The purpose-built Martlet Manor care home offers permanent and respite residential and dementia care for older people in luxurious surroundings. They also offer compassionate end of life care.

Located in Haywards Heath, the home supports residents to lead an independent and fulfilling life. All care is tailored to each resident's individual needs and lifestyle choices.

The home offers residents comfortable living as well as a fulfilling lifestyle through its own café, hair and beauty salon, cinema and beautiful gardens. All bedrooms have their own en-suite wet room, and are fully furnished and decorated to a high standard.

Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Martlet Manor go above and beyond in ensuring that my Mother, who has dementia, is safe and beautifully cared for. Nothing is too much trouble, be it getting her a specially prepared meal if she doesn’t fancy what’s on the menu, to letting her have two baths a day, because she wants to. My Mother, and
I, are treated with respect, dignity and the safeguarding in place is second to none. If I had to go into a permanent care home, I’d be clamouring to get into Martlet Manor. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re made to feel like the most important person and nothing you ask for or expect will be a pain. My Mother calls Martlet Manor “home”. That says it all to me. Thank you to every staff member and personnel for making my Mother’s life so smooth and gentle in her fragile state. I’m in your debt. My Mother is safe and that means everything to me.

We have recently moved both our parents into Martlet Manor. A very emotional time for us all but one which has been made so much easier with the kind and caring attitude of the staff. No question big or small has been ignored with particular thanks to the customer care manager, being so kind and patient
and spending a great deal of time on the phone helping us with our concerns and settling mum and dad.
We are so impressed with the energy and care the staff put into making sure all residents are happy and settled. The staff know all the residents names and greet everyone with a smile. Nothing is too much bother.
Mum has been really enjoying all the activities and loving cinema night on a Friday evening. They both enjoy sitting in the sunshine on the patio with their sun hats on enjoying a cup of tea and cake as if they are on holiday!
Our family is so grateful to have found such a wonderful care home and feel very fortunate that our parents are in such safe hands.

Excellent facilities, food and staff. Everyone from housekeeping to the chef goes above and beyond to make the residents and their relatives feel at home. The home is spotless, secure and the residents seem to enjoy themselves!

My 97-year-old father moved into Martlet Manor Care Home recently, after looking at a number of care homes Martlet Manor was our choice and we have not been disappointed.
The staff are caring and, most importantly, know all the residents' names, always friendly and caring.
My father thinks he is in
a five-star hotel, he enjoys the choice of food and the activities that are organised regularly plus the addition of outside visits.
We thoroughly recommend this care home.

My mother moved into Martlet Manor in the 2nd quarter of 2022. It was her decision to leave her home of 40 years and move to a care home chosen by her children. Apart from the first two days, when she was slightly confused by the change, she has been blissfully happy ever since.
She is extremely comfortable
and very well looked after. She loves her garden-facing room and participates in most of the activities on offer. As one of her children, it is a delight to see her so happy, and we all appreciate the level of care that is provided. The staff are always cheerful, welcoming, helpful, and prompt to respond.

My mother has been in the care of Martlet Manor for the past year and is extremely happy in the home. Having taken the difficult decision to move her from her own home into a care home that looks after dementia patients, I am really pleased with the care that she receives from the lovely and very caring
carers at Martlet Manor. There are activities that stimulate her and make her happy and the support of all the staff is excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

I find the staff very friendly and helpful. My Mum engages and interacts well with the carers and the management and the clinical staff. When I visit we often sit in the cafe or outside in the lovely gardens. My mum likes the homeliness of Martlet Manor, very comfortable and clean. She enjoyed the activities
of the Jubilee weekend. A very recommendable care home.

Job Title: Home Manager

I’ve worked in care for nearly two decades. I started out as a Care Assistant, but have been in management roles for nearly ten years. I joined Care UK because I was keen to find a new challenge. I’d been hearing a lot about the company, and I liked the look and feel of the home when I first looked around.


In my role, it’s important to listen to and support your team, residents and family members. You need to be proactive and think outside the box. I enjoy helping the team to progress in their careers while ensuring that they’re delivering the best quality care. Above all, I believe that Marlet Manor is going great things and has huge potential thanks to our brilliant, hard-working team.
