Everyone was very welcoming. I wasn't left alone much which I liked. All of the staff were very kind and caring and patient. The food was very good, the cakes were lovely! I enjoyed my time in the garden too. I loved my room too, thank your to everyone woh made my stay so wonderful.
But best of all is the staff. They are all so loving and caring. They really like their residents and look after each individual as if they were their own.
My aunt's end of life care included getting her back from hospital on Christmas Eve so she could be in her familiar place. She recovered from her fall but then declined a few weeks later. She was supported gently into her passing with such loving care that it eased the experience for me. It was a good death. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and moving review. We are deeply touched by your kind words and truly honoured that Park View was your Aunt's home for so many years. It means a great deal to know that you felt she was cared for with dignity, comfort and compassion,...
Food is incredible and nothing is too much trouble for the kitchen staff . Family are also taken into consideration and are involved if they want to be.
Cleanliness is second to none. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.
The carers ,day and night are so kind and considerate ..it must be a very stressful job at times. It takes a special kind of person to work there. The reception staff are always helpful and cheerful.
Thank you all .
Thank you for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are truly honoured that you chose PV to be part of such an important chapter of Dad's life. Knowing that he felt proud of his home, well cared for, and able to enjoy activities he loved means a great deal to us. We work hard to...
Park View looked after my Father and Brother over 4 years and at no time was I ever disappointed in their care. Charlotte, Pia and the team have acted with complete professionalism throughout their stay and I would also go as far to say that treated them both as if they were family members. All members of the team have always been warm and lovely and I would never hesitate to recommend Park View to anyone considering their services.
Thank you so much for your lovely message. It really means a lot to us to hear that Dad and your brother felt so well cared for during their time here at Park View. Knowing they were treated like family is exactly what we always hope for, and your kind words will mean so much to us all. Thank you...
I can highly recommend Parkview, it had a real ' home from home' feel to it and staff go out of their way to support residents and families.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! Hearing this was truly heartening for our team, as it reflects exactly the standard of care and compassion we strive to provide for every resident, whether they are with us for respite or longer-term care. We're really pleased we could support you and...
My husband stayed with you earlier this month for respite care. The home is bright and busy with lots of activities with quieter areas too. The staff are kind and caring. My husband probably found it difficult initially but by the end of his short stay seemed settled. Many thanks to the staff and the kindness shown to us both. Particular thanks to Pia for the time she gave to me on my initial visit.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to meet you both and to help support you both during your husband's first respite stay. I'm so pleased to hear that you both felt welcomed and cared for. We always aim to provide a warm, supportive environment with plenty of choice and...
The staff could not do enough to make the experience more favourable or pleasant. Everyone was so kind, empathetic and generous with their time. They checked on her very frequently, especially on the first day / night to ensure she was settled and had everything she needed. She really appreciated this as she didn't feel alone at all. She loved the food and activities and really embraced it. When I spoke to her she was really settled and has no worries at all about returning for subsequent respite as required. Thank you to the whole team for helping make it such a positive experience for her.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear that Mum felt supported and comfortable throughout her stay, especially during her first respite experience. It's lovely to know that the team's care, kindness and attention helped her feel at ease....
And the warmth was extended to us his family. We always felt welcome and nothing was too much trouble - the maintenance men stepped in at once when I had a problem with my car and sorted it in no time!
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It was a privilege to care for your husband and to support you and your family during such an important time. We are truly touched that you felt the warmth, respect, and humour we strive to bring to our care. Knowing that both your husband and...
My sister and I care for dad on a full time basis so it's very difficult for us to get away together. We put dad into respite care at Park View so that we could go away for a number of days knowing that dad would be cared for in a safe environment. We cannot recommend Park View highly enough, dad was greeted by many members of staff on his arrival and we were all given lunch to settle him in, everyone was so kind and helpful and we were sent lots of photos of his stay there so we knew he was getting on fine. Thank you Park View for helping us to get away for a break knowing dad was being well cared for.
Thank you so much for sharing your kind words. We understand how important it is for families to feel confident and at ease when a loved one comes into respite care, and we're delighted to hear that Dad felt welcomed and supported during his stay. It was a pleasure getting to know him and keeping...
My elderly Parents recently spent over a month at Park View to allow my Mother to receive high quality respite care following a long spell in hospital. Bright, modern & clean with a good variety of daily activities on offer. But, first and foremost, it is the brilliant staff who impressed me the most: kind, caring and professional, and always with a ready smile. Highly recommended :)
Thank you so much for your kind words and recommendation. We're delighted your parents felt comfortable at Park View and that your mother received the care and support she needed. Our team will be thrilled to hear your feedback about their kindness and professionalism. It means a lot to us :)
Just wanted to say a big big thank you to ParkView and all it staff with looking after my mum for over 3 years. The care, support, and overall state of the residence was absolutely outstanding. The staff are so caring and really do everything they can, every minute of the day to support the residents. The home is first class in terms of facilities and all of the services they offer. We are so thankfull for the support they gave, this is the best facility that I have heard of and seen in Gloucestershire.
Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. It truly means the world to us. We're incredibly proud of our team, and it's so rewarding to hear that their compassion and commitment made such an difference to your family. On behalf of everyone here, thank you to your family for placing your trust in us. It has been an absolute privilege to care for Mum.
The food and nursing staff were all excellent. I was well looked after and cared for. I would certainly come again if it was possible.
Thank you so much for your review. We are really looking forward to seeing you again in the New Year for your next break.
A very good place to go for respite care.
Thank you so much for your review. We were very happy to host you during your recovery, and wish you all the best for life back home.
Having given Park View excellent ratings in all categories, there is little I can add except to say that I enjoyed a lovely, lovely stay.
Thank you so much! We really enjoyed having you to stay and helping with your recovery. Wishing you all the best back at home, but feel free to come for a 'holiday' again any time!
I stayed at Park View for one week until the 2nd of June. I found the freedom of movement unexpected and welcome. The carers were hard-working and kind, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for anyone, which was very much appreciated, as I am quadriplegic. All in all I found from both an experience and a value for money viewpoint, excellent value for money.
Thanks for giving me a break knowing my husband was safe and cared for.
What a lovely review. Thank you! So glad we could be there to help. You're both welcome back any time. Take care
Mum stayed with you for six weeks whilst we went to visit our daughter in Japan. The care and attention she received was excellent. She came out of herself and joined in lots of activities rather than just staying in her room watching TV as she does at home. We received regular updates from them and they also updated Mum on what we were doing from our social media posts. We were able to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing Mum was safe and in such good hands.
Aww, thank you so much for your glowing review! We are so pleased that your trip of a lifetime was able to also be a relaxing one. It's a massive decision to make and thank you so much for taking the time to give feedback.
Mum seemed very happy here. Everywhere was lovely and clean. Also, all staff were very friendly. Everyone seemed very relaxed and happy.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It's always a pleasure to have Mum come and stay with us.
This was my first experience of my respite stay for five weeks. When I reached to Park View management greeted me and took me upstairs to my room. The staff are very good. Very clean. Very nice place stay. Enjoy a lot with the staff and residents. Best care home, I enjoyed doing activities.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It was a pleasure to have you come and stay with us. Wishing you and your family all the best for the future.
This was my first experience of respite care, and I was looked after extremely well. Activities were fun, food was marvellous, and I made many new friends. The only downside was that I found the bed a little uncomfortable, but apart from that, I would recommend a stay to anyone. Thank you, and hope to stay again soon.
Thank you for your review. We're happy you enjoyed your stay, and we look forward to seeing you again for your next respite stay. Just let me know if the bed is too firm, soft, big, or small, and we'll make sure it's just right.

Meet the Team (8)

Before working in care, my career spanned diverse industry sectors providing management, accounting, administrative and technical services. Now a registered manager with CQC for older people’s services, I first worked in care as commercial manager for Learning Disability Services some 13 years ago. I then found my passion and career ‘home’ when I took a role as care manager in a home for older people. Since then I have managed residential and nursing homes for older people living with and without dementia and love the different challenges that every day brings. I believe that supporting our staff is key to enabling our residents to live fulfilled and happy lives, and my passion is creating a home that becomes a community where families and friends are welcomed – a place people call ‘home’, that feels like ‘home’.
My Fondest Memory is of my father (not known for showing his emotions, and now sadly passed) greeting me at age 19 after some months away from home, by picking me up and swinging me around saying how he had missed me. It took me back to being a little girl when he used to swing me and my sisters around and we would wait in turn to be swung again.

I have experience in supporting the managements of a variety of different public-facing services, either directly through my own and admin support mechanisms, or via the facilities management function. Over time I have worked with a wide range of customers, staff, and stakeholders from all walks of life, all ages and abilities.
I am skilled negotiator and communicator; someone who is patient, compassionate, and takes time to understand people and their behaviours to determine requirements and approaches. I believe that maintaining positive internal and external relationships is key to a productive work environment, and that seeking out community and professional partnerships is essential to inform best practice and keep up to date, share resources and raise the profile of the business.
My Fondest Memory is of spending a week making flowers with paper plates and egg boxes and tissue paper so we could totally fill my grandmother’s (known as Dang) house full of flowers for her return from holiday on Mother’s day. Her face was a picture

I started my professional carer working in the home improvement industry, working originally in admin the moving into a sales role and leading two sales teams. After personal circumstances I decided to change my carer path to which I became passionate about the development of my team to provide a high quality standard of individually tailored care for each person that I co-support.
I worked with people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours for seven years, four as a senior team leader where I oversaw individual care on a 1:1 basis. I wanted to expand my knowledge on other sectors of care ranging from dementia to nursing. Since arriving at Parkview in July 2019 I have gained knowledge and support to allow me to progress with confidence to my current position.
My Fondest Memory was of my grandad. He was known as ‘Banky’ from where somebody couldn’t pronounce his name properly. We would always visit him on a Saturday at noon and he would always sit in his chair where he would watch grandstand or watching the horse racing on channel 4. He loved sitting in that chair watching sport drinking his tea.

Hi my name is Emily hiam and I have worked at park view for a year and a half, I started working a care setting in 2016 in a small care home.
I then came to park view and felt like I fitted in straight away, I really enjoy being a part of the residents lives! And them a part of mine. I love working with my team and all the staff.
My Fondest Memory I have is of my great grand parents, and going to see them every Sunday playing games and picking apples from the apple tree.

Trained at Cheltenham Catering College straight from leaving school in 1982. Worked in a variety of silver service restaurants and Hotels. I then progressed my career to contract catering working in the kitchen sections (Pastry, Mains etc). I was then offered a trainee Catering Manager position with the contract catering company and cooked for the executive dining rooms and workforce, as well as the staff restaurant.
Following this I went to a joint position as a Management couple for Beefeater Restaurants. A career move was made to Unilever foods as a Catering Manager for the next 18 years, catering for executive dining rooms, special functions and over one thousand employees to feed daily. I moved on from this to start my own business as a food hygiene trainer (still am) and although I enjoyed this , I soon missed the Cooking and serving. My passion for cookery helped me make the decision to come and work at Park View when it was offered.
I have worked at Park View for 4 years and have not looked back. I enjoy using my culinary skills to bring exciting new nutritional meals to our Residents.
My Fondest Memory Sitting at my Nan’s kitchen table waiting for her special Toffee Mallow Rice Krispy cakes, made with her own homemade toffee and marshmallows.

I’m Lucy Wellbeing lead. For the last six years I have held two Wellbeing roles, previously working in Stroud. I moved into care from customer service roles after supporting a close friend as she died of cancer and I promised her I would get a job where I made a difference. I watched Park View being built and was delighted to get the position here. I absolutely love my job and feel it is a real priveledge to be working here at Parkview. My teacher always told me off for talking in class and said I wouldn’t get a job just by the ability to chat.. how wrong she was. I have a passion for making peoples day and making people smile.
I live locally in Tredworth with my two beautiful girls and my husband.
My Fondest Memory…
I only had my grandmother growing up as child. My mum’s parents had died before I was born and my dad’s dad died when I was too young to know him. I remember going to my grandmas house and sitting and chatting to her for hours. She always listened to me and I made her laugh. She always bought us bottles of coke but could never do the lid up properly I got very used to flat coke !

I left school and went straight into the army for 10 years and travelled the world which really opened my eyes. Since leaving the army I have learnt a number of trades but over the last 20 years have been working on buildings learning each different aspect. I enjoy the variety of working at Parkview because no two days are the same. I have 5 children and 11 grandchildren and lots of grey hair!
Fondest Memory, I remember going to my grandparents in the prefabs making dens with deckchairs in their flowery garden. I became known for eating the flowers.

I have worked in Care for many years working in different care homes and the hospital. I have worked at Park View since 2016 and started as a carer before being promoted up to Senior Carer but then I made the decision to move over into Housekeeping for our Apartments because it gives me a different perspective of caring for the residents and it gives me a great sense of satisfaction to know all the residents on my floor have a beautiful and clean environment to live in.
Fondest memory – my Nan had her snuff in her pocket and always cooked the best roast dinner – she always used to tell me, “Don’t forget to spray your ha’penny”
