'I have been employed in the care industry for around 30 years in both acute and non-acute settings. As such, exposure to multiple clinical specialities has enabled me to develop a diverse range of organisational and managerial skills.
My background covers Learning disability, Care of the Elderly, and Forensic Nursing in both Residential and Nursing Care settings as well as 7 years in training and development.
As an NVQ coordinator, I implemented a framework for NVQs in Care across three Counties and standardised training. I spent 8 years managing Care settings for adults with a learning disability before diversifying into self-employment. I spent 7 years as Co-Owner and Manager of a successful guest house in Filey with my husband before relocating to Grimsby and was proud to say it was number one on Trip Advisor for the last 4 years.
My guilty pleasure is travelling and cruising every year and spending time with my grown-up children.
I am really looking forward to the opportunity at Humberston House to build a wonderful community for our residents and their loved ones.'
