Mum was at Oakhill for two and half years, which she enjoyed at times. The staff looked after her well, she got on well with most of the staff. There were a few negatives, which was quite a few staff were not very good with speaking in English, but were very caring with her. She had her favourites.
Thank you for review. We're so pleased your mum enjoyed being at Oakhill and formed strong bonds with our caring staff. We're always working to improve, and appreciate your feedback.
As always we are so impressed with the care received here. Everyone is so caring and looks after my brother excellently as we know he is not easy at times (understandably). Highly recommend this case home. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are very high.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from family members that their loved one is cared for and looked after so well at Oakhill. I will share your compliments with the staff.
Everyone at Oakhill Mansions was very kind and easy to deal with. My father entered in October 2022 and the doctor was not hopeful of him surviving for very long, but due to the care and attention, we had Dad until July 2024. All the staff were extremely attentive and kind to my dad and to us as a family.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are very proud of our staff and the care they provide to our residents. I will compliment the staff on your behalf.
The Lodge at Oakhill is led by brilliant team leaders. Our dad was a resident for two and a half years. The care team were extremely helpful, friendly and caring. Any minor care issues over that time were dealt with promptly. The bedroom was beautiful, airy and light, with windows into a view of trees and flowers. My only complaint regarding the building is the lounge is windowless but cosy.
Thank you, Jackie, for the lovely review. We agree, that our Lodge team are amazing and always goes the extra mile. I will provide your feedback to the team.
Oakhill Mansions (Lodge) has provided outstanding and empathetic care to my mother-in-law throughout her journey with dementia and eating disorder. We were always kept well-informed of developments/changes in her condition and felt like the staff treated us like family. During my mother-in-law's final 13 days, staff went above and beyond their duties to ensure she was comfortable. We can't thank them enough for their support.
Thank you very much, for the lovely review. We are very proud of our staff and the outstanding care they provide. It was a pleasure to care for your mom-in-law. I will pass on your review to The Lodge staff.
I cannot praise the home enough. Even though I only came for a short while, for recuperation after an operation. I was able to get a very good view of what was happening, on a daily basis in this home. I cannot praise the staff enough, nothing was too much trouble. They were kind thoughtful and nothing was too much trouble well done.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to assist you with your recuperation. I will pass the compliments to our valued staff.
My father is receiving the highest quality of care at Oakhill Mansions. We decided to opt for 24-hour residential care due to home care being inadequate for my father's complex needs. This was an emotional step for us all but I have been reassured and supported through the whole process. The quality of the accommodation is exceptional. Clean, bright and fresh smelling. Dad is very comfortable and very well cared for. The staff are superb and have become good friends. The staff turnover is low, reflecting the happy environment. Highly recommend.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot to hear that our determination and drive for high-quality care has been recognised. I will ensure your comments are passed on to the team.
The staff are amazing and care about the residents. Cleanliness is second to none and the building is up to date and modern. My dad is very happy here.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are very proud of our staff who always go the extra mile. I will pass your comments on to the staff.
On viewing Oakhill Mansions prior to his move there, we were impressed with the overall view; the room allocated was perfect, and the staff seemed very friendly. Our concerns about this change were very high.
20th January 2023, the move was made, and within 24 hours, my fears were elevated. The staff went above and beyond to find out about his wants and needs and what sort of man my husband is.
A year on, I look back at his journey, and it couldn't have been more perfect!
The nursing care has been brilliant; they could see he was sleeping more than he should, so they took action to reduce and eventually stop altogether one of his medications, and the change in him is amazing - he is so much more alert and active. I cannot praise all the staff enough!
Thank you so much for your lovely words. It means a lot to hear that our determination and drive for high-quality care at Oakhill are recognised. I will ensure your comments are passed on to our amazing team.
Excellent bedroom. Very airy and warm. I love that I can go home and know he's being looked after well.
Nice interaction between staff and patient.
Very good laundry system.

The care staff and nurses are very good to Mum, always trying to help in any way they can to make her comfortable and happy.

Oakhill Mansions is an amazing place the staff are caring-loving-understanding and they become family. My dad has passed away now but in his last years, he was living with them and were his family too. He had the best care any family could want for their loved ones. 150% and more their give. Loving caring family home we go back for visits and have just been in to see them all for Christmas.
Many thanks.
The standard of room and facilities was excellent with very caring staff.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. We treat our residents with the love and respect that we’d want for our own families. Your kind words will be shared with the staff at Oakhill Mansions.
You were also there for us as a family when things were getting harder - such a high standard of care; you gave her 24/7 care - she was never alone. You made this sad and difficult time more bearable.
On behalf of the family, please accept our sincere thanks and gratitude for all that you did for her.
Many thanks from both of her daughters.
It is extremely rewarding to know that our residents, family and friends are happy with the home, the care and the services we offer.
I had to find a care home for my mother, who has been diagnosed with vascular dementia. I came across Oakhill Mansions in Westbury on Trym. Upon the very first visit, I made to have a look around, and I was made to feel welcome. The home was clean, the staff were friendly, caring and professional, and the residents seemed happy. My mother moved in soon after. I can honestly say that I could not have wished for anywhere nicer for my mother to go. She is so well looked after, and the staff are amazing.
Thank you for the review. We will pass your kind words on to our dedicated team. We are extremely grateful for the trust you placed in us.
Thank you for making such a sad and difficult time more bearable. We only wish she could have been with you for longer, but it was not to be.
On behalf of all the family, please accept our sincere thanks and admiration.
It is extremely rewarding to hear that we have made a positive difference.
My mother who died in October at age 101 was happy here and looked after by very caring and attentive members of staff. The rooms were modern and comfortable. It is in a pleasant area and visiting and parking is no problem. When Mum died I had just lost my wife very suddenly. I live a long way away from the Bristol area and things like registration of death and getting forms to the undertaker would have been too much for me. The manager of the home stepped right in and arranged all these things for me. He ensured I got Mum's rings and the required certificates by special delivery. At a time of great sorrow for me he helped more than he will ever know.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. It is extremely rewarding to know that our residents, family and friends are happy with the home, the care and the services we offer. Warm Regards, The Cedar Care Family.
I would just like to say what a great team of people, my uncle had the best care possible he couldn't have been in a better place, the staff are outstanding he was really well cared for and treated with great dignity as he had dementia, I was always kept informed of all things regarding my uncle thank you.

Her room was always clean, her laundry done and she looked presentable when it was clear this was beyond her own control.
Towards her end of life, her medical care was first-rate as it had been throughout her stay and I was always kept up to date without even having to ask.
All you could want for your loved one is here, a beautifully kept building with kind, thoughtful and above all genuinely caring staff.
Thank you.

Also, the CEO was very approachable and understanding. I had an excellent meeting with him concerning my mother's care and the financial commitments needs.
Overall, a very good team and a friendly working atmosphere.
