Mum has been a resident at Parris Lawn for a few years now, and we are very happy with the personal care that she receives from all the staff. We are kept well informed on her Heath and well being, on a regular basis, either by phone, or when we visit.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to read your positive comments about your mum's care at Parris Lawn Care Home and it's great to hear our level of communication with you is meeting your expectations. Your feedback will be passed on to the team who will be delighted with your 5* review.
Mum moved to Parris Lawn 4 months ago when Dad died. The team have made her so welcome and so comfortable that, despite her grief, mum is recovering from the strain of their last few months together, is well and enjoys talking to the various members of staff who drop in to see how she is, bring her drinks and delicious treats made by PL's own chefs. She has personalized her room with possessions from her home and is very pleased with its size and ensuite facilities. She is encouraged to attend the daily activities, taking part in exercise classes and currently enjoys catching up on reading and crosswords. I get a regular monthly call to discuss mum's health and wellbeing and have attended a relatives meeting to hear about new innovations like 'afternoon tea' where the chefs make extra special cakes for the residents, the excellent results of an independent review of all aspects of the operation of the home and provide my feedback. We're so glad we chose Parris Lawn!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased you were able to attend our relatives meeting and that the introduction of our High Tea has been well received. We're also glad that the level of care the home provides is meeting your expectations and that your mum feels...
Since my father's arrival in January 2023, I have nothing but praise for the way he has been treated at Parris Lawn. After a serious fall in another care home, he couldn't wait to come here. Once he had settled in, he realised how beneficial residency here was to his welfare and has commented on this many times. The care and compassion that is shown is exemplary. Staff are always ready to help and I , personally , feel reassured knowing that he receives 24/7 care. I appreciate the constant feedback and always return to my own home knowing that he is in safe, caring hands.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to read your positive comments about your father's care at Parris Lawn Care Home and that you appreciate our regular communication with you. Your feedback will be passed on to the team who will be delighted with your 5* review.
My father came to Parris lawn at the end of his life. His needs were complex and he was in pain. The nursing staff were absolutely dedicated and excellent, treating him with kindness and respect. The manager and other staff were kind, responsive, supportive and hugely helpful and reassuring at a very stressful time. We could not have asked for more and are very grateful for the care and support. We would recommend Parris Lawn wholeheartedly.
Thank you for your kind words and recognition of the team at Parris Lawn. We are sorry for your loss, and we are pleased the team were able to support your father and your family at such a stressful time. Your comments will be passed on to the team.
I've been extremely impressed with all the staff since my dad moved into Parris Lawn - great communication and pro-active support from management and really kind, friendly and thorough care (particularly medical) with regular calls to update me on how he is doing. I feel fully confident that my dad is in safe hands at a very difficult time. They have made the process about as easy as it could have possibly been.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to read your positive comments about your dad's care at Parris Lawn, and it is lovely to hear you feel confident in our care and that we've felt supported by the team. Parris Lawn were very accommodating in ensuring that they could continue to be together as they were at home.
The rooms are spacious, warm, comfortable and very well furnished.
Within a week they looked so much better due to the amount of care that they had received such as GP, Chiropody, haircuts and general help with washing, dressing and laundry.
The staff update me regularly and the standards of safety and security within the home are very high.
Everyone is friendly and always happy to help.
Knowing that they are being well cared for is very reassuring. Moving into a 'home' is a major life transition but moving to Parris Lawn has been an easy move overall. I feel much less stressed and worried about Mum and Dad and although it has been a big change for them it has taken away a lot of their anxiety about the future.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to read your positive comments about your parent's care at Parris Lawn, and it's great that while the transition is of course a major one as we know, the team have fully supported you in the process. Your feedback will be passed on to the team who will be delighted with your 5* review.
Parris Lawn made my mother very welcome, at short notice and supported her and the family well through the settling in period. It was so nice that they took time to get to know her, her interests and past experiences. Mum really appreciates the dedicated and thorough nursing care she is receiving. After just a few weeks, she is already stronger and much more comfortable. Sincere thanks to all the team.
We would like to thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for the positive comments about the home and team at Parris Lawn Care Home. It's great to hear your mum is settling in well and that she feels stronger and comfortable with us. All comments will be passed on to the team.
My only criticism is of the company, not the home. Caring Homes have a policy of not sending a member of staff with a resident should they need emergency treatment. This, I learned, is a policy favoured by many of the big care companies. I don't understand how they can justify sending a resident with dimentia into A&E alone. In my opinion, not very caring.
Mum passed away in the home and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive towards both me and her at the end. They allowed her to pass peacefully and with dignity. Thank you to all of you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for your kind words and recognition of the team at Parris Lawn Care Home. We are so sorry for your loss, and I am pleased to hear your appreciation for the care offered. Thank you for the feedback, this will be passed on to senior management.
My husband has been a resident in Parris Lawn since March 2023, so coming up for 2 years! In all the time I can only thank and praise the staff for their continuing care for him, even managing to get a smile out him! A rare thing nowadays with his complex condition, but so so lovely when it happens! For me it's taken so much of the worry and stress away knowing he's receiving the very best care at all times.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so sorry for the recent loss of your husband, and we hope our team were able to support you in a positive way. Your feedback will be passed on to the team.
I wish mum would join in some activities but she is shy when mixing with people. She enjoys having her hair done each week in the hair salon. Mum enjoys her food most of the time and the chef is very accommodating to mum's needs with regards to food. Always smiling faces when I walk into reception.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to read your positive comments about your mum's care at Parris Lawn, and that the team make you feel welcome when you visit. We're glad your mum enjoys the hair salon service and is enjoying the food that we have on offer. Your feedback will be passed on to the team who will be delighted with your 5* review.
The team have been very understanding about timings in terms of admission dates. Now my mother is there she is receiving great care. It's lovely to go and see her. This is also commented on by her other visitors.
We would like to thank you for your words of kindness which are very much appreciated, and we're glad your mother is enjoying staying with us at Parris Lawn. All comments will be passed on to the team.
Rooms are all a generous size and all ensuite, care seems good and always a nurse on duty on each floor.
Any queries or issues dealt with promptly and impressed with the level of care my father receives. I have eaten there myself 3 times and a good selection of quality food provided.
A real nice gesture was the offer for my wife and 3 children to have Christmas lunch on a private lounge on Christmas day free of charge, this made it so much easier for all and again a nice meal delivered.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to read your positive comments about your father's care at Parris Lawn and it is lovely to hear that the food and service we have on offer is to your expectations. A smile from my mum has come to be a very rare thing, unfortunately, and I had just put it down to her condition. However, since being placed at Parris Lawn, she hasn't stopped smiling.
It's quite obvious that this is a response to the happy vibes and patient professionalism at Parris Lawn.
Words can't describe how relieved I am to see my mum smile at this late stage in her condition and I will be forever grateful to the staff here for giving me that priceless feeling.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for your kind words and recognition of the team at Parris Lawn Care Home. All the staff made my mum feel very safe and well cared for. They were reassuring, calm, caring and friendly. Very professional and we felt like she was in good hands. It was such a relief to feel confident that she had the 24-hour care that we were unable to offer. They offered her the food that she was able to eat, which was very limited, but kept us supplied with drinks. Staff kept us informed when her condition deteriorated and stayed with her throughout the night, ensuring that she was comfortable and pain-free.
A huge thanks to the staff at Parris Lawns for taking such excellent care of my mum in the final days of her life.
Thank you for your kind words and recognition of the team at Parris Lawn. We are sorry for your loss, and we are pleased that your mum received the care that she deserved while she was staying with us. Your comments will be passed on to the team.
My Mom came to Parris Lawns for 2 weeks of respite care in October 2024, after becoming very unwell at home. My Mom loved Parris Lawns as soon as she arrived. All the staff were welcoming and friendly and she was getting 5* care. There are nurses on hand 24/7 which puts her mind at rest and they know how to treat her pain (terminal cancer - secondary breast cancer), she felt very safe and more importantly, cared for. She wasn't eating well before but now, with beautiful meals served to her 3 times a day, she told me she's never eaten so well. The respite care was extended for another 2 weeks as she didn't feel safe to go back to her flat. We have now secured a permanent residence for her and she is part of a community of residents and staff who are wonderful. As her daughter, it has been such a weight off my mind to know that she has round-the-clock care by professionals and that she is much happier now being at Parris Lawns. Thank you Parris Lawns for the great job you do.

My sister came to Parris Lawn after a gallbladder operation. The Home found out how to care for her specific needs and helped her on her road to recovery. The carers were excellent and it was very easy to deal with all the staff at Parris Lawn; whether on the nursing/caring side or the management side.

Mum arrived at Parris Lawn after discharge from Eastbourne Hospital and has been there for approximately 5 months. We chose Parris Lawn because it was a modern, purpose-built nursing home that was able to provide the care that Mum needed. I and other members of the family, when visiting have always felt very welcome and there is a good atmosphere in the home, staff always being polite and friendly. The care received seems to be very good and have felt no need to question the standard the care that Mum receives, with Mum always looking comfortable and well cared for. Her room is always clean and warm. As a family, we are very happy.

Mum has received excellent care and attention from all staff members. We always feel welcomed and 'at home' when we visit. Communication from the care home team is regular and clear. The building is always clean, organised, and accessible. Housekeeping is outstanding and catering is very considered and impressive.

I value the regular phone calls from the nurses to update me on Mum's health and any issues. After the initial settling-in period, Mum seems more content and comfortable now than she has been for several years.
Mum really enjoyed a recent entertainment from a Glyndebourne opera singer, along with most of the residents, family and friends. Well done Parris Lawn!

It was not an easy decision for Mum and Dad to make such a huge transition to moving into care but all the staff at Parris Lawn have made it very much the right decision.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Firstly, we are so sorry for your loss and we hope we made your dad's time with us was as comfortable and as peaceful as possible.
