Excellent and kindly staff. Good food and activities. Very comfortable, safe rooms. Occasional delays at meal times, some dishes prepared to odd recipes e.g. 'Parma ham and melon' - the ham must be cold as it came from Parma - here it was cooked. 'Crepes Suzette' made with cold factory prepared stodge - not real warm pancakes. But choice and range of food is excellent overall.

A close friend suggested I visit Kingsmere with a view to getting respite care for my aunt. I had concerns about taking a holiday as my aunt needs care. I was delighted with the staff and facilities at Kingsmere and any concerns I had were put to rest. My aunt had a great three weeks and made some lovely friends. I would have no hesitation recommending Kingsmere and I would definitely look for a respite again with you and maybe on a more permanent basis. Thank you, everyone, at Kingsmere.

Trying to care for my husband had got a little hard, due to a heart attack 10 weeks ago things started to get really hard for me. Now my husband is home from hospital. I have been here at Kingsmere since 6/2/17 until 13/2/17. I had a lovely cake made for me on the 8th of February, my grandchildren were here. I have been so well looked after. Nice food, loads to go, lots of fun. Staff can't do enough. I have found all the residents very friendly.

Overall Experience

My father was suddenly in a situation where he couldn't cope at home and needed respite. Kingsmere and the staff were exceptional. They understood our problem and facilitated our need for a speedy solution. Not only did they care for my Father but they were very supportive of my situation and gave me the upmost confidence and support. The home doesn't feel like a care home, it has incredible facilities and feels like a top class hotel. I would highly recommend it for either respite or long term.
