You were all so very kind from the moment we called for our initial enquiry to see if you could take our beautiful Mummy on to your Nursing floor for respite care, forgoing all the administration as it was a weekend and allowing her to come to you on the Saturday. It made such a difference to us all
knowing she was so happy, peaceful and well cared for. When we spoke to Mum on her first day, she said what a beautiful room she was in, how amazing the food was, how lovely all the staff were and that they were treating her like 'royalty'. You made what turned out to be her last days so comfortable. One nurse, in particular, was such a lovely caring nurse, and two others also lovely people - we couldn't have wished for better care and love. The Senior Village Adviser was so helpful and kind from our initial enquiry to the days after Mum passed away. We all felt Richmond Village was a lovely place to be cared for during what unfortunately were her last days. Thank you so much.

From the first day, we visited Wood Norton to view the facilities we cannot praise the staff enough. The staff on the Hanbury Unit are brilliant nothing is too much trouble for them.
Mum has bo complaints as she says the staff are always smiling and happy and take care fo her every need. She wants
for nothing and feels safe.

The staff are all excellent from the Clinical Lead down to the hospitality and cleaning staff.
They all treated our father with the utmost care and dignity as if he was their own father.
The lovely food and environment helped extend his life I am sure. I am so glad he was able to live in such beautiful
surroundings with lovely gardens to enjoy.

Our experience with Wood Norton has been very positive. The staff have always been sensitive, caring and respectful to the service user. In their words "I cannot fault the staff" for us as friends/relatives the staff have been extremely responsive and given us all the time we needed. They have also
been willing to bend over backwards to meet the service users wishes (i.e decorate bedroom)
Finally, we have valued and appreciated the balance between professionalism and the personal touch.

I first visited the palliative care unit to view the facilities on offer, as our father was not expected to survive more than a few weeks. The welcome I received was warm and considerate; nothing was too much trouble. Our father moved to the Richmond Wood Norton unit, where he received outstanding
palliative care. It could not have been more different from the terrible treatment he was receiving in the hospital. Attention to detail at the Woodnorton is impressive. His room was beautiful with a fantastic view out over the countryside. His clothes were all labelled, laundered and put away. All the staff are warm, friendly and considerate - they take time not only to care for the patient but also for the family/visitors - they talk to you and explain what is happening. They sang to my father when they took care of him. His pain relief was carefully managed and he was made as comfortable as possible for his last few days. I cannot thank them enough. The place is brilliant.

This is a beautiful, extremely well run care home, more like a 5 star hotel. All the staff, including sales staff, reception, restaurant, cleaners and all the carers are all exceptionally caring and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Mum loves it there!

Father came to Richmond Village Wood Norton for his end of life care, and from the moment he arrived, he was treated with dignity and respect, giving his family peace of mind at a difficult time. A beautifully appointed place, with plenty of quiet areas. Rooms are an adequate size and the wet room is excellent. Not long been open as a care home so it is difficult to judge how it would be when there are more residents. Plenty of activities on offer, if residents choose to join in. Bespoke training
for specific illnesses, e.g. Parkinsons's would be beneficial. Everyone is very kind and helpful.

My mum was a resident for two weeks on the care unit at Wood Norton. The love, care and support she was given was exceptional and indeed our family. She was treated with such dignity equal to her being at home. I cannot thank the staff enough for their professionalism they were incredible so loving
and caring it made the situation we were in so much easier to deal with and for my dad to face the future. I cannot thank them all enough or recommend Wood Norton village more highly.

My parents moved to Wood Norton on the Care Floor in the middle of May 2019. Although there are no double or connecting rooms, they do have rooms next to each other which is a real bonus. They both need assistance in getting about and the carers are very supportive of making sure my parents spend as
much time together as they want.
They are settling in well now thanks to the care, consideration and friendliness of all the staff.
My father had his 95th birthday last week and the catering staff really put themselves out so our Family could have a lunch party within easy access of their rooms. In the afternoon we moved out onto the terrace for tea and cake to which other residents on the floor were invited. It made for a very sociable afternoon for us all.
I have no reservations in recommending Richmond Wood Norton Care Home to anyone who is looking for quality, dignity in care in delightful surroundings.

My husband has been at Wood Norton since April and l am overwhelmed at the care and support he receives. He is happy and content as he is treated with utmost dignity, warmth and respect.
