Mum said that the home was the nicest place she had been and said she would like to return when I go on holiday again.
Mum was treated with respect and dignity. Food was amazingly good.
The only negative point was that Mum's clean washing had an aroma of stale urine - this smell was also present in the corridor.

I had to rewash all her clothes when she came home.

Hello.

So glad your mother was happy with her stay at Kings Lodge. We have since then had a deep clean of the corridors and all bedrooms and you will find the smell is now gone. We look forward to having her back next time.

I booked my mother into Kings Lodge as I looked around other residential care homes and this one looked beautiful. Our son was married in Bali in August as he lives in Australia and all the family from the UK and the rest came from Australia. I felt that Kings Lodge came out best for my mother to respite with lots of care. The staff were very, very friendly and my mother didn't have a bad word against them, she was treated beautifully and I wouldn't hesitate in booking her in there again.

It's a home from home but with utter luxury! My mother is extremely happy and contented. It's like staying in a boutique hotel but with all the care needed for each individual. All of the staff are personable, lovable and available to chat, whilst continuing with their work. They are all to be highly commended - always going the extra mile.

On bringing my father-in-law to view the home, the staff were very friendly and helpful. He has now been in respite care for nearly 4 weeks. The staff have been very supportive and he has settled in very well. He speaks highly of the staff and the facilities he has used. The food is very good and there is plenty to choose from.

Overall Experience

My parents moved into Kings Lodge just over 6 months ago and we have never once regretted moving them there. Previously, they were with an alternative high profile provider for a year and a half, who we had gradually become disillusioned with. Tragically, my mother passed away earlier this month and I have to say that the compassion shown by everyone at Kings Lodge has amazed us all. The support has been so much appreciated and, my father, who is now on his own, has been very carefully cared for and watched as he comes to terms with what has happened. Unreservedly, I would recommend this kind and loving place if you are considering a care home in this area.

My Mother had a short respite stay at Kings Lodge in Camberley, I cannot praise the staff enough, they were all very professional, friendly, caring and treated my Mother with dignity and respect. She had a beautiful room, and really enjoyed the lovely food, she said it was like staying at a 5-star luxury hotel.

My Mother has had several respite stays at care homes and Kings Lodge is excellent and comes top of the list, l would not hesitate in recommending Kings Lodge to anyone who is considering a care home for themselves or a member of their family.

My mother stayed at Kings Lodge for respite care, it was her first time away from home since being diagnosed with Dementia. After a nervous beginning, the welcoming staff helped her to adjust to her new surroundings, it being very strange to her.

She was soon joining in with the other guests and daily activities, also enjoying the food and her accommodation. During her short stay, she was also treated to a trip into town where they visited the centre and had a coffee. When we went to collect her she was sorry to leave and said she would miss the people and all the staff. She has mentioned enjoying her stay on several occasions since returning home.

Overall Experience

My mother has been in the home for ten days and settled in really well. I am just thrilled with the standard of the care and facilities offered to her. The staff are wonderful and exceptionally caring and treat all the residents with respect and dignity. There are two activities a day so they are kept occupied and the standard of the rooms are exceptional. It has made such a huge difference to my life knowing that she is settled, happy, has outstanding care and has company.

I visited many residential homes before choosing this one and am so delighted at the decision I made as I consider I could not have made a better choice. Knowing that she is happy and enjoying her new environment is so important as it's a life choice that you never think you will have to make for a loved one.

The facilities are outstanding, with its own cinema and hairdressing salon, craft room and a lovely environment to spend the latter part of your life in.

From the moment I walked through the door to make enquiries for my mum, the service has been first class, from the director of services to all the care assistants. The care my mum receives is second to none, she is so happy. A perfect place to spend the remaining years of her wonderful life.

What do I love about my role? That feeling of knowing that no matter how large or small, you’ve made someone’s day. Both of my roles are varied which I enjoy. I love the administrative areas and client liaison with relatives, however I just adore spending time doing activities. I enjoy being creative and implementing activities that take the residents back to a personal memory. Shop! It gives me great please in just making someone happy and laughing.

Favourite Activity – I’m clearly a repressed Barber! I created this activity and love to “dress the scene” and set the mood. “The Blind Barber” was so popular that the gentleman want it to feature every week. I enjoy it so much and feel I missed my vocation in life!

I also get great pleasure in taking the residents for a walk or push to see my horses. They often come to visit here too.

I’m a qualified Art Restored & Art Consultant and ran my own business for 5 Years and managed a Gallery for 15 years.

Keen Equestrian & have two horses who are located next door so I love to take the residents to visit them. Being outside and keeping active is an absolute passion with rugby and golf leading as some of my favourite sports!
