Northcare Residences Stirling

This care home is just THE absolute BEST care home there is especially in the Stirling area. Myself and my Brother looked around various care homes for my Mum and none came up to this North Care care home's level of exceptional care. They are all friendly staff and dependable. My Mum, despite having Vascular Dementia, is very very happy there and is totally well looked after so we as her children are very pleased as not an easy job I'm sure. Both reception staff and the manager Robert are lovely, amazing and friendly staff too.

Cannot recommend this home enough, from the minute you walk through the door there is a calm relaxing ambience and welcoming environment. All the staff are friendly and attentive with nothing too much trouble to them. Mum has settled in beautifully and it really is a home from home environment where her comfort and care is the staffs priority and always at the forefront of their minds. We are indebted to the staff for the kindness and dignity shown in looking after mum and the encouragement and assistance given particularly at mealtimes with exceptional standards of food provided. We are indebted to everyone for making our daily visits and time spent with mum special and memorable in all ways.

We are extremely grateful for the care, professionalism and kindness shown to mum and highly recommend this care home.

Northcare staff facilitated a cinema experience afternoon to allow us to have more family time for what is our relatives first Christmas there. Angela couldn't have been more helpful in the organising process and communication was excellent as always. The staff provided cinema snacks and treats along with mince pies and coffee for afterwards. They even supplied our fussy 7 year old with his favourite caramel shortbread. This allowed us to let the kids stay and spend more time with loved ones without worrying about them distracting other residents (Xmas is a very excitable time). The care and compassion shown by all staff for our family member puts our minds at ease that she's safe and well supported.

All the staff are very friendly and pleasant as well being helpful and they always talk to you no matter who you are.

To sum up, at the end of a recent short hospital stay, dad said to our brother that he was looking forward to "getting home to his second family" You can't do better than that.

Excellent accommodation, comfortable cosy environment. What stands out is the lovely staff who are so friendly, helpful and kind. There seems to be alot on offer in terms entertainment, which varies from singers to pets visiting including a donkey. Love going to the bistro, coffee and cake always good and waiting staff are lovely. It's so nice to have a hairdresser and beautician on site too.

I also can't praise the Staff enough for there welcome and lovely manners and kindness that they show not only to there visitors but also to there Residents, and just to put the icing on the cake we can bring our dog with us and it puts a smile on Residents faces

Generally an excellent Nursing Home. The facilities it offers are in a class of their own. The level of care, compassion and detail are impressive. The Staff are helpful, compassionate and always have time even when they are under time pressure. Communication is excellent at the managerial and nursing staff/care level. One relatively small comment would be the bedroom size is quite limiting if one is a wheel chair user but it is adequate. Generally my Mum and all the family are very impressed and happy with Northcare Stirling and their hard working staff.

Staff always have time to update us on how dad is and their feedback comes with genuine warmth and empathy.

Very warm and professional welcome. A great treat for me. Only problem is availability and not being able to book respite. A tv in the room would have been appreciated. Buying a tv adds unnecessary cost.

Our friend has been at Northcare for 2 years come October. The home fully meets the needs of our friend with a homely atmosphere and we know she is in safe hands. Communication between the home and ourselves is very good. You are always made welcome starting from the front of the house manger. A consistent high standard is met by the managers, nursing staff, carers, hospitality and house keeping staff. Most of all our friend is happy living there. We have already recommended Northcare residences to other people.

I know that he is in safe hands and most importantly he is settled and content and I can visit him in a relaxing and calm environment.

My Mother has settled very well in North Care. She has a lovely room and has been very well cared for by staff. My Mothers needs have changed considerably since she moved in and the staff have been excellent in adapting to her situation.

Whata relief to find a care home like Northcare - more like a hotel than a nursing home, with friendly and attentive staff, easy parking and access, brand new and modern facilities, large and spacious rooms and communal spaces, fully flexible approach to person-centred care and making my wife's room as homely as possible, and high quality food and service. Can't fault the Northcare team! Best compliment I can give is that my wife is happy, safe and stable there, and the whole family is delighted with the decision to choose Northcare.

We are pleased that we chose to go ahead with a respite stay at Northcare. It has been very straightforward to make all the arrangements from first contact to collecting Mum afterwards.

My mum has been in Northcare Stirling for a few weeks now. She was diagnosed with vascular dementia. The care she has received has been outstanding. I can now relax knowing my mum is receiving the best care possible. The staff are so friendly and the way they treat my mum is first class. Special mention to the managers who made the move so easy. Their attention to detail was excellent. Also the nurses, care staff, and everyone in Wallace Suite in the way they care for my mum and treat her with dignity, my mum has already said they are like her 2nd family. The facilities are tremendous, we regularly go up to the brasserie for afternoon tea as a family. The staff there are brilliant. Rooms are very clean and spacious. There are daily activities, my mum really enjoys the singers. This care home has exceeded all our expectations.

My father moved into Northcare Residences, Stirling following a terminal cancer diagnosis. The management at Northcare moved very quickly so that Dad could spend his final few weeks in a far more pleasant environment than a hospital ward. Northcare is unlike any other nursing care establishment I have ever seen. It fully justifies the word "Residences" in its title. The accommodation in both public areas and bedroom suites is first class. All the staff made Dad and the family feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, including meeting complex dietary requirements. The quality of nursing care was exceptional in rapidly changing circumstances. It was a great comfort to see the expert palliative care given to Dad and the respect and dignity with which he was afforded at all times. I was also supported and kept informed during my visits and by telephone. I highly recommend Northcare Residences Stirling.

From the first decision to visit, where front of house and the initial move were smooth and swift, to the ongoing exceptional care for us as a family, and for Mum, we are so very pleased we found Northcare in Stirling. Mum has advanced mixed dementia and is in the specialist dementia wing. It makes an enormous difference having a team who "get" dementia. The care the team take of her is very good. The person centred care is excellent. The setting is like a hotel in quality. The brasserie to take Mum up for a coffee/ tea and cake is very useful as Mum feels she has gone out. And she loves the cakes! Mum has been in Northcare for 7 weeks and she has , at last, been putting on a little weight as she is being well looked after. Thanks to the whole team.
