Hairdressing, chiropody, newspapers and other personal items are available at an additional cost. We recognise that there is often a significant difference between the fees for privately funded residents and those funded by the local authority.
Our solution has been to bring down the cost to private clients and ask families for Council funded clients to assist with care costs.
This approach allows us to remain financially sustainable while continuing to provide high-quality care, excellent staffing levels and a safe, comfortable environment for all residents.

Joanne started at Red Roofs Care Home, Newark, in 2011 as a carer. Since then, her dedication and passion have seen her continually take on more responsibility, becoming Deputy Manager at Red Roofs in 2016, and she then moved to become the Home Manager at Red Rose Care Community in Farndon and has now joined us at Red Court Care Community in Grantham.
With a passion for learning and helping people, Joanne is a calming influence and offers strong leadership to support both residents and staff in bringing the best out in our community. You will often find her talking to residents to find new ways to help with different activities, extra facilities or events. For Joanne, it is important that every person gets the very best care.
Since starting my career with the Red Homes group as a bank care assistant, I have progressed by embracing a variety of diverse roles, including senior carer, unit leader, and deputy manager.
As well as experience, I have achieved level 3 and level 5 qualifications in Health and Social Care – helping me to provide the expert care our residents truly deserve. One of the proudest moments of my career was to oversee a successful Care Quality Commission inspection of our 47-bedded residential home, which resulted in a ‘Good Rating’ of our home.
I always treat our residents with the same level of respect, compassion and care that I would expect for my loved ones, and continue to embody and share these values and ethos with my team.
