All the staff at Rose Villa are amazing. I can find nothing at all to complain about. My husband has been a resident since May 2023 and is as settled and contented since he arrived.
Food, nursing, activities all first rate. I visit daily and am always welcomed warmly. I cannot recommend all aspects
of my husband's highly enough Well done Rose Villa.

Our relative only spent a few weeks in Rose Villa for end of life care, but the care and attention they received, and the care the staff showed to our family during a very difficult time was excellent. Staff were caring and compassionate, and the home was well maintained and well managed. Thank you
to everyone for making a very difficult time just a little bit easier, we will always be grateful.

My mother has only been in Rose Villa for a couple of months but so far we have been very happy with the care provided. My mother can't express her needs and requires full time nursing care which the staff provide with dignity and respect. They are very attentive and make every effort to ensure her
comfort. The staff have gone out of their way to get to know mum and look after her accordingly.
The whole team have also been very supportive of the family through what has been quite a difficult time. Communication of any issue has been prompt and it gives us peace of mind knowing mum is so well cared for. We would not hesitate to recommend Rose Villa.

My mum was a resident in Rose Villa from Sept 2023 until she sadly passed away in July this year. The care my mum received in this time was exceptional, mum was always clean and well cared for, and the staff all took time to get to know Mum and understand her needs. There was always a lot of organised
entertainment which everyone enjoyed. I would not hesitate in recommending Rose Villa they truly are a hardworking, caring team, well led by the manager.

My mother has just celebrated her 105th birthday and has been a resident since July 2023. She is very happy and the family are all pleased with the care and attention she receives. She is always telling us how lovely all the staff are and how she enjoys her meals. I do not think the care and attention
can be faulted in any way. This means that the family have peace of mind knowing that she is so well looked after.

My aunt is a very old lady with dementia and she is always treated with the utmost respect from the very professional staff. She is always very clean and she has the option to have her hair done every week. A brilliant service which is very well-led.

We chose this home for convenience for my mum to visit my dad, as he was admitted in August. He was in Rose Villa. He had a lovely room overlooking the car park, so he could check on people coming in etc.
The care from everyone in this villa is second to none. We as a family spent many hours with Dad
and were never made to feel as if we were in the way ever. The villa is constantly being kept clean, Dad was never left dirty or messy. Lovely lounge, unfortunately Dad wasn't well enough to use it, except once when they laid out a table for my mum and dad to celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary together.
The staff are so caring and went above and beyond in Dad's final days. So glad we found this place. If you want a caring home for your loved one, then look no further.

My mum moved to Rose Villa in early January 2022 from the hospital. The staff had put all her pictures up in her room and made it lovely for her. All the staff are absolutely amazing with Mum and all the family. Mum is so happy and loves the staff. Nothing is any trouble to them, her every need is taken
care of. The whole family are happy with the home and the care Mum receives.

My mum was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimers and had been at Grosvenor Villas for over 10 years. Her care was exemplary, the staff were loving and caring. Until Covid, my dad visited Mum every day and they treated him like family. My mum died a week ago and the staff were incredibly supportive and
sensitive throughout the last couple of weeks of life. They left us to look after her and sit with her but were always on hand to help if we needed it. Although all of the staff were excellent, I would like to mention two staff members in particular. They really knew Mum and were clearly very fond of her. I cannot put into words how grateful I am to the staff at Rose Villa for enabling Mum to live her last years in comfort and dignity.

My mum recently passed away in Rose Villa having been a resident for over 11 years. Many of the same staff were with her throughout this time and they have become like family. They provided such tender, loving care, not only for Mum but also for Dad and the rest of the family. Mum's welfare and comfort
were always their priority. The standard of care was excellent but importantly, it was the manner in which the care was provided that has marked the team out as exceptional. Words just don't seem enough to express our sincere gratitude for all they have done.

The biggest thank you in the world would still not be enough for us to give to all the wonderful staff at Rose Villa. You are all a credit to your profession. The welcome you gave our dad and the kind and thoughtful way you all took such good care of him was so reassuring to us and Dad. Nothing was
ever too much trouble, you all gave Dad and our family such comfort in the short time he stayed with you. Please never stop what you are all doing because you do it so well.

My father was transferred to Rose Villa over three weeks ago. He has required a considerable amount of nursing care. The care he has received has been wonderful. He was able to tell me he was happy here. Sadly his condition deteriorated. The care has continued to be outstanding. Every member of staff
is friendly and caring. I was able to hear interaction between staff and residents and they were always professional and caring.
The support given to us has been exceptional at such an emotional time.

My mother was only here for her last week after she was discharged from hospital at 92. The staff were very kind and caring and clearly had a great deal of expertise in end-of-life care, ensuring my mother's last few days were as comfortable and positive as possible. Several of the staff got to bond
with my mother in spite of her being only semi-conscious much of the time, stroking and comforting her. Communication was excellent especially as we all live some distance away and the staff went out of their way to facilitate phone contact with my Mum. I was very impressed by the knowledge and caring attitude of all the staff and the expertise and insights they shared with me about the medical aspects of her progress towards the end of life. This ensured that my mother had a peaceful and comfortable passing. Outstanding staff, dedicated to the comfort and well-being of frail elderly people, especially from the senior nurses.

I recommend this nursing home (Rose Villa) unreservedly.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.540)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.540) out of 10 for Rose Villa (Grosvenor Villas) is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.840 for Rose Villa (Grosvenor Villas) is calculated as follows: ( (69 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 81 Ratings = 4.84
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rose Villa (Grosvenor Villas) is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
