfield Court has gone through to protect the residents during the pandemic. Aside from that; the care that they give is second to none, and they also care about family members. They have caring and cheerful staff from management, senior carers, nurses, bistro staff, housekeeping and premises; they are all fantastic.

I have visited my friend on several occasions. Her room is always clean and well kept. The staff replace her towel and water on a regular basis. I have been welcomed by the staff on every visit. They have been kind to me and always provided me with a drink. My friend is very well cared for. This is a lovely care home.

Staff are first class, caring, considerate, pro-active, facilities are excellent. Food - Varied and of the highest quality. There is a sense of humour that radiates and is very influential in the health and well being of the residents. My friend who is in nursing care has not been out of bed since September 2019 whilst in 3 hospitals - yesterday they got him out into a chair, wonderful.

After an operation under general anaesthesia, I spent a week at Heathfield Court Care Home, starting on 7th June 2019. There, I was received by the staff, especially the assistant manageress, with courtesy, friendship and affection. The very much appreciated affection which seemed to soothe my pain. Their extreme vigilance throughout the night reflects the high level of care received by the residents.
The food was excellent, could the elegant dining room with its friendly residents have been contributing towards it? Whatever, this is the place I would like to be when I close my eyes forever.

My thanks to the staff.

The care and assistance give by all the staff at Heathfield Court was exemplary. Mum needed respite care and stayed at Heathfield for approx one month. The facilities are wonderful and there was a full and varied events program with something for everyone. Mum had a lovely private ground floor room with access to a private outside patio area - it was all beautifully clean and tidy.

My Great Aunt went into Heathfield Court for nursing end of life care. I have to say it was the best experience we could possibly have asked for. From the moment we walked through the door and the administrator greeted us to the day my Great Aunt sadly passed away. All the staff were so kind and caring not just with my Great Aunt but with us as a family. The Manager really took time out of her day to make sure we were all looked after, she really went above and beyond and we will always be grateful.

My sister and I are very happy with the home and the care and all of the staff. The atmosphere here is always relaxed. The décor is tasteful and stylish.
Every member of staff that we have met has been genuinely caring and kind. The staff are friendly and professional.

Most importantly, after a year of our mum being in hospital, we, at last, do not worry about her or her care when we say goodbye after our visits. Heathfield is a special place.

Nikki Martin
Nikki MartinJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2023

Nikki began her inspirational career in care back in 1988 and joined Heathfield Court as a senior carer in 2018, a year after we opened. Showing a natural flair for person-centred care, Nikki’s talent was quickly recognised, as she progressed to a team leader, then later head of care.

Nikki’s dedication, passion and unwavering ability to bring joy to others, shone through year after year, and it wasn’t long before she took on the role of deputy manager. She even chose to move into Heathfield Court during the early days of the pandemic, to provide care and reassurance to our residents and wider team.

A graduate of our Management Academy, Nikki excelled in our training programme for aspiring leaders in 2021. Throughout this time, she was personally mentored by Carebase business manager and former home manager Gina Kitchenham. Nikki became Heathfield Court’s registered home manager in 2023.

Nikki shares that: “The best part of my job is making the residents laugh and providing them with the best possible experiences in the later part of their life. That’s what makes me happy.”

When she isn’t with her Heathfield family, Nikki likes to spend time with her husband Pat and grandchildren, Khloe, 13, and Finley, 6, as well as enjoying time with her son, Thomas, and daughter Stacey – who also works at Heathfield as our receptionist!
