The week passed by very quickly, Mum was so at home at Northcare, praising the staff who were very attentive, she enjoyed all the delicious food also. Meeting other people too really did give my Mum a much-needed lift. She didn't read any of her books at the care home as she just didn't have time, too busy chatting to the other residents, having her hair done at the in-house salon or attending a good movie on the top floor cinema.
When the day came to leave my mother was a bit sad to say farewell, I think she will definitely be back!
A beautiful flower arrangement was also kindly given to her on departure, a lovely gesture.
Thank you Team Northcare for taking such good care of my mum.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. We're thrilled to hear that she enjoyed her respite stay and was able to enjoy all the facilities, and most importantly, felt well cared for by our team. If there's anything more we can do in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out.
My father moved into Northcare in Stirling in October 2023 and still lives there. The facilities and food are top-notch. I can't speak highly enough about the staff there. The general manager and front of house manager have always been extremely helpful and attentive to my requests. The nursing team led by two particular members of staff has been first class and, again, I am very thankful for all the care and affection they have provided to my dad, spending one one-on-one time with him, ensuring he gets involved in social activities, getting him to laugh and smile despite his dementia, hearing difficulties and immobility challenges. Two particular staff members in the hospitality team always ensure my father always enjoys his time there. I live overseas so it was particularly important to find a home where I could safely entrust the staff to take good care of him. Northcare have exceeded my expectations. They have been truly brilliant with my dad and I will be forever grateful.
Thank you for your kind words and review. We really appreciate that you have taken the time to write this review and I will pass your lovely comments on to the wider team. We strive to make sure that everyone experiences care to the highest of standards and it is good to know that this is being achieved.
My dad has thrived in his time there and he's genuinely happy to be living in such a well-run facility. All staff members are professional and show real compassion and pride in their work. It's such a weight off all of our minds knowing he's being taken care of by staff there. It's a pleasure to visit him and I could not recommend this place any higher.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and comments. We are so pleased that your dad has settled in so well at Northcare Residences and I will pass your comments on to the staff, they will really appreciate them.
Nursing staff look after all her needs and meds with plenty of feedback.
Great facilities and stimulation for the residents.
Thank you so much for your kind review, I am so glad you are happy with your stepmother's time here at Northcare Residences. I will pass this message on to all the entire team who will greatly appreciate this.
My husband stayed at the care home for respite for 8 nights. We can't thank the staff enough for providing such a five-star service. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, accommodating and caring at every step of the way. Excellent facilities, food, care, nursing care and extras, such as a cinema, rooftop terrace, cocktail bar and brasserie. We will definitely return.
Thank you so very much for your lovely review. We are delighted that your husband had a pleasant stay with us and I will pass all of your lovely comments on to the staff, they will really appreciate them.
The use of outside space for meeting and relaxing is so good and helps us all to relax. Concierge staff very attentive and helpful.
Thank you for your review. It is wonderful to hear that Northcare Residences, Stirling was able to provide exceptional care to your friend during his stay. I have shared your kind words with the staff.
Having made the hard decision for Mum to go into a care home, Northcare have treated both Mum and my family with respect and care that goes far beyond our expectations. Every one of the members of staff are friendly and go out of their way to ensure that the residents are comfortable and well looked after. The activity programme is great with plenty of fitness classes to ensure movement, family events organised regularly are lovely with super catering and entertainment and when visiting always offered a cuppa and cake. Communication is excellent from the ladies on the front desk, staff up on the floors and management. Mum has been at Northcare for 10 months and we have seen a huge positive change in her mental health, she joins in the activities and know it was the right choice to move her to Northcare for a much better quality of life. The Northcare team feel like an extended family and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is facing the difficult decision.
Thank you for your lovely review and your very kind words, we are pleased to know that you would recommend our lovely home. I will pass your comments on to the staff, they will really appreciate them.
My mum has been a resident in Northcare Stirling for 7 months now. She has settled so well and continues to do so. The standard of care is met with all mum's requirements to the highest of standard. We were able to make her room familiar with family pictures from home. On entering the home you can tell immediately how clean and welcoming it is. All staff are extremely friendly and welcoming while remaining extremely professional. I'm so happy Mum is a resident of Northcare. As a family, it has given us total peace of mind.
Hi, thanks for the lovely review, I will ensure this is passed on to everyone.
The care that our dad is receiving at Northcare is exceptional. All staff from reception, to hospitality, housekeeping, carers, nurses and management treat our Dad with the utmost respect. The care and kindness shown on a daily basis genuinely warms my heart. Nothing is too much trouble and there is never a raised eyebrow, eyeroll or sigh... all care is carried out with a smile and a great deal of compassion. The staff are ever present and chat, laugh and build relationships with the residents and their families. The medical support from Viewfield Medical Practise has also been outstanding. In addition to the wonderful care, there is a wide range of activities and entertainment, the food is made freshly in-house and the surroundings are of very high standard and well maintained. We are very grateful to everyone at Northcare. We have peace of mind each time we leave, knowing our dad is safe and being well looked after by the most wonderful team of people.
Hi, thanks for this, will ensure to update the full care team.
My dad has settled in well to Northcare Residences, we loved the feel of the home and the people who run and work in it. The staff are interested in my dad and engage well with him and my sister and I too. We especially liked the high ceilings and spacious bedroom although my dad is spending lots of time out of his room which is a great surprise to us joining in with other residents and taking part in activities including days out and the cinema within the care home. We feel he is safe and looked after and his quality of life has improved since coming in almost 3 months ago.
Hi, Thanks for the feedback, I will ensure this is passed on.
In comparison to other nursing homes that I have visited, the set-up is remarkable. More like a high-class hotel.
Cleanliness, accommodation, catering, activities are all excellent. However, it is the professionalism and compassion of the nurses and carers that really stand out. Certainly, the manager is highly visible, experienced, skilled and accessible - I doubt that any drop in standards would be tolerated. However, the staff and, in particular, the clinical lead/nurses are genuinely compassionate people.
I simply couldn’t be more grateful.
This care home is very welcoming indeed - all the staff are cheery and chatty, but also professional. The management, nursing staff and hospitality teams are a real credit to Northcare, as are the departments visitors don't tend to engage with such as housekeeping and maintenance. The building is bespoke and each of the resident's rooms is very spacious with high ceilings throughout. The communal areas have some very nice pieces of old/antique furniture further adding to the ambience and experience. The care that my father has received since he became a resident at the start of 2024 has been first-class - they have stabilised his medication and he is looking well for his age. It is evident that he is well-settled and happy here. The range of activities provided by Northcare is impressive and my father attends most of these. Food quality is excellent and varied. I have recommended Northcare to a number of friends who have elderly parents in the Central Belt.
Thanks for the positive review, we will ensure this is passed on.
Thank you for the lovely pamper sessions and the hair appointments. But most of all thank you for the care you and every one of your team provide. What a wonderful place. We love you all very much!
It feels so good to put our heads on our pillow at night knowing that Mum is safely tucked up in bed and she has had a happy day.
Thank you for the lovely review. We will ensure this is passed on.
My husband and I have found the management and staff of this care home to be very friendly and professional. Other visitors have also commented on the facilities and how friendly and well turned out the staff are. They are on top of any medical issues that arise and keep us well-informed. They treat the resident with respect and friendliness at all times. The programme of activities is varied and interesting. The rooms are lovely and larger than other care homes we've seen and are kept very clean. It's like a home from home. There is a varied menu and the resident always has a choice.
Thanks for the positive review; we will ensure this is passed on.
The level of communication is very good.
Thanks for the positive review. We will ensure this is passed on.
