My father has been a resident here since January. He has very complex care needs and can be challenging at times, but the staff have looked after him incredibly well. They are always friendly, caring and professional, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The home is set in lovely surroundings and
has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It gives our family great peace of mind knowing he is being so well cared for. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work, patience and dedication.

My Mum moved into Orchard Manor in December 2025, Mum has alzheimer's and had got to a point where she couldn't look after herself. The team at Orchard Manor made the transition from hospital where Mum was recovering from hip surgery to the care home really smooth, on arriving they made Mum feel welcomed
and safe. Mum has settled well due to the lovely, kind carers, they encourage Mum who is shy to join in the array of activities, as well as eating her meals with the other residents which she really enjoys. Mum has made friends and is very happy. I would highly recommend Orchard Manor the team are fantastic, patient, kind and I cannot thank them enough for all they do for Mum.

My Mum was a resident at Orchard Manor Care Home. The care she received from the home was excellent and I couldn't have left her in better hands.
The staff get to know the residents well and ensure they are happy and nothing is too much trouble.
I was constantly updated on her welfare when she was
poorly. I will forever be grateful for the care my Mum received from all the staff at this home.
My Mum really enjoyed her time at the home, and loved the food, staff and the excellent trips she took.
If you are looking for the most caring people to look after your loved ones, in beautiful surroundings, this is the place for you.

My mother has been a resident since mid February when she was discharged from hospital. The care she has received has been excellent, the staff have kept us well informed and acted promptly on any concerns we may have. The activities provided are many and varied - exercise classes, craft sessions, singing
sessions, trips out... she is encouraged to join in which has made a big difference to her mental well being, she no longer spends the day sleeping in front of TV. Orchard Manor is a purpose built care home and as a result is spacious and airy with wide corridors, large lounge areas and nice gardens.

We needed respite care for two weeks . The preliminary visit by two nursing staff was excellent: thorough, professional and very supportive.
The care for my husband while staying at Orchard Manor was also excellent in the care and support he was given.
The care and support also given to myself was
second to none- very understanding and staff were able and willing to talk through and concerns and issues myself and family had.
The environment is superb both inside and out with gardens well tended and welcoming.
The entertainment and activities provided for the residents is very good and we have participated at times as visitors to watch the entertainment and have been made very welcome by staff . We will certainly keep up our contact with Orchard Manor.
Reply from Amy Batchelor, Customer Relations Manager at Orchard ManorThank you so much for your thoughtful and heartfelt feedback.

I am very happy with the care my wife is being given at Orchard Manor. The senior carers are always happy to discuss my wife's care and any issues I may raise. The activity staff are always very attentive to all residents and the activities and entertainment that is provided for the residents is extremely
good. The residents are also taken out on regular occasions to places of interest which my wife really enjoys. My wife has been in other Care Homes prior to becoming a resident in Orchard Manor and this care home is by far the best and she enjoys the relationship she has with the carers. One very good aspect of Orchard Manor that I am very happy with is the policy of not segregating residents with dementia from all the other residents which I believe works well.
Reply from Amy Batchelor, Customer Relations Manager at Orchard ManorThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback.
We're delighted to hear how happy you are with the care your wife is receiving at Orchard Manor. It's incredibly important to us that families feel heard and involved.

My husband was a resident of Orchard Manor from October 2024 . During his time here he was well looked after by all of the staff they made him very welcome ,comfortable and cared for . When visiting i was made to feel very welcome too with the staff going above and beyond to make me feel included and
kept me up to date on my husbands wellbeing and any treatment plans in place . I always felt part of the care home family and the staff always took time for a chat and a catch up and sometimes some laughs which made visiting a pleasure .
Unfortunately my husband lost his battle with Dementia in August I just have to thank the staff for their care and compassion for us both in his final days and for being there for me to comfort and reassure me in those difficult hours. I couldn't have done it without them .
Reply from Amy Batchelor, Customer Relations Manager at Orchard ManorThank you so much for sharing such a deeply personal message. We are truly sorry for your loss, and our thoughts remain with you during this difficult time. It was an honor and a privilege to care for your husband during his time with us at Orchard Manor. We're so glad to know that both you and your husband felt welcomed, supported, and part of our Orchard Manor family. Your kind words mean the world to our team, who work with great care and compassion to ensure residents and their loved ones feel safe, included, and valued. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We will always remember your husband with great fondness, and we're grateful to have had the opportunity to support you both.

My husband has been a resident at Orchard Manor since June. Prior to this he had been to the home for day care. Because he was already familiar with the home the transition to permanent care has been very easy. He is very happy and enjoys the activities and the trips out. The home is lovely and spacious
and he is not restricted to an area so can move freely anywhere in the home.
The Staff are lovely and the make a very big effort to do bbq and other family days.
I am very happy with the care given , he is always well dressed and groomed, and his room is spacious modern and very clean.

Before my mum was a resident at Orchard Manor, she was living at home on her own, the care she received at home was the bare minimum by adult social care, no stimulation she was lonely and depressed. We took the option for mum to become a full time resident at Orchard Manor after some much needed respite
and cannot describe just how much her quality of life improved. She even embraced some of the activities, engaging with residents and visitors. The care, kindness and patience shown by the all the staff, from carers to all the other internal staff was second to none. It allowed us as a family to spend enjoyable time with mum and make some precious memories.
I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone, they truly are welcoming and attentive and we are forever grateful for the kindness showed to mum.

What a fantastic carehome. This is a very special place, Orchard Manor feels like a family. Mum is totally at home with all her friends and pets living together. She is always out on trips or doing activity's.
This beautiful happy home has the most wonderful staff that make the residents their number
one priority.
Dementia is tough on the family, but I have found peace knowing my Mum is in safe hands, which has change my life and lifted all the weight from my shoulders. Forever grateful to the Orchard Manor magic. X

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Orchard Manor for over a year, after struggling to settle in two previous care homes in the local area. She settled very quickly and now enjoys many days out to garden centres, sightseeing and ten pin bowling to name but a few! The activities team and carers know
all the residents really well and have built a really friendly team.

Orchard Manor regularly put on both outdoor and indoor events, mainly based on foods from around the world, which both residents and family members can enjoy. We were worried when my mother-in-law first went to Orchard manor, as she had lost weight and would sometime turn away food, which has all changed over the past year.

We are really pleased and I would highly recommend Orchard Manor.

Mum has been living at Orchard Manor for 15 months, after it became unsafe to leave her in her own home. Mum is still active and able although often confused, the staff at Orchard Manor are patient, kind and tolerant of the challenges someone facing Dementia has to deal with. Having dealt with other
homes for respite care with another parent, I also love that the staff have remained constant throughout her time at Orchard Manor, something that helps her feel settled and rooted. On a good 'mum' day she tells me she is very happy where she lives! Knowing that mum is safe, clean and fed is such a relief when we her family had reached the end of our ability to deal with her ourselves.

My Father has been a full time resident at Orchard Manor since February 2024, it didn't take him long to settle in and that was all to do with the wonderful staff, who are amazing, caring and absolutely treat all the residents with respect and wonderful care.
His days are now filled with great activities,
whether that is his daily exercises, trips out, visiting entertainers, enjoying the sunshine in the lovely outside spaces, and not to mention he has now got his appetite back and seems much more healthier after now enjoying 3 cooked meals a day.
I have peace of mind that he is being well looked after, and is safe.

My mother reluctantly went into Orchard Manor for respite care however after the initial month our family decided that this was the best place for her as she was healthier happier and safer than she had been at home. This was in the most part due to the lovely caring staff not to mention the great facilities
inside the home and lovely gardens outside. I know my Mum would have preferred to live her twilight years in her own home however as this proved to be impossible Orchard Manor is the next best thing.

We have recently moved our mum here from a previous care home. The difference in Orchard Manor is, as they say, like night and day.
Whilst mum's dementia is deteriorating, and I know she can be a little 'difficult, ' the staff are amazing and so caring.
The home itself is very modern, bright and breezy,
and her room is lovely, leading out onto a garden and patio area. It feels more like a hotel than a care home.
What we like is that the residents are mixed and she is not restricted to a 'dementia' floor. The fees are very reasonable compared to where she was, and includes a weekly hairdressing appointment and any Chiropody she needs.
Everyday they have a full programme of activities, and many weekly outings.
My mum was hardly eating before, but as the food on offer is so good, she has found her appetite again. She especially likes the chocolate trolley, and the afternoon tea and cake!
All in all we are very happy she is here and wish we had found Orchard Manor sooner.

Creating a homely, dignified, and joyful environment is at the heart of what we do, so hearing your mum is enjoying her room, the garden, and even has her appetite back, especially for chocolate and afternoon tea! We're also pleased you've found value in the variety of activities, the inclusive approach to care, and the little extras like hairdressing and chiropody, which we know can make a big difference.Thank you again for your kind words and trust in us

Orchard Manor is I believe one of the best care homes I have visited . All the staff generally care about the residents staying there. Their commitment and dedication to making OM a 'home away from home ' is outstanding . Their daily activities keep the residents happy and occupied . Visits from outside
providers/entertainers is clearly thought about and caters for everyone's taste. Residents are well looked after and there is a genuine happy atmosphere in the care home. Staff are led by an excellent Manager which makes for a very happy , professional team working there . You feel a general warmth and welcoming atmosphere arriving at OM, from the lady at reception through to the housekeeping team . Their daily activities staff are incredible , well done to you all. I could not wish for a better place for my father to be residing at. I am also always made to feel very welcome to have lunch with my father at any visit . A pleasure to visit when I can .

Orchard Manor made moving my lovely mother-in-law closer to us such a seamless process, they were all set and ready to attend to her needs and make her feel right at home. And that was the thing, it felt like a home from the moment we set foot inside, and we have seen a few. There is kindness and care
to make every resident feel valued and cared for, unique and understood with swift action when needed. I have heard the manager say that the staff work in what is their home (the residents), and it feels like that, like one family, living in beautiful spacious surroundings in a quiet natural rural setting with trees and birds outside the window, as well as activities. As ever, it all comes down to individual staff members who really go the extra mile, whether that's care, getting the right bed set up, cleaning, laundry, meals, or going into the garden together. They take the time to get to know her and her sense of humour, and that means a lot. Thank you all.
