Mum's arrival at Olive Tree House was a same-day emergency placement and the home could only offer a room on their dementia floor, which Mum didn't suffer. However, all the implications such as being able to lock her door and the noise from other residents were carefully explained to us beforehand. The staff were very caring and attentive and did what they could to make Mum feel safe and comfortable. Without prompting, when a room became available on a non-dementia floor, Mum was offered a move, which she accepted. The move was once again handled professionally and sensitively, and the staff on her new floor all came to introduce themselves and make Mum feel welcome. Mum spent her final two weeks here, where. Once again the staff were caring and respectful. Throughout Mum's stay, the nursing team too were thoughtful, knowledgeable and caring. Thank you to all for making Mum's last few weeks and her passing as good as it could have been. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.

The staff are all lovely everyone always greets you when you arrive and always take the time to answer any queries or update you if necessary, this is from a cleaner right up to and including management.
Throughout the building, everything is clean and visually appealing.

The only area I would mention, but appreciate this relies on staff being available, is that regularly there are the same residents sat in the lounge every day with only the TV playing music in the background. I do not know their particular circumstances and I've never seen any visitors for them but feel that they are not being stimulated unless there is an activity going on.

HelloThank you very much for providing us with your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I note your comment re some residents/activity etc. Thank you for sharing that with us, we will review it with our activity staff to make sure everyone is involved and busy (as much as they wish to be of course!). It's very helpful to get the feedback, we will act on it. Best wishes, Helen

I have found the care, nursing and management staff to be very professional and compassionate. My mother eventually settled in and any little issues were quickly addressed. There seems to be a good staff-to-resident ratio and I feel that Mum is safe in the care of Olive Tree. There are activities most days and Mum has made some friends which is good.

The care my father has received over the past 3 plus years has been fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. All of them without exception genuinely care about the happiness and well-being of the residents.

When you have to take the decision to put a loved one into care, the worry, stress and anxiety that comes with it is sometimes overwhelming. I can not thank Olive Tree House enough for taking this stress away from me. Seeing my Father happy, cared for and engaging in activities was such a relief.

My wife was admitted in March and I was quite worried concerning her care, however on my first visit I was very impressed with the overall excellence of this facility. The staff are friendly, helpful and above all compassionate. She has a lovely room on the top floor so the views are great! My wife was in 2 other care homes last year (2023) but their standards were sadly wanting. Since she has been here she has enjoyed working with the staff and enjoying the entertainment provided. Many thanks for your care.

I am delighted to share my review of the care home that is looking after my father. This is a fantastic home and as a family, we are immensely grateful for the exceptional care provided.

The staff at this care home are truly remarkable, consistently dedicated and compassionate, going above and beyond. They have formed a genuine bond with Dad, ensuring he is feeling comfortable and loved. Communication with the family has been excellent with updates regarding his care. This care home is a gem, exceeding our expectations. They have made Dad feel nothing is too much trouble. Keep up the good work.

On entering my room for the first time, it had been decorated and smelt fresh. I was made welcome by the manager and members of her staff helped me move in. Once settled in, each member of staff told me what role they played in keeping the care home functioning. I was very impressed and to have 24-hour care ticks all the boxes and I have made some very good friends indeed.

Being in other care homes and assisted living, I find this one to be much better. The care I receive is brilliant, and the carers are all very helpful and friendly. I am really happy here! One comment I have is although the food is lovely, I don't actually eat that much, so I don't want you to think I am ungrateful - I just don't need that much food.

My mum was transferred from the hospital to Olive Tree House for end-of-life care. She immediately looked more comfortable and rested in a less noisy and chaotic atmosphere than in the hospital. The care staff and deputy manager welcomed us in and made sure that Mum had everything she needed. They listened and acted on any small detail that was requested which was fantastic. They even washed her hair and cut her fingernails which made Mum feel so much better. The care staff are very thoughtful and kind and like to keep you up to date with how things are going. The knowledge and professionalism of the deputy manager, nurses and doctors are outstanding. I cannot thank them enough for their holistic care and willingness to involve the family in Mum's care at every stage. Mum is very poorly now, but I am safe in the knowledge that she is well cared for at this very difficult time for the family. Thank you all so much. I will remember this exceptional care always and it means so much to me.

My father sadly passed away at Olive Tree House on Monday, 2nd January 2023. The staff were always professional, kind and totally devoted to their role in caring for him and us as a family. Dad could be difficult sometimes due to his illness, but they looked after him and us right to the end with dignity, respect and kindness. I can't thank them enough or wish for him to have been cared for by anyone else.

Thank you.

Dad was moved into end-of-life care in October. He passed away on 2nd January. Because of his illness, he was very difficult to care for from the outset, yet we always found all staff so kind, caring, and able to provide all that he needed. We cannot imagine where anyone could find a higher quality of care, and we are so grateful that his last months were with people who looked after him brilliantly.
From keeping us constantly informed to readily understanding and helping with the distress the family experienced, no one could ask more.

We will always be grateful to everyone at Olive Tree House. Outstanding managers, nurses, care workers and everyone. Thank you for everything, and we want people to know that no finer care is available.

My brother has been residing at Olive Tree since March 2021. He is settled and much more comfortable than he was at home (alone). He has late-stage frontotemporal dementia, which can be very difficult, yet the care shown to him has mellowed him a bit. The staff are wonderful with him and caring. I'm kept informed of all or any issues. It's a huge relief to me to know he is well looked after. I'm his only relative. The building is clean and modern, and the staff go the extra mile to make him feel safe and comfortable.
