I love that when visiting my mum, we are welcomed into the homely reception area. Since Mum arrived around six months ago, I have gradually seen her more settled and relaxed, and so lovely seeing her engaged with activities, especially with her best friend Helen. Majority of the staff are amazing, and go out of their way with caring for Mum.

What impresses me most about the Wimbledon Common Care Home is the welcome one receives from the charming ladies on reception, plus the fact that so many of the staff are the same as when Andrew first became a resident over 2 years ago.

We are so happy our mother is here at Wimbledon Avery. The care & staff are exemplary. The atmosphere is very happy. And our mother is very content and well cared for. I can't say enough good things about Avery.

lovely Home, Staff alway Smiling & Kind. The place is spotless, patients look clean & Tidy. Food & Food Hall, is Clean, and food is Very Nutritious, with a good menu to choose from. Rooms are clean & Spacious. There are lots of activities for the patients to attend. Overall the Home is excellent, Its like one big family, you get to know everyone here.

For approaching 3 years my mum has been cared for lovingly by the staff at Wimbledon Common Care Home. Without exception, the staff have respected and been kind to Mum. They have listened when we have spoken to them and adapted to Mum's changing needs. At every visit Mum has greeted me with a smile. She is happy. That says all that is necessary xx

My sister and I are extremely grateful to Avery Wimbledon Common for looking after our mum. She has Alzheimer's and the transition into the home as a resident was an extremely challenging adjustment. They took great care and patience in supporting her, persisting with her difficult behaviour, and over time she transformed into a completely different person embracing all the support and activities that were provided to help her. We are so grateful for their kindness and can't thank them enough for navigating this illness with us.

My mum has stayed at Wimbledon Common Care Home a few times for respite care and more recently as a short term resident. She is in her 80s and only speaks Portuguese, fortunately there are a few members of staff which speak the language so it was a relieve when I needed to leave my mum , that she could communicate with members of the team and would not feel isolated.

The facilities and care / support staff at the home are excellent. The team are always so welcoming and kind to my mum and a lot of the staff remember her name from previous stays, which immediately makes her feel relaxed and happy when she starts her stay. I always ask my mum whether she's enjoying herself and whether she being cared for, she always says yes. Actually, when I collected her on her last stay in March, she wanted to know when she would be coming back. I always feel my mum is in good hands when she stays at Wimbledon, and it would always be my first choice for my mum when I need a care home for her.

Mum really enjoyed her stay! It was daunting for her to leave home for respite but the staff were so kind and welcoming, she really flourished. Everyone took such care to make her feel comfortable and meet her needs. She enjoyed the company and the activities (particularly the daily arm chair exercises) which did her the world of good. She'll be back for sure. Thank you team!

Leaving a loved one in a home is a difficult decision. But when this home is clean, bright and welcoming it is a little easier. I was impressed by the genuine warm welcome of the staff always willing to help. This home is well organised, adequately staffed by genuine carers who do not look stressed, and care for the residents always with a smile, encouraging support and kindness. It makes one feel good and inspired to leave their relative in a decent place - a home from home. Even the residents, despite whatever is wrong with them, look contented. It has surely taken a lot of effort to give this level of care. Thank you all!

My mother stayed here for 6 years. The last few years in the dementia floor. It has seen many changes during this time. Signature owned it initially and now Avery. My mum has always been happy here. In the last few months she has needed needed intensive care and then comfort care before she passed. In the latter period I was visiting daily and watched the love and affection demonstrated by the staff. It made this period so much easier for me and my family to cope. I would happily recommend this home.

My husband suffers from Parkinson's and Lewy Body dementia. The care he receives at the Wimbledon Common Care Home is absolutely wonderful in every way. Everybody is so patient and kind, and nothing is too much trouble.

A pity, because most other elements of the home were brilliant.

My mother spent her last two and a half years in Wimbledon Common Care home. All measurable things: cleanliness, food, facilities are excellent. But most outstanding and far more important is the quality of the staff. Everyone I met was kind, cheerful and concerned to be doing the best for my mother. I find this so impressive given the difficult nature of their work at times. All such problems were met with enormous good humour, which served to cheer me up on occasion. I know that my mother felt safe and happy in this home, which is not easy when you have to give up your own home and independence. When she needed to see a doctor this was easily manageable and she also had dental work done on site. The reception staff are also delightful and Hannah is a friendly and approachable manager. I remain delighted with our choice.

I have been delighted by how well my mum has settled in at Wimbledon Common Care Home. She is most comfortable in her own spacious bedroom with a well equipped en-suite and she enjoys spending time in the communal areas which are always immaculate and beautiful decorated at commemorative times of the year. A varied programme of activities has been provided and my mum has had many chances to enjoy interesting trips outside the care home.

My mother has been a resident of Wimbledon Common Care Home - Avery Collection since September 2022. My mother receives very good care. She always gets a very warm and cheery welcome from all members of staff. All the staff are extremely professional, courteous and caring. I can see that they work together to make a happy, caring and safe environment for the residents that is also respectful. The activities are superb, recently I attended a very beautiful and moving Remembrance Day ceremony for the residents in the reception. I'm very glad that my mother is taken care of so well. Thank you to all staff.

I chose Wimbledon Common Care Home because of its proximity, newness and facilities but what I could not have known was how special the people are who cared for my mom. They went above and beyond and shown my mum love, compassion, respect and dignity at every step. One of my friend's Mum has already moved here on my recommendation and could not be happier. The team will look after your loved one as if they were their own.

Came here for a week's respite. My first experience with a care home and I was pleasantly surprised. Wimbledon Common Care Home is bright and cheerful, small enough to feel quite intimate. Permanent residents in spite of their various conditions look resigned and content and some are even welcoming to new residents like myself. The routine works well, the activities are enthusiastically organised, the staff are attentive and friendly and the food is excellent.

Excellent, the staff are incredible. Full of laughter, energetic, conscientious, highly trained, super caring and wonderfully friendly. The management team are incredible, both at running such a professional home and springing into action at times of crisis. The food is excellent, amazed by the presentation, very impressive.
