My mum has been in Northcare Stirling for a few weeks now. She was diagnosed with vascular dementia. The care she has received has been outstanding. I can now relax knowing my mum is receiving the best care possible. The staff are so friendly and the way they treat my mum is first class. Special mention
to the managers who made the move so easy. Their attention to detail was excellent. Also the nurses, care staff, and everyone in Wallace Suite in the way they care for my mum and treat her with dignity, my mum has already said they are like her 2nd family. The facilities are tremendous, we regularly go up to the brasserie for afternoon tea as a family. The staff there are brilliant. Rooms are very clean and spacious. There are daily activities, my mum really enjoys the singers. This care home has exceeded all our expectations.

My father moved into Northcare Residences, Stirling following a terminal cancer diagnosis. The management at Northcare moved very quickly so that Dad could spend his final few weeks in a far more pleasant environment than a hospital ward. Northcare is unlike any other nursing care establishment I
have ever seen. It fully justifies the word "Residences" in its title. The accommodation in both public areas and bedroom suites is first class. All the staff made Dad and the family feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, including meeting complex dietary requirements. The quality of nursing care was exceptional in rapidly changing circumstances. It was a great comfort to see the expert palliative care given to Dad and the respect and dignity with which he was afforded at all times. I was also supported and kept informed during my visits and by telephone. I highly recommend Northcare Residences Stirling.
Reply from Angela Reid, Front of House Manager at Northcare Residences StirlingThank you so much for sharing your heartfelt experience with us. It means a lot to hear that the attention to detail, respect, and dignity provided by our staff have made such a positive impact during what must have been a difficult time. We're also glad that our communication and responsiveness to your father's needs were reassuring to you. Your kind words about our team, from management to our care staff, are truly appreciated.

From the first decision to visit, where front of house and the initial move were smooth and swift, to the ongoing exceptional care for us as a family, and for Mum, we are so very pleased we found Northcare in Stirling. Mum has advanced mixed dementia and is in the specialist dementia wing. It makes
an enormous difference having a team who "get" dementia. The care the team take of her is very good. The person centred care is excellent. The setting is like a hotel in quality. The brasserie to take Mum up for a coffee/ tea and cake is very useful as Mum feels she has gone out. And she loves the cakes! Mum has been in Northcare for 7 weeks and she has , at last, been putting on a little weight as she is being well looked after. Thanks to the whole team.
Reply from Angela Reid, Front of House Manager at Northcare Residences StirlingThank you so much for your review and kind words, I will pass on your comments to the whole team - feedback like this means so much to us! I'm really pleased to hear that you're happy with how mum is being cared for and that you have been able to enjoy the Brasserie facilities and our home baking.

Northcare in Stirling is an excellent and modern home. The furnishings and surroundings are of 5 star quality. Staff are excellent and could not be more helpful. They have helped my friend settle in which took a while as he very anxious in leaving his home due to his need for 24 hour nursing care. The
staff are very helpful at all times and care for all his needs. Would definitely recommend this care home and all their e collect staff.

Our Mum has been living in Northcare for a year now. After a hard few years it has been transformative for us to know she is safe, and warmly cared for, 24 hours a day.
The facilities are obviously amazing but more than that I can't praise the staff enough - their kindness, patience and professionalism
has been outstanding from day one, across every team.
Our thanks to every single one of the individuals who make our Mum's life as easy, safe and happy as it can be.

We have just placed our mum here. We used this site to help us pick the best care home so wanted to write a review to help others. First of all you have to visit multiple care homes to make a judgement and when you do that you will see that Northcare Residences is head and shoulders above the rest.
Care homes are expensive but at least here you can see and feel where the money is being spent. It's very much 5* All inclusive. Everything is to the highest standard from the furnishings and activities on offer to each member of staff. This is reflected in their Care Inspectorate reports too so not just our opinion. The welcome we received from the management, nursing staff, care assistants and hospitality team have been exemplary. They have all been friendly, professional and kind. We dreaded this time in mums dementia journey but that has been completely turned around and we are excited for her to make new friends and have new experiences that will definitely enrich her life. Brilliant x

My mum moved into Northcare 2 months ago and has received excellent care. All the staff without exception have been so kind and helpful. She settled in well and the staff have encouraged her to get involved in all the home has to offer which has really helped with her rehabilitation after a fall.
We
feel very lucky that this facility was available to her when she needed care and gives all of our family peace of mind that she is being well looked after.

Northcare Residences have been brilliant for my brother who is just 66 and lives with Frontal Temporal Dementia. I am his only relative and cared for him as best as I could, getting in social care etc too his home or should I say house. He was lonely and depressed as he became more insular and less
mobile. I moved him into Northcare in September 2024 and it has been a joy from the beginning. From a lovely room, which I have personalised, great food, social spaces such as the brasserie and bar, cinema and hairdresser. He is happy and settled there. The staff are lovely and make sure he is always ok, checking regularly and chatting, a cheery wave which he loves as well as the necessary nursing skills that they need to have. They are all lovely. The activities are all well planned and interesting. They all communicate regularly. I am so much more relaxed knowing he is so well looked after. It is absolutely worth the slightly higher fees for the 5 star accommodation, food and drink and staff.

My Mum, age 94, went into Northcare in Stirling for a respite week at the end of November. She was very apprehensive at the thought of going into care but once she had unpacked and settled in, she was extremely happy and relaxed. The staff really did make her feel safe, secure and most welcome.
The
week passed by very quickly, Mum was so at home at Northcare, praising the staff who were very attentive, she enjoyed all the delicious food also. Meeting other people too really did give my Mum a much-needed lift. She didn't read any of her books at the care home as she just didn't have time, too busy chatting to the other residents, having her hair done at the in-house salon or attending a good movie on the top floor cinema.
When the day came to leave my mother was a bit sad to say farewell, I think she will definitely be back!
A beautiful flower arrangement was also kindly given to her on departure, a lovely gesture.
Thank you Team Northcare for taking such good care of my mum.
Reply from Angela Reid, Front of House Manager at Northcare Residences StirlingThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. My father moved into Northcare in Stirling in October 2023 and still lives there. The facilities and food are top-notch. I can't speak highly enough about the staff there. The general manager and front of house manager have always been extremely helpful and attentive to my requests. The nursing team
led by two particular members of staff has been first class and, again, I am very thankful for all the care and affection they have provided to my dad, spending one one-on-one time with him, ensuring he gets involved in social activities, getting him to laugh and smile despite his dementia, hearing difficulties and immobility challenges. Two particular staff members in the hospitality team always ensure my father always enjoys his time there. I live overseas so it was particularly important to find a home where I could safely entrust the staff to take good care of him. Northcare have exceeded my expectations. They have been truly brilliant with my dad and I will be forever grateful.

My Dad has been living at Northcare in Stirling for almost 6 months now. We were reluctant as a family having to place him in long-term care, however, it's been the best decision for all of us.
My dad has thrived in his time there and he's genuinely happy to be living in such a well-run facility.
All staff members are professional and show real compassion and pride in their work. It's such a weight off all of our minds knowing he's being taken care of by staff there. It's a pleasure to visit him and I could not recommend this place any higher.

Having made the hard decision for Mum to go into a care home, Northcare have treated both Mum and my family with respect and care that goes far beyond our expectations. Every one of the members of staff are friendly and go out of their way to ensure that the residents are comfortable and well looked
after. The activity programme is great with plenty of fitness classes to ensure movement, family events organised regularly are lovely with super catering and entertainment and when visiting always offered a cuppa and cake. Communication is excellent from the ladies on the front desk, staff up on the floors and management. Mum has been at Northcare for 10 months and we have seen a huge positive change in her mental health, she joins in the activities and know it was the right choice to move her to Northcare for a much better quality of life. The Northcare team feel like an extended family and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is facing the difficult decision.

My mum has been a resident of Northcare since December 2023 and has been supported to settle in beautifully. The staff are caring and friendly and are excellent at communicating with family about all aspects of Mum's day-to-day. The building is kept immaculate in all areas and the services provided
are second to none. Coffee and freshly made cakes are offered to visitors at all times of day and family lunches or afternoon teas are easily arranged in the private dining room or cocktail lounge. Regular entertainment is provided for residents, from pony visits, singalongs, keep fit to lectures and arts and crafts classes to name a few. Events for families to attend are organised too which are very well organised and beautifully catered. From being an eventuality that we dreaded as a family, the knowledge that Mum is in such good hands is an enormous comfort to us. I can't praise Northcare highly enough.
