Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

My mother moved into Orchard Manor for a period of respite which stretch to around 5 months. As a family we could not recommend this home enough. The care and attention that she received there was second to none and greatly aided her recovery. She is now back at her home thanks to the team there who put her back on her feet, both physically and mentally. I know she particularly loved the rural setting and her beautiful light and airy room. She was even persuaded to join in with the wonderful activities and day trips which were a triumph. A big thank you to the wonderful staff there.

Excellent management, support staff and deptuties. The care staff are very compasionate, kind and attentive. Mum has complex needs and they manage her dementia /parkinsons well. The medical care and support is also first class to save us having to take mum to numerous hospital and doctors appts....

My Mum moved into Orchard Manor in December 2025, Mum has alzheimer's and had got to a point where she couldn't look after herself. The team at Orchard Manor made the transition from hospital where Mum was recovering from hip surgery to the care home really smooth, on arriving they made Mum feel welcomed and safe. Mum has settled well due to the lovely, kind carers, they encourage Mum who is shy to join in the array of activities, as well as eating her meals with the other residents which she really enjoys. My mother has been a resident since mid February when she was discharged from hospital. The care she has received has been excellent, the staff have kept us well informed and acted promptly on any concerns we may have. The activities provided are many and varied - exercise classes, craft sessions, singing sessions, trips out... she is encouraged to join in which has made a big difference to her mental well being, she no longer spends the day sleeping in front of TV. Orchard Manor is a purpose built care home and as a result is spacious and airy with wide corridors, large lounge areas and nice gardens.

I am very happy with the care my wife is being given at Orchard Manor. The senior carers are always happy to discuss my wife's care and any issues I may raise. The activity staff are always very attentive to all residents and the activities and entertainment that is provided for the residents is extremely good. The residents are also taken out on regular occasions to places of interest which my wife really enjoys. My wife has been in other Care Homes prior to becoming a resident in Orchard Manor and this care home is by far the best and she enjoys the relationship she has with the carers. One very good aspect of Orchard Manor that I am very happy with is the policy of not segregating residents with dementia from all the other residents which I believe works well.

Unfortunately my husband lost his battle with Dementia in August I just have to thank the staff for their care and compassion for us both in his final days and for being there for me to comfort and reassure me in those difficult hours. I couldn't have done it without them .

I would say this is an outstanding care home, the staff are lovely, patients are always occupied, whether it be lunch in the garden, visiting museums, garden centres, the beach, chocolate hour, aerobics, such a lovely environment to be in. Security is high, lots of staff around.

The activities team and carers know all the residents really well and have built a really friendly team.
Orchard Manor regularly put on both outdoor and indoor events, mainly based on foods from around the world, which both residents and family members can enjoy. We were worried when my mother-in-law first went to Orchard manor, as she had lost weight and would sometime turn away food, which has all changed over the past year.

Mum is still active and able although often confused, the staff at Orchard Manor are patient, kind and tolerant of the challenges someone facing Dementia has to deal with. Having dealt with other homes for respite care with another parent, I also love that the staff have remained constant throughout her time at Orchard Manor, something that helps her feel settled and rooted. On a good 'mum' day she tells me she is very happy where she lives! Knowing that mum is safe, clean and fed is such a relief when we her family had reached the end of our ability to deal with her ourselves.

My mother reluctantly went into Orchard Manor for respite care however after the initial month our family decided that this was the best place for her as she was healthier happier and safer than she had been at home. This was in the most part due to the lovely caring staff not to mention the great facilities inside the home and lovely gardens outside. I know my Mum would have preferred to live her twilight years in her own home however as this proved to be impossible Orchard Manor is the next best thing.
