The care home has gone through some positive transitions over the past few months and really is a lovely place for my mum. Staff are always willing to help and accommodate. Covid rules have been thoroughly adhered to during lockdown which was a huge relief. Food is second to none. Really am impressed. Thank you Red Court!

The standard of the home is fantastic, the staff and manager are friendly and understanding. I feel my mum is in the best place to meet her needs. The staff understand what my mum's needs are and make sure her social stimulation is always taken into account. The activities in the home are very fun and Mum loves to join in.

Mum has settled in extremely well following a difficult stay in a previous care home. All staff are very friendly and caring. No care home will ever be good enough for our mum but Red Court is pretty close.

Friendly staff, caring in nature putting my mam at ease as she settled into her new home. Good selection of voluntary activities that all can join in with or not, this assists in keeping Mam mentally stimulated.

This is the first time I have been able to visit my mum in the home in 18 months due to living in France and Covid. My mum became a resident during this time. The staff are very helpful, friendly and competent, the facility is spotlessly clean. This has given me lots of comforts as I return to France that my mum is in great hands. Thank you to all the team.

All the staff were really helpful and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. My father was able to die with dignity in the company of family, at a very difficult time.

My partner has Dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. He cannot stand, walk or do anything for himself and is confused. The staff care for him very well and are cheerful and chatty with him. This includes all the care staff, nurses, cleaning, laundry and admin. I am kept informed of health events and feel lucky to be able to visit weekly with PPE. The rooms are kept clean, and he likes the food. He is encouraged to socialise and not left alone for long periods.

Overall Experience

My mum was only in for just over 2 months and they couldn't have been any more accommodating. The manager, deputy manager and carers have been exceptional and really welcomed my mum. They said we could call and visit at any time, until lockdown. As my mum deteriorated quite quickly they did let us visit her last 2 weeks. They kept me up to date on her condition and was called as soon after she passed away. Thank you to everyone who cared for her.

Since Red Court (under new management) took over, we feel a more positive approach. Refurbishment of entrance areas and resident's rooms give a relaxed fresh feel. If anything, the only point to mention is staffing levels at weekends (seems low)

Cara WydraJob Title:Deputy Manager

Since starting my career with the Red Homes group as a bank care assistant, I have progressed by embracing a variety of diverse roles, including senior carer, unit leader, and deputy manager.

As well as experience, I have achieved level 3 and level 5 qualifications in Health and Social Care – helping me to provide the expert care our residents truly deserve. One of the proudest moments of my career was to oversee a successful Care Quality Commission inspection of our 47-bed residential home, which resulted in a ‘Good Rating’ of our home.

I always treat our residents with the same level of respect, compassion and care that I would expect for my loved ones, and continue to embody and share these values and ethos with my team.
