Olive Tree House is a state-of-the-art building with all the space and innovative design that you would expect from a nursing and dementia specialist care centre. Olive Tree House has been designed to ensure the lives of the people who live there are as fulfilled as possible.

As you walk into this care home there is such a warm, cosy feeling! The staff are attentive to the residents' needs and are warm and welcoming. The activities team I want to particularly shout out as the activities they offer the residents are above and beyond. I would 100% recommend this care home.

I have now visited my friend at Olive Tree House a few times. The home is warm and bright with a nice atmosphere. Every staff member I have spoken to during my visits is very friendly and nothing seems too much trouble for them when I ask for assistance during my visits.

Mum's arrival at Olive Tree House was a same-day emergency placement and the home could only offer a room on their dementia floor, which Mum didn't suffer. However, all the implications such as being able to lock her door and the noise from other residents were carefully explained to us beforehand.
The staff were very caring and attentive and did what they could to make Mum feel safe and comfortable. Without prompting, when a room became available on a non-dementia floor, Mum was offered a move, which she accepted. The move was once again handled professionally and sensitively, and the staff on her new floor all came to introduce themselves and make Mum feel welcome. Mum spent her final two weeks here, where. Once again the staff were caring and respectful. Throughout Mum's stay, the nursing team too were thoughtful, knowledgeable and caring. Thank you to all for making Mum's last few weeks and her passing as good as it could have been. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.

The staff are all lovely everyone always greets you when you arrive and always take the time to answer any queries or update you if necessary, this is from a cleaner right up to and including management.
Throughout the building, everything is clean and visually appealing.
The only area I would mention,
but appreciate this relies on staff being available, is that regularly there are the same residents sat in the lounge every day with only the TV playing music in the background. I do not know their particular circumstances and I've never seen any visitors for them but feel that they are not being stimulated unless there is an activity going on.

I have found the care, nursing and management staff to be very professional and compassionate. My mother eventually settled in and any little issues were quickly addressed. There seems to be a good staff-to-resident ratio and I feel that Mum is safe in the care of Olive Tree. There are activities most
days and Mum has made some friends which is good.

On Saturday 27th July a family day was organised in the garden of Olive Tree House.
There was entertainment, food and refreshments provided. It was an excellent afternoon for residents and family, the staff did an excellent job of keeping everyone happy and safe.

The care my father has received over the past 3 plus years has been fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. All of them without exception genuinely care about the happiness and well-being of the residents.
When you have to take the decision to put a loved one into care, the worry, stress and anxiety
that comes with it is sometimes overwhelming. I can not thank Olive Tree House enough for taking this stress away from me. Seeing my Father happy, cared for and engaging in activities was such a relief.

My wife was admitted in March and I was quite worried concerning her care, however on my first visit I was very impressed with the overall excellence of this facility. The staff are friendly, helpful and above all compassionate. She has a lovely room on the top floor so the views are great! My wife
was in 2 other care homes last year (2023) but their standards were sadly wanting. Since she has been here she has enjoyed working with the staff and enjoying the entertainment provided. Many thanks for your care.

My husband went into the Olive Tree House in November 2023. The support from the management and care team has been excellent. My husband is now beginning to settle down and has been very well looked after by all the staff caring for him. I, myself, have been welcoming warmly when I visit him. I appreciate

I am delighted to share my review of the care home that is looking after my father. This is a fantastic home and as a family, we are immensely grateful for the exceptional care provided.
The staff at this care home are truly remarkable, consistently dedicated and compassionate, going above and beyond.
They have formed a genuine bond with Dad, ensuring he is feeling comfortable and loved. Communication with the family has been excellent with updates regarding his care. This care home is a gem, exceeding our expectations. They have made Dad feel nothing is too much trouble. Keep up the good work.

On entering my room for the first time, it had been decorated and smelt fresh. I was made welcome by the manager and members of her staff helped me move in. Once settled in, each member of staff told me what role they played in keeping the care home functioning. I was very impressed and to have 24-hour
care ticks all the boxes and I have made some very good friends indeed.

Being in other care homes and assisted living, I find this one to be much better. The care I receive is brilliant, and the carers are all very helpful and friendly. I am really happy here! One comment I have is although the food is lovely, I don't actually eat that much, so I don't want you to think
I am ungrateful - I just don't need that much food.

My mum was transferred from the hospital to Olive Tree House for end-of-life care. She immediately looked more comfortable and rested in a less noisy and chaotic atmosphere than in the hospital. The care staff and deputy manager welcomed us in and made sure that Mum had everything she needed. They listened
and acted on any small detail that was requested which was fantastic. They even washed her hair and cut her fingernails which made Mum feel so much better. The care staff are very thoughtful and kind and like to keep you up to date with how things are going. The knowledge and professionalism of the deputy manager, nurses and doctors are outstanding. I cannot thank them enough for their holistic care and willingness to involve the family in Mum's care at every stage. Mum is very poorly now, but I am safe in the knowledge that she is well cared for at this very difficult time for the family. Thank you all so much. I will remember this exceptional care always and it means so much to me.

My father sadly passed away at Olive Tree House on Monday, 2nd January 2023. The staff were always professional, kind and totally devoted to their role in caring for him and us as a family. Dad could be difficult sometimes due to his illness, but they looked after him and us right to the end with dignity,
respect and kindness. I can't thank them enough or wish for him to have been cared for by anyone else.

Dad was moved into end-of-life care in October. He passed away on 2nd January. Because of his illness, he was very difficult to care for from the outset, yet we always found all staff so kind, caring, and able to provide all that he needed. We cannot imagine where anyone could find a higher quality
of care, and we are so grateful that his last months were with people who looked after him brilliantly.
From keeping us constantly informed to readily understanding and helping with the distress the family experienced, no one could ask more.
We will always be grateful to everyone at Olive Tree House. Outstanding managers, nurses, care workers and everyone. Thank you for everything, and we want people to know that no finer care is available.

My mum was placed at Olive Tree House as part of her discharge plan from the hospital. We felt very fortunate that this home was the one selected. The staff were all caring and professional. With communication between the home and ourselves, as well as the physical environment and facilities, all being

My brother has been residing at Olive Tree since March 2021. He is settled and much more comfortable than he was at home (alone). He has late-stage frontotemporal dementia, which can be very difficult, yet the care shown to him has mellowed him a bit. The staff are wonderful with him and caring. I'm
kept informed of all or any issues. It's a huge relief to me to know he is well looked after. I'm his only relative. The building is clean and modern, and the staff go the extra mile to make him feel safe and comfortable.

Vlad is the Registered Manager for Rose Garden and Olive Tree House in Bristol, Vlad brings a wealth of experience and dedication to caring for the elderly. With a background as a nurse and extensive experience in management, his knowledgeable approach and expertise are invaluable, both to residents and his colleagues. Vlad is highly focused on meeting residents’ needs and supporting them fully to ensure the best possible outcomes and the highest quality of life. With a commitment to fostering a positive and joyful environment, he is also known for his sense of humour and his ability to make everyone laugh with his jokes!


Vlad’s vision as a manager is to create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where residents feel valued, safe, and happy, while continuously reviewing and improving the quality of care provided.

Mutor Owusu

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2024

Mutor has worked as a nurse in elderly care since moving to the UK from Ghana in 2019. She is passionate about working with older people and is compassionate in his approach to residents seeing it as a privilege to be part of each resident's life. Having worked in nursing homes in Somerset and Bristol, he brings his specialist knowledge to Olive Tree House, particularly in dementia care.


Mutor is committed to his personal and professional development and is always open to learning and taking on whatever challenge is next.

Sally

Job Title: Clinical Manager Joined: 2025

With 15 years of experience as a nurse in the NHS across a number of specialities, Sally discovered a passion for working with older people. Sally started working in care homes six years ago and has continued to develop her knowledge, particularly in dementia and palliative care. Sally's experience and expertise have seen her advance to the position of Clinical Manager at Olive Tree House.


Sally is just as busy outside of work with two teenage children and an enjoyment of swimming.

Original, creative and, in her words, “Mad as a box of frogs!”, Liz brings irrepressible warmth, sunshine and laughter to her role as Olive Tree House’s activities coordinator. She’s dedicated to bringing variety, interest and, above all, joy to residents’ daily lives and always looking to come up with new activities whilst sharing a joke and a smile with those around her.

Shantelle

Shantelle

Job Title: Receptionist Joined: 2025

Shantelle is the friendly face who will greet you at Olive Tree House. Shantelle loves to chat to everyone and in her words about nothing and everything all at once. Having worked in retail for many years, it was during the COVID pandemic that Shantelle decided to put her enthusiasm, personality and organisational skills to better use and took on a role as a receptionist at a dental practice.


Shantelle is greatly enjoying working at Olive Tree House and loves chatting to the residents and visitors. Shantelle is always on hand to answer any questions.


Outside of work, Shantelle’s young son takes up most of her time; as a real outdoor boy, he loves football and riding his bike. When there is an opportunity for some downtime, Shantelle will be found with her fiancé in a pub garden enjoying some good food and great company!

Paul

Paul Thomas

Job Title: Regional Manager - Western Region Joined: 2025

Paul has joined Allegra Care with 27 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, including working in senior leadership roles for the last 18 years, covering operations, business management and quality assurance. Paul has a real passion for person-centred care and how that is delivered at the highest level.


Paul has worked across a diverse sector over his time in health and social care and brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Regional Manager. Paul believes in integrating real and meaningful values and culture into a service and in doing so, delivering the outcomes for the people we support. Paul goes by the theory of values with no meaning, which has no value.


Outside of work, Paul is the father of three boys and a 2nd degree black belt who teaches Judo.

Catherine

Catherine Crawshaw

Job Title: Regional Resident Liaison Manager – Western Region Joined: 2024

Catherine has worked in sales and marketing her whole career, after graduating with a degree in Textile Management she worked in Corporate Workwear for many years. Catherine’s first role in the care sector was working with a disability charity that ran nursing homes and enablement projects for young adults. While her two children were younger, she joined her husband in his estate agency, but was delighted to return to the care sector in 2020 and now cannot imagine doing anything else.


Catherine’s role with Allegra is to support residents and their families as they explore care options. Working with the teams in the individual homes she ensures that during every stage from initial enquiry through to moving in with us every question is answered, and we offer the reassurance needed for the next chapter in our resident’s life. It is important for our residents to remain part of the community in which will have lived for years, often all their lives, so the other part of this role is connecting with local community groups, charities and organisations. Catherine has said that working for Allegra with their groundbreaking household model means we are offering a home with compassion and care whilst ensuring residents are retaining their independence and quality of life.


Out of work, Catherine enjoys baking, gardening and walking the family Labrador. The children are older now, but still keep her busy!
