Needs greater continuity of information/care from shift to shift.

Great building, very good environment for care.

Residents on dementia ward are really quite restricted in how far they can move (unattended). They are limited to 2 rooms and 40 metres of corridor. This is in no way stimulating and whilst many are subject to DOLS, a larger and safe environment would be good, especially when taking into account gardens and ground floor reception room.

I have noticed sometimes that messages don't get passed on from one member of staff to another. I wish each client had a book in their room so their family can put down what they want to tell staff (or remind them), that would save walking around before they leave to say what's what. Why don't you have a green small bin to put in dead flowers when family bring new in, then they can put it outside the client's door for emptying, or show family where the green bin is then they do it. It saves the smell in the client's bedroom.

From the first moment to the last the quality of service, care and welcome given to my mother during her convalescence at Savernake was excellent. She was very happy there and sorry to go home again as it felt like a holiday as well as being somewhere to recover after surgery.

An extremely pleasant and spoiling experience. I would suggest a tea and coffee trolley used in the mornings for distribution once in the morning instead of staff distributing individually. Needs to have air con or fan in the bathrooms and main bathroom shower hose is not long enough. Bathroom cabinet needs to be repositioned. More shelving required in bathroom.

It is lovely to spend some quality time with mum in a beautiful relaxed environment. All the staff are very friendly and always have time to chat to mum. She is kept busy joining in with all the activities provided, often going out in the minibus to the wildlife park, b&q and the pub. Mum is very well cared for and is happy, the food is delicious, I occasionally have lunch with mum. Her bedroom is beautiful and all areas are spotless. Mum enjoys walking in the garden and chatting to her friends. If mum is happy, I'm happy. Mums new home is a lovely home.

The warmth and caring approach that is shown by all the staff to both residents and family members is outstanding. My mother describes it as "being in heaven and living with a team of angels". Best described as professional care in a beautiful, friendly and clean environment where people are treated with real dignity and respect. Highly recommend.

My husband has only been in residence here for two weeks. It has been a hard time for the whole family. However, it has been made so much easier because he is happy, comfortable, healthy and stimulated. He says that the people are good here, there are lots of things to do and the food is excellent. The rest of us have found the staff to be helpful, informative and supportive. The surroundings are lovely. What more can I say.

First impression was very good. Standard of rooms, decor, furniture and fitting and spaciousness was excellent. On our initial meeting, my husband and I were introduced to the staff he would encounter during Respite care - we were delighted by the warmth and friendliness shown to us. This early impression was amply justified by care throughout the fortnight spent in August and subsequent visits. The home is newly opened, so I had time to acquaint myself with the managerial staff who not only represent the excellent accommodation and services available at Savernake View Care Home also the ethos, together with personal enthusiasm to deliver and exceptional quality of care for patients with dementia. Activities will be organised and will be supported.

Hello, my name is Rachael Khan-Lowe, and I am the Home Manager here at Savernake View.

I have worked in care since 2015 after qualifying as a general nurse from Sheffield Hallam University. Since qualifying as a nurse, I have worked in various settings, including nursing homes, acute settings, primary care and within charities. I have recently completed a master’s degree in integrated health and social care to develop my leadership and management skills, which are essential parts of running a successful care home.

When I am not spending time with our residents and team, you will find me with my husband travelling around in our campervan exploring the local area. I was brought up in Yorkshire but lived in Nottingham until recently, and we are enjoying living in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.

Hello, my name is Robyn, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Savernake View.

I have been working in the care sector since October 2021. I really enjoy working here in Marlborough, and our residents and team members here at Savernake View are all incredibly friendly, welcoming and ready for a good laugh! In addition to this, we are really lucky to be here in Marlborough surrounded by a lovely local community.

Finding the right environment for yourself or a loved one’s future care can be a difficult and daunting choice, so it is my role to provide guidance and support throughout the process to ensure that you are fully informed ahead of any decision you may make.

The best way to find out more about the care we provide is to come and visit our beautiful home and experience it for yourself, during which time I will be able to discuss your requirements with you in more detail and answer any questions you may have concerning your circumstances. I would be delighted to show you around our home, and I hope to meet you in the very near future.
