Mount View House provides a supported living service for adults with autism in the picturesque village of Syke in Greater Manchester. It is close to local amenities and well-connected, with easy access to the main bus routes, train station and motorways. Support is provided for those over the age of 18 but Mount View House can also accommodate 17-year-olds who are making the transition from Children’s Services.
Mount View House offers a range of en-suite bedrooms and self-contained apartments and there are spacious lounge areas and attractive, secure grounds. The environment is low stimulus and relaxed, while interaction and communication is strongly encouraged. People using the service receive innovative support programmes and one-to-one support as required but they are also encouraged to develop independence and self-sufficiency.
The staff team is experienced in providing support for people with autism and behaviour that challenges, and residents also have access to specialist healthcare professionals.
