Both my parents developed dementia and refused proper care in their own home. A care home was the only option. We chose Hyllden Heights as it is near to our home, but it has been a great choice for other reasons too. The staff are really caring and genuinely take an interest in their residents and they work hard to keep residents well fed, clean and entertained. My mum passed away a few weeks ago and the staff have been so kind to me and to my dad who remains with them. I can rest easy knowing that Dad is surrounded by people who look after him.

Excellent care home that has supported my father for a number of years

High standards have been maintained throughout this time and the home still looks as good as new. More importantly the staff create a lovely atmosphere.

I am the older sister of a resident who has lived in the care home for approximately 18 months. I am not her next of kin - her youngest son is, and he has Power of Attorney and a close liaison with the staff. All the staff I have met are always polite and helpful. I visit once a week. My sister is always clean and well dressed, and the staff are really helpful and patient. The home is immaculate and well furnished. Medical or nursing staff available when required. A varied menu with plenty of choice. Good range of activities and facilities, cinema, hairdressers, etc. I am very pleased with her care, it compares well with other homes I have visited

Very quick healthcare response, and monitoring of my mum's condition which was then checked by the doctor and medication provided. The healthcare team provide a very personalised service, and take any issue seriously and promptly. Very happy with the care my mum receives.

My parents have resided in Hyllden Heights Care Home since March 2024. During that time, my wife and I have been thoroughly satisfied with the care. Many of the staff have gone the extra mile in each case to meet the individual needs of my parents. Certain staff members have built a strong connection with my parents, and this is commendable. Hyllden Heights competes with the best - both in Tonbridge and further afield in terms of decor, facilities and a caring and committed staff.

Generally excellent, but please note the following:
1. Food is repetitive and many times below expectations.
2. Excellent coffee machine replaced simply because it was a 'group/management' decision.

3. Despite many requests, I am not receiving all emails (being sent to my wife instead) - please update all systems to ensure I receive all emails.

I have had a very happy time with my experience. But there are still moments when I have to rethink. Most of the people here require specialist treatment including me. We manage to have the problem solved.

I have been a resident at Hyllden Heights Care Home for over two years now and I was aware from the beginning that it was, by far, the best Home I have been in .(I have been in three). At the end of October 2025 I had the misfortune to fall and break my femur. After the hip operation I was bed -bound and required to do excruciating exercises. The Carers and Activities staff rallied round to give me every assistance to get me back on my feet again. Part way through my recovery I got a severe lung infection and was on the point of losing the zest for living. (I should point out that I am 96 years old.)
The Unit Manager CJ gave me a severe lecture on how this attitude was unacceptable and immediately summoned medical assistance. I was constantly monitored and given the care and attention that left me humbled and eternally grateful.

I am now well on my way to recovery. The age-old advice"Love one another" sums up my feelings for the staff at Hyllden Heights.

My aunt moved to Hyllden Heights in January 2024 - she was 96 and rather frail after bouts of Covid followed by pneumonia. The care she received then and since has been wonderful, professional yet kind and understanding. Her room is very comfortable as are the lounge and the bistro where we can sit and have refreshments and a chat - the staff are always welcoming to visitors as well as caring towards residents.

My father moved into Hyllden Heights in March after a severe stroke. The care he received was amazing. From the minute he arrived he was treated with tremendous kindness, much dignity and great respect by all. He was there 3 months and the care he received was second to none. My mother joined him for respite care for a month and Dad passed away within the first week. Everyone was so kind, gentle and sensitive to mum and they have supported her so well. I honestly cannot recommend this home highly enough. I am so thankful that Dad was able to spend his last 3 months here and for the care and love he was shown from all. From the lovely, friendly and highly efficient welcoming team to the incredible team of carers and nursing staff that tended so lovingly to both Mum and Dad. Not forgetting other staff who looked after them so well too. I will always be so grateful to everyone for being there for us all at such a difficult time. Mum has now moved in and is being excellently care for too.

We are so delighted, and relieved too, that Mum's new home is at Hyllden Heights. It has the loveliest atmosphere, and such a strong management and team leaders who are regularly checking in with us that all is well. They respond to any feedback, the smallest thing that may matter to my mum, they want to know about and support. The staff, from the moment you are greeted at Reception and then within, the Care team, those in the kitchen/ restaurant, maintenance and management, are all feeling like an extension of family to us, and wearing so many smiles, that helps create the positive atmosphere for Residents and visitors too. It is a huge relief for me and indeed for Mum, that she feels just so settled and happy there, and that I know I can rely on her being kindly looked after, as well as being offered happy, interesting days, plus cuddles, which are good for the soul! Her room is also generously sized, as is the bed. Moving in was the best decision she and our family could have made.

My mother 89, decided that she couldn't live at home any longer due to falls. We found Hyllden Heights care home, it has just been open for 14 months and is beautifully decorated, they have really thought about what a modern care home facility should be like.
We have been delighted as a family with every member of staff we have met and the care they give the residents.
Mum has been living at Hyllden Heights for 3 months now and she is enjoying the in-house chefs' 3-course meals, the activities team is incredible, led by one staff member, and they are so interactive with all the residents.

The staff are so welcoming and professional every time we have visited the home, it always has a real positive buzz about it from the bistro hub meeting area for drinks and cakes, the lovely outdoor patio seating space, the beautiful bedrooms, cinema room, the trips out in the minibus. We would highly recommend Hyllden Heights by Oakland Care.

Although I have been an acute trauma and orthopaedic nurse of 47 years in the RAF and NHS, I made the voluntary transition into the care sector seven years ago following a short career break when my father became unwell. This has been a very rewarding career move, resulting in me taking on the General Manager role at Hyllden Heights in March 2025. Our assurance to you is that the team at Hyllden Heights will always put the resident central to everything we do. Our ethos and core values are care, standards, respect and mindfulness, but more than anything, we are family.

I joined Oakland Care in October 2019 at our Lambwood Heights Care Home in Chigwell and have since gone from strength to strength. I have over seven years of experience working in the Social Care sector, previously as a Paramedic Nurse in my home country of Romania. I am passionate about working in Social Care as it allows me to ensure our residents are safe, and cared for and all their care and clinical needs are met. I also enjoy the interaction with our residents and relatives on a daily basis. I am passionate about my work as I can help people in need to live a happy, safe and independent life where everyone is treated individually, and their quality of life is maintained. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, and football, socialising, visiting new places and discovering new cultures around the world.

I am delighted to have joined the Oakland Care family as Senior Client Relations Manager for Hyllden Heights. My experience in the role goes back 11 years now, including the commissioning of a new care home. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than assisting families to explore full-time care options, whilst sharing insights during what is often a stressful time for them. Outside of work, my biggest passion has always been travel, which hopefully will become easier again in the fullness of time!

After working in retail for six and a half years to ensure I was around to raise my two girls, it was time to change and start a new career for myself. I moved to the care sector, and in the few short weeks I have been here, I realise maybe I should have moved a lot sooner, as this, apart from having my girls, is probably the most rewarding thing I've done. Ensuring the residents have a smile on their faces makes my day. When I joined Oakland Care, I was instantly welcomed into the family, and I love coming to work every day. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and going on holidays.
