Very nice staff and venue.

As a family we felt our Father was in a safe and secure place which gave us a lot of reassurance and greatly reduced the concerns we had relating to the welfare and care of our Father.

My mum recently stayed for a 10-day respite stay, and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. She was extremely well looked after, and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff.

She felt comfortable, happy and very well cared for throughout her stay. In fact, she enjoyed it so much that she is already looking forward to coming back!

A huge thank you to all the staff for making her stay such a wonderful experience. Your kindness, care and support meant so much to both Mum and our family.

My mother spent the last four and a half years of her life at Mistley Manor. This care home is a very special place with staff going the extra mile to ensure residents are treated with respect and that they enjoy their days here not just left sitting in their room. The activities and garden area made it an enriching experience for mum with regular trips out. Towards the end of my mums life the assistance she had with eating and ensuring she enjoyed her food was essential in maintaining her health until her last days. Coming from a house to a care home is a daunting experience but Mistley Manor manage that so well so that this place becomes their home not just a facility of last resort. I cannot praise them enough.

The room was adequate and the food appalling but some of the staff were great. So overall very average experience and we won't be recommending or staying again.

We arranged a short respite stay for mum after our Dad had to go into hospital. Mistley Manor team could not have been more accommodating, organising an assessment call quickly and allowing mum to check in at the weekend which I understood was not necessarily usual. Every member of staff was kind and helpful and the room my mum had was very comfortable and spacious. My mum has early stage Alzheimer's but enjoyed socialising in the restaurant and even a morning shopping and coffee trip. She said she would be very happy to return. Peace of mind, comfortable and spotless accommodation, kind and warm (but not patronising) staff - very happy with our first experience here.

I resided at the above care home post-triple bypass surgery for a two-week convalescence stay. Despite being significantly younger than the average care home resident at 63, the staff made me more than welcome, and provided every assistance to ensure I benefited from my initial post op recovery stage, whilst residing at the home. Facilities, management, catering, care provided, cleanliness etc were all fantastic, and my visit was more akin to staying at an upmarket hotel. Just what was needed in the circumstances.

My mother had the best care possible at Mistley Manor everyone there was so kind and caring to my mum and myself at what was a very difficult time. But managers administrstors senior nurses carers catering staff activity workers cleaners hairdressers and laundry staff (I hope i haven't forgotten anyone) rallied round helping not only mum but supporting me to and for that i can't praise them enough.

My Mum stayed for a weeks respite. All staff were kind, caring and went out of their way to make her feel comfortable and cared for. They took time to find out about her individual needs and made efforts to meet those needs.

My father had a respite stay for a couple of weeks whilst I was on holiday. Could not fault the home in any way. The initial and subsequent contacts with manager Joe were all really supportive, demonstrating insight and empathy into making sure the stay was a positive experience for my father and the family. My father thoroughly enjoyed the food and appreciated the kindness and help from the carers. The home is spotlessly clean and really well maintained. No hesitation in recommending. There was a full timetable of activities but my father chose to observe rather than engage!

From first contact by telephone the staff at Mistley Manor were extremely helpful and professional. They made sure that mum was warmly welcomed and all her needs were taken care of. The room was perfect and allowed the family to spend precious time with her. All members of staff were friendly and efficient in co ordinating with external nurses to organise mums end of life care. Mum only managed a few mouthfuls of fish pie but said it was the best she had ever tasted. Would highly recommend Mistley Manor - it's a beautiful place with first class staff and facilities and touching aftercare. Thanks for everything .

A very warm, welcoming and friendly home. Carers are excellent - friendly and caring towards their clients. A high standard of attention to detail - pick up on issues that need dealing with. District nurse and doctor referred when slight problem occured. M.Manor is like and operates like a home not an institution. It's the best I could hope for.

Apart from some crossed wires when my 94-year old mother had to go back into hospital, Mistley Manor, with its friendly and dedicated staff, has been a tonic for her. She was in poor condition after suffering a nasty fall at home last July in which she sustained a sub-dural haematoma. But the improvement she has made these past two months has been little short of a miracle - a testament to her cussedness and Mistley Manor's caring touch. Before her fall Mum was fiercely independent and living at home. Initially, she pined for her old life (all but impossible due to her new infirmities), but so positive has her experience of Mistley M been that it's not been mentioned in a while. And that is due simply to the excellence of the place and its staff.

I can't say enough in praise of Mistley Manor. Mum has been at Mistley for 3 plus years now and I have never ever doubted that it was the best place for her care. The whole process from the selection period, settling in and now long term care has been sensitively managed. All the staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The family run business brings a 'family' feel to the whole environment. There is so much to do at Mistley Manor! There is always an activity of some sort both morning and afternoon, 7 days a week. They often have visits out to nearby places of interest too! Meal times are organised like it is the dining room at a fancy hotel with tables set out and the food is excellently prepared. I always feel that mum is being well looked after and I am comforted by the knowledge that she is safe at all times.

Mistley Manor was fantastic from the moment we contacted the reception to enquire, through to admission of our Dad. The rooms are exceptional and a really good size. We visited 3 other homes in the area - Mistley Manor is just a huge step above all of them. Staff all excellent. Unbeatable

My Mother was absolutely delighted with the care she received at Mistley Manor. Not only are the facilities wonderful but so were the staff that looked after her, all of them. They were all professional, cheerful, helpful and went out of their way to meet her needs. She has been there twice for respite care and I think actually looks forward to visiting. My family couldn't recommend them enough, fantastic.

Ellen has had three stays with Mistley Manor. Two were short stays and one a little longer when I was in Hospital last year. She was well looked after on all occasions. The staff are all friendly and some remember Ellen from her previous stays. Stephanie was also helpful in arranging the dates.

The home does everything well. It's a lovely place with great staff. The greatest care is taken with my mother, and therefore, I have peace of mind. Mum is very happy, and all the residents are when I visit.

Very satisfied with the effort of the team to provide support in all areas. There's individuals who go well beyond what might be expected. We look forward to visiting and hearing about activities in support.
