My partner was at Oakhill Mansions for several months in 2021. The staff are so kind and caring. The rooms are always clean and well presented. A very professionally run but friendly home. The staff went over and above what I had expected at a nursing home.

My mother has dementia and has been cared for at Oakhill Mansions for over one year now. Previously, she has been cared for at other nursing homes but failed to settle. I am very happy to see her so settled at Oakhill Mansions, where she can make her wishes known in her native language too. I am very
grateful to the staff speaking her native language but also to those who cannot. Some of the staff, to my great surprise, even learned the basics, so that they can communicate directly with her. Overall, I found all the staff to be very caring and helpful. My mother happily smiles when returning from her weekend visits home and meets the staff on duty welcoming her back. Oakhill Mansions offers a lovely ambience for living, greatly enhanced by the professionalism and kindness of its entire staff.

I have been at Oakhill Mansions for 5 months. I am receiving "end of life" care as I have terminal cancer. When I came here, I was anxious and worried about the treatment I would receive and how I would cope. In a very short time, all the people here made me feel comfortable and welcome. The care I
receive is 1st class and I feel I am part of a "family" that put my welfare and best interests before anything else. All my relatives and friends remark on how well I am looked after. I would recommend Oakhill Mansions to anyone who needs nursing care.

My elderly friend moved into Oakhill from hospital. He was there for a few months before he passed away but those few months were wonderful. The staff were kind and caring, the food was amazing and his bedroom was made his own. I was also welcomed when visiting. I am so pleased that his last months
were spent here, his quality of life increased and he looked like he was enjoying his life once more. Thank you.

My Nan entered this home in April 2019 as her health deteriorated from Cancer and she was no longer able to live in her own home. She was most happy to move to a home that was less than a mile from her own house, with larger, light and airy rooms and fantastic grounds. Having previously stayed in a
respite home a few months before she found this was a world above.


Unfortunately, after moving in, her health began to deteriorate more and more and she was confined to her room. As it was large this didn’t make her feel constricted and the staff could not have been more helpful.
She struck up great relationships with them and they with us as the family. During the final few weeks, the staff made everything so much easier for my Nan, they were patient, caring and above all respectful of her wishes.


I cannot recommend this home enough and would be more than happy for any other member of my family or indeed myself when the time comes to stay here in the future.

My Nan spent the last part of her life at Oakhill Mansions. The rooms and building are beautifully designed and decorated with high-end furniture and fixtures but it makes you feel like you are at home.
The manager and staff made sure my Nan had everything she wanted and needed, nothing was too much
trouble. They were very kind and helpful at all times, even when they were so busy and rushed off their feet. They always made sure my Nan had her favourite hot chocolate, making those small things made her content and happy. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place for their loved one.

My husband has dementia and is in the care of Oakhill Mansions. We have experienced only care, kindness and attentiveness. The staff are truly exceptional. The home is clean and well kept. It has a beautiful garden residence and relatives can sit and walk in. My husband has settled well and seems relaxed

The staff were amazing, very caring always. My sister had a brain tumour and vascular dementia which made her very aggressive sometimes but staff were always brilliant and always had a smile for her. One member of staff went the extra mile and with her last hours sat with her reading her the Bible,
they always respected my sister's dignity. Because the family are so pleased with Oakhill Mansions, (Queensward Wing) we are giving donations from the funeral to the Oakhill Activity fund.

Mum was fast tracked from hospital into Oakhill Mansions in January, she spent seven months on the Princeton Wing which offered excellent facilities, cleanliness and top notch care until she sadly passed away. The staff, nurses and Management team went beyond their job titles to ensure mum and ourselves
had an understanding of what was happening during our journey with plenty of hugs and endless cups of tea. We can't thank them enough. If you are looking for a nursing home with a heart I cannot recommend them enough.
