Ivy Court

I find Ivy Court a very pleasant well-run care home, all the staff are very nice and approachable. All good.

The manager at Ivy Court is relatively new and appears to be doing a fabulous job here. Right from the start she's been approachable, honest, friendly and a very genuine person. We have also found everyone working there, to be very friendly and welcoming.

His teeth have still not been found! My dad has since told us that obviously he is struggling to eat, and he has mentioned that sometimes when it comes to his breakfast, the porridge has run out, which he can eat, but then he has to try eating toast or cornflakes! My dad is already underweight, and we, the family, feel he is now not eating properly due to this problem. We have mentioned this a fair few times now, but are not sure what to do next. We are fairly pleased with his care overall, but it's quite early days on his progress, and we find the care staff kind and helpful.

The Deputy Manager was so rude, finger-pointing, voice louder than normal talking, and not an ounce of respect. I can go on and on its not right to be treated like this, a very cold person. It happened on Monday 20th February 2024.

Absolutely brilliant level of care! Friendly welcoming staff and a beautifully kept building always clean whenever I visit, my aunty is doing activities and outings and loves them. Thank you to all the staff that are involved we really appreciate all your hard work.

I work abroad so it is difficult to visit my parent. I understand that management has been informed and so I hope it is being dealt with before someone is injured. Also, there are other violent/disruptive residents that need segregating.

My friend had a large well-equipped room, with a large ensuite wetroom.

We are so grateful for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Mum. The staff respected her dignity and her fierce independence so that she ended her life in the way she would have wanted. It was reassuring, as we lived so far away, when she said 'I am happy here, don't worry about me, they can't do enough for me, get on with your lives'.

My mum's friend has recently just joined Ivy Court and this home is just fabulous, the staff really get stuck in and will help to do anything. The new manager has a great approach and really sits and listens and understands the residents. I highly recommend Ivy Court if you're thinking of a care home for a loved one.

The staff are all so loving and caring and someone is always just a call away. Mum is now settled and everyone is her new friend. Thank you Ivy Court.

Our family got permission for a mobile phone for her room so we can talk to her directly and she always tells us how well the staff are looking after her. Thank you everyone.

I have always found the staff and managers very professional at all times, they make everything run as smoothly as possible. They are always doing things, such as at Christmas, always promoting everybody's well-being. I wish to say that they always do whatever they can, any issues that arise they do their absolute best to resolve them. I wish to say that, as someone who has worked in homes in the past, that they are simply the best, five-star at all times.

Always found the staff very helpful, caring and very cheerful. The facilities and the rooms are excellent and the environment is well-decorated and very comfortable and very spacious. Ivy Court looks after my mother very well. She is settled and happy. It was the best move for my mother. Thank you to everyone at Ivy Court.

My grandad is currently staying at Ivy Court. The staff are friendly, kind and approachable. The well-being lead and another member of staff are amazing with the residents, the deputy is a godsend and is amazing at her role within Ivy Court. Thank you to all that care for my grandad daily, it is really appreciated.

My nannan has been living at Ivy Court now for eight months and every time I visit she tells me how amazing the home is, she always informs what activities they do in the home, especially when they do singing, she loves to sing songs. I met with the new manager last week and was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had.

This is the second time that our relative has had a short stay at Ivy Court, and we are all so happy with our experience. Ivy Court is an absolute lifeline for us - our relative lives in the North East, but whenever she needs a short holiday or there is a family occasion in Doncaster, Ivy Court has provided a safe and lovely place for our disabled relative to stay. The rooms are beautiful, the facilities wonderful, and all of the care staff have been amazing. Our relative felt very safe and comfortable at Ivy Court, and we hope that there will be availability whenever we need it in the future. Thank you so much!

The staff are caring and friendly and made Mum feel at ease immediately, so much so that we are in the process of making this her permanent home.

I was so nervous about putting my mum in respite so I could have a carefree holiday, my mum loved it and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was reassured that she would be well cared for, even texted me on holiday to let me know she had settled in alright. I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s such a happy place and it’s so obvious they care about their patients and their needs. I feel completely confident that should I need their support again I wouldn’t hesitate to ask them for any respite I might need. Thank you all so much.
